This Ibara guy is unhinged withi plans...seriously doing anything in his way to make his plans work.

Senku had his work cut out for him as he also had to deal with Mozu. But luckily, knowing Senku, he had a plan of his own. Not going to lie, I love the thrilling suspense of this episode as the stakes are higher than ever. Ibara is also no pushover this arc.

The fact that Senku and everyone could fool these island folks just with the sight of some firework blasting up in the sky kind of tells there was no need to build an army or something to fight these people in the first place, but then there are people like Mozu too, who do have brains along with brawn too. Dude literally cornered the entire science side on his own, to the point where they weren’t only left with no options but have to go back and revive a certain someone…

… Hyoga, like we all know, was a rebel till the last moment. But hey, they know they could only see tomorrow if they somehow live this day, so I mean reviving Hyoga was a logical choice in the end. Though he did have his own confusions and stand, but I mean siding with Senku and everyone was again the most logical choice here. He did fight for them against Mozu, but at the end of the day, guess Mozu’s really a bar above than the rest.

Ibara’s an absolute trash who only cares about his own ass, though since Kirisame has supported him this long without asking a counter question, that does make her an equal, even if she was oblivious till this point. I mean look what Ibara did, he literally took the petrification weapon, and in an attempt to petrify the entire island, even betrayed Kirisame like nothing lol.

Though good for You, he aimed it right when it mattered the most.

The destiny of the scientific future rests in the hands of Hyouga... It's truly the ultimate last resort.

Senku and his companions come to the realization that Kirisame's petrification device is a counterfeit, orchestrated by Ibara. Hastily, they race back to the laboratory in their car, only to discover that Ibara is on the verge of engulfing the entire island in petrifying rays. To thwart Ibara's plans, Senku and his companions board the Perseus, but to their surprise, Mozu, whose allegiance has been nullified, makes an unexpected appearance. Senku finds himself in a precarious situation as Mozu relentlessly attacks, prompting him to deploy his ultimate trump card to awaken the man himself, Hyouga.

Hyouga was successfully depetrified? Nice. Deep down, I had a strong desire to witness a showdown between Mozu and Hyoga. The situation was quite intense, and it's been a while since Gen felt that nervous. Nikki's amusing act of pretending to love Hyouga? Lmao. Fortunately, Hyouga ultimately sided with Senku and even unveiled his face, eliciting laughter. My favorite part was witnessing Senku effortlessly dodge the spear. Considering Hyouga's strong pro-eugenics stance, I'm curious about its potential impact on the team's dynamics. Despite his respect for them, Hyouga is a determined individual.

On a different note, I appreciate Nikki's uncorrupted purity, standing firm against Gen's attempts.

Moz is so strong! Even Hyoga can't contain him!
I like how the situation is getting better, there are still many unpredictable factors, but we begin to see the overall result of the outcome.

Magma with the gun, Senku and Co. pray that his musclebrain works.

The make-or-break device that has Magma hyped up, he's just a scatterbrain that thanks to Nikki, maages to save the shots, and refires some for some sorcery trickery. Of course, Moz would catch up to them, and they're basically out of options as both him and Ibara corner them...and it's left to their last-minute trump card: the release of their strongest man yet: Hyoga to combat on the same level as Moz. Hyoga's the game-changing joker to choose his side as Ibara worries about the statue being put back into one piece.

Ayeee, Gen wanting Nikki to be flirtatious with Hyoga, though to him, they at least are worth assets to him. And the one asset to debate is women, though Moz has his and Ryusui coutners his own, and Hyoga has made his decision to aid the Kingdom of Science. Now it's going back to the island, though Ibara has the upper hand with Kirisame and the petrification device...to be left to someone else, because the minions do not matter even if they activated it over the island, and Kirisame herself has been hookwinked against the will of Soyuz's father. And as if Ibara had won, Yo wielding the gun spliced through his hand, and by sheer chance, they got the Medusa.

Is this a win for the Kingdom of Science?

I guess the petrification device using English for control pretty much confirms that it's made by humans and it's not some alien thing.
It was satisfying to see Kirisame finally learn the truth, but she's petrified now. The Master was such a good person :(

yo has aquired the petrification beam, but the battle isnt over, ibara is the weakest hes ever been, he petrified his most loyal ally, hyoga is working with the kingdom of science, moz is working with ibara for now but he clearly wants ibara dead, yo is not strong so hes gonna have to quickly get to shore with the petrification weapon before moz finds out, he does have one bullet let in his gun and he has the petrification beam but i dont think he knows how to use it so he needs to get it in the hands of someone strong like taiju or kinro who can keep it away from moz or someone smart like senku or gen who can figure out how to use it

Ibara can’t be trusted by even his own people. Turning his own folks to stone. He serves no one but himself.

