| I think this is the first time Ivy ever celebrated her birthday on screen, at least with people she can now trust. Again though, this episode had to rely on Ivy's abilities as usual. It's no surprise now that Ivy is such a valuable asset to the party. At this point in the show, I think Ivy has proven a lot to others. |

| A rare slime as Sora, she's quite the lie-proving slime, though the group likes to poke fun at each other, which I find rather hilarious. But back to real business with Meela and the brother Tolto and Malma of the Green Gale, it's hard for people who've been close to them to think of their past friendships, only to delve into the path of evil. And since it's 10 years that the secret organization had existed, there may've been other people than the Green Gale involved with it. And to think that a 9-year-old like Ivy who can help them with issues like these and have her birthday celebrated rather surprisingly, Lattrua and the others really find Ivy fascinating, though the road ahead will not be easy plucking out the traits. And going straight to the Guildmaster Rogleef and the Watch's attendants, the investigation has begun immediately. Ivy and Sora literally checking each and everyone in the Watch, this is quite the efficient way, though it's quite exhausting. And it's not just the regular members of the Watch, but the nobility people on the top like Faltoria. There's little to do about those already killed or disposed of, so focusing on their current actions is the next logical step. With a little bit of help from the god in her head (and believing that she's 9), Blazing Sword found the critical evidence, though they must be careful not to take any risks. And Lattrua...literally is the only person knowing that Ivy is a girl, though when Meela came along, he tries to play her off while defending Ivy. Trouble is coming for both Lattrua and Ivy, with the Green Gale joining them... |

| ivy turning 9 (or at least talking about it) during the 9th episode, nice lmao having a slime that can see through people who are bad, how interesting is that? but holy shit, so many bad people, no wonder they could never catch them ... i'm sure more poeple have thought about Ivy being a girl, but not everyone has the "courage" to ask it lol i thought she would say no, but she ended up confessing lastly, the trio asking them to go out, the way they talked "the 5 of us hehehe", there's no way i'd go with them, i'd just scream so everyone would come help (now i don't know if they would just hurt her if she did scream but that's another story lol |

| We caught up with the manga this episode. That's like the 3rd series this season doing so this week, lol! Ivy's real sex was discovered but Rattloore decided to keep her secret. In any case, iirc the anime fails to mention (the manga does so I assume the LN does too) that those kidnappers have a preference for young boys, so ironically unveiling Ivy being a girl would work in her favor in this case lol...I bet Mira would've acted way less chummy if she knew kek. Anyway, Rattloore is a bro and plays the osananajimi card to not let Ivy go with Mira alone. Then the other two dudes show up, 1 vs 3 sheesh... |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

| Another great episode, I cannot get enough of this anime. Sadly it will end soon but at least we will wrap this arc and see what happens afterwards as manga did not cover that part yet. I have no idea how much LN material is left afterwards, but if possible I would love to see Season 2 one day. |

| Late again but all is well. This was a good setup episode for what is to come. Ivy pouting about her age and young appearance never gets old. I also loved the little nod to Ivy's knowledge from her past life leaking in here and there. The bookshelf scene, while changed from the LN, was hilarious and well done. I am quite happy with this episode on that front. One thing I did miss was some of the explanation as to why so many people missed "obvious" clues before Ivy came in like a bloody wrecking ball. It's a short and simple explanation and not really spoilerly so I will put it below: After 7ish years of trying to catch an ever-growing criminal group, everyone is pretty worn out mentally when it comes to the topic. Constantly dealing with such an organization, always thinking they are close to catching them here and there, only to have the rug pulled out from under them. The deaths of many allies from the failed raids and assassinations. All of that just made everyone numb to specific details. Ivy came in with not only a fresh viewpoint but with knowledge like the bookshelf trope. LN Stuff! |

| With Meela pressuring Ivy to join her to a sweets shop it's good to see that Lattrua will join them but now with those brothers also joining they're outnumbered. Hopefully either Ciel or some of Lattrua's people will keep an eye on them in case Meela tries kidnapping Ivy. |

