| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The battle was pretty weak and the tension was low. Was completely expecting Nakazato to win. So there's gonna be another battle? The 86 was left behind right at the beginning. He'll probably win, though. He has to race against Ryosuke, right? But with this many episodes left, I dunno what'll happen. 4/5 |
| god forbid another egotistical, over-confident jerk runs their mouth at Takumi, expecting to come out on top. i mean seriously? do they really believe his 4 consecutive wins are nothing but flukes or something? not only that, but he's dominating the 'best of the best', not some no-name racers. talk about incompetence |

| Was good to see a race that Takumi was not featured in though it wasn't that exciting. Hope he smokes the new guy. |

| Ehh.. My money 100% on Takumi It's not about the rain But that arrogant guy.. Definitely going to lose If he's winning, I don't know why I'm watching Takumi as main character xD |

| Seeing both of Takumi's opponents Keisuke and Nakazato racing was cool, being the first two they had a lot of time to improve. On top of that they're both good sports and likable dudes. Almost couldn't decide who I wanted to win but definitely wanted Nakazato in my heart(if not only so he doesn't lose on his own turf). That ending call in the race(the last corner being downhill) was super calculated too, we can really see how he's starting to drive like Ryosuke. Kenta, being a little too convenient seeing he was introduced last episode as almost a successor in training to Keisuke, is still a nice treat to send us directly into another race. Raining, new course, new opponent, probably a focus on Takumi unlike the last race, this should be great. Convenient, simple cheese to rule of cool racing action is what this show is about! Can't help but think it'll lead right into the final Ryosuke race to end off first stage in a high note. |
| It was refreshing to see a race without Takumi for once, it was fairly easy to predict who would win, and it was also a short one, but it was still new. I also felt sorry for Nakazato at first, losing two big races, but he wasn't graceful about his loss, and tried to pass it off as Keisuke being lucky. It was also unpleasant to see that crook called Shingo again, argh. But in the end Takumi still stole the spotlight, and he ended up accepting a race. That Kenta's attitude was insufferable, he was so full of himself! I understand he has a kind of crush/strong admiration for Keisuke and wants to avenge him, but his tone was still annoying and aggressive, so I can't wait for Takumi to teach him a lesson. He has been driving in rainy and snowy days for five years, I'm (not) sorry to say it, but the boy doesn't have any advantage. Well, I'm not expecting much from this one, but let's see. |

| Pretty sure Keisuke is my favorite character. He's cocky and arrogant but is still a cool guy that treats other racers with respect when they're not racing. |

| The battle got complicated when it started raining. I expected Nakazato to be victorious, but Keisuke's abilities really changed positively and he managed to conquer difficulties of driving under the pressure of being a guest racer and driving in the rain (I mean, the first phase of raining). Next duel will be interesting - for both racers this is the first time for 'em on this route, and it started raining for good. |

| It seems they reordered content in the manga for the anime. Kenta doesn't even appear until after Takumi vs Ryousuke. I'll have to read it myself. |

| Pretty low races as Takumi is waiting for Ryousuke in the meantime he'll race with this so called "rain specialist" not knowing Takumi drives day and night rain or snow dudes a beast and his normal driving is still his best driving, you know what they say raise your floor not your ceiling. |