| I'm really loving how they are handling the "isekai" aspect of this show. It really lets Ivy feel like a natural part of this world, and not an outsider like most reincarnations. Usually, they are reborn will all of their previous memories and experiences intact, and so while they were technically born in, and grew up in the world, they still feel like outsiders. But Ivy only having vague flashes of occasional "inspiration" from her previous life, and some muscle memory (cooking) she still feels like her own unique character, apart from whoever she was in her previous life. She herself is learning just as much about who she was in her previous life, as she is about who she is in this life. I've never seen it handled quite like this, and I'm really enjoying it. |

| @Jackson1333 This was one of my favorite parts about the LN. There are random things that pop up and just makes me laugh. The movie comment from her past life is one of those. Amusing times were had with her remembering things like how evil nobles/organizations act or monsters from horror movies, making her wonder what kind of hellscape she lived in before her current life. |

| The ability to tell whether a person is "good" or "bad"? And the entire adventurer's guild and the city watch just accept that without question? Especially when a nine-year-old (who looks even younger) with a mysterious background is making these claims? I get that it's a feel-good anime about a good girl making friends, but come on, this is a little too convenient... This episode was especially interesting in that sense too, I don't think it was mentioned that her past life was helping her cook. Also, I assume her past self read at least a few detective stories, getting lucky with that trick bookcase. Bonus points that she's not overpowered simply for being an isekai protagonist; her "insights" aren't even guaranteed to be helpful. |
| This whole episode seemed way too simple, relying on Sora as a perfect lie detector or guilt detector. At least Konosuba got some humor out of such a device. Slight complication at the end, with Ivy getting invited out to eat by a known enemy (and that voice in her head could be telling her that sweets are the stereotypical food offered by a kidnapper to pacify a child), but she's in the city, in the daytime, with Lattrua. How dangerous could it be? Wonder if there's some sort of ambush at the sweet shop since Lattrua tried to change the destination to some other place. |

They can be the same image per your choosing, but can also be two different images, and there's a different field of entry where you have to enter them each in separately in your account setup. I see that in the intervening time since this post you must have already figured it out as I see it displaying on your posts on the forum now, but for future reference for anyone else reading, if you click your username on the top of whichever page you're on on MAL and bring up the dropdown menu, select "Account Settings", and then select "Forum". Under the "Forum" section there is an option to "Upload an Avatar" and of course you can choose to utilize the same one as displayed on your profile page from the source or choose anything else. |

| The group of adventurers have a meeting and discuss how they can tell who is colluding with the enemy or involved in the evil faction. They come up with a magic item that can detect the good guys from bad guys based on a reaction in the item constituting a bad guy. During the talks Ivy reveals that it is her birthday and everyone at the meeting wishes her happy birthday. Ivy is introduced to the Guild Master, the Captain and the Vice captain. They reveal the method to discern the faction members from non faction members and the Guild Master gives the order to summon all their members. The news hasn't been revealed to Meela about her collusion so she acts as if everything is okay in the end when she tries to take Ivy away to a location. Lattrua stands up for Ivy and says that they should go together not just Meela and Ivy. Ivy brings in the two brothers and they insist on going together as a group of five, pretty obvious that they're trying to pull a kidnapping. So far this series is lacking some substance or depth, it progresses in linear order but doesn't have any plot significance at all. |
| Just when I said to keep the good vibes rolling, then the plot gets so damn intense lol, Ivy and Sora have become state secrets together, but really it’s good that Ivy is helping solve such a deep and wide spread problem, she’s the only one that can do it. And holy shit, you know Meela heard when Ivy told Lattrua about her being a girl, the target on her back just grew 10 sizes lol, next episode is probably gonna be an intense one. Also, happy birthday Ivy, the random drop that she turned 9 was funny and also wholesome how everyone dropped the serious talk to say happy birthday, but it also have Evangelion vibes and looks like I wasn’t the only one that felt that lol. |