The English on the petrifaction devices I don’t believe was in the manga but kinda confirms that it’s man made. Very interesting

I just wanna know how moz got that strong on such a small island. Bro is built so different

Such a cool episode; the "sheriff" came through in the end and also the master is put back together. when he gets saved i see big things in the future. Medusa is secured and ibara is a horrible villain but it will all come to light. As of now i think things are going to be alright. Please save the girl that got petrified; I think her and moz will come around and be allies. Man, I hate Ibara so much though. What a bad dude. He deserves whatever is coming to him.

Despite Magma wasting bullet Kingdom of Science's tricks and power team strike fear into the Petrification Kingdom's men.
Unfortunately the strongest warrior Moz boards. There's a lot of risk in resorting to releasing the imprisoned believer of Eugenics that is Hyoga but he's the only one they think who can stop Moz now. Good on Nikki for staying true to her romantic ideals.
But reviving Hyoga made Ibara realise their abilities, so he had to act fast. Having Oarashi use the medusa at the center of the island is something Kirisame won't have, as she remembers what the master taught her.
Speaking of the Master, Yuzuriha, Soyuz and the others have brought the finished statue to the coast of the island to convince the islanders.
Ibara doesn't truly care for his people and petrifies her (he can set the range and time of the Medusa device using English voice commands. The chances of it being a human invention and not of alien origin are high).
Before he can use the Medusa again, the stone world's resident cop Yo shoots his hand from underwater and retrieves it successfully (so they built a waterproof gun, amazing).

In Kirisame's flashback, the Master and children were aware of what the Medusa could do, though he seems very benevolent and revered. Did he just use it to punish the worst criminals?

Damn. I didn't think Joker would be Hyoga. Almost forgot about him. But it's shocking that even he can't win against Moz.

Yo is the real MVP in this episode. His last-minute shot sent Medusa to the Kingdom of Science. Victory is near!

What an exciting episode. I can't wait for the next one! Hopefully, Ibara gets sentenced to death for being such a scumbag.

When circumstances are against you, sometimes it's expected to rely on a last resort, even if it is a wildcard situation. Senku and his group were in this position after Moz caught up and caused havoc, so he was able to revive Hyoga. Thankfully, Hyoga did side with Senku's group and his fight against Moz gave them time to escape. Even with his skills, we do see Moz unleashing his full strength and winning the fight against Hyoga.

Meanwhile, Ibara continues to showcase how much of a scumbag he is. Kirisame was able to catch up, but she wasn't happy with Ibara's orders. Sadly for her, Ibara activated the petrification weapon and she was caught up in the blast before being pushed into the sea.

Yo finally did something excellent and shot Ibara's hand in a well-timed move that also helped him acquire the Medusa weapon as well. Moz is still going to be a big threat, but for now, getting their hands on Medusa is a big gain for Senku's group. Hopefully things will continue to work out for them next time.

They decided to make a deal with the devil but even for Hyoga it seems that Mozu is on a whole other level, turns out that Kirisame wasn't just a puppet, unfortunately she was blindly following Ibara out of respect and admiration from the chief, I really hope they rescue her and she becomes an ally, I like a lot her design, she is way more cute than Amaryllis.

And out of nowhere You ended up being the hero.

Was kinda disappointed with Hyoga here, it was cool to finally see him come into play but it really just got them out of that specific moment, Hyoga got his ass immediately whooped by Moz lol, could be because he just got revived but it seemed like he could have been nerfed a bit. Rest of the episode was awesome tho, it was nice to see Yo get the gun back from Magma after his rampage, it did kinda work out but still a rough time lol,

And it’s also cool to see Ibara backpedaling finally, everything has kinda gone his way till now, but beginning with Kirisame’s betrayal and the reveal of the actual master to the masses we start to see him lose control of the situation, and then Yo got that shot off on Ibara’s hand which actually shot a hole through it, I was thinking it would just be like an airsoft kinda deal but it actually does serve as an actual gun lol, good job to Yo there too for getting the Madusa device, so now Ibara’s plan has really gone through the shitter. It’ll be interesting to see what he does next, and hopefully the kingdom of science finds Kirisame’s statue once this is all done because after seeing a smidge of her backstory I don’t want it to end for her like this, also she’s hot lol.

Senku forced to play a difficult card in Hyoga. With the gun idea not exactly going as planned the Kingdom of science must use other means to turn the tide of this battle. Mozu has completely abandoned any thought of cooperation and he knows exactly how their sorcery works now. Ibara right there recognizing how these invaders have come so far. Hyoga being the only real play left to try, a huge gamble considering he could've very easily turned on Senku. Hyoga took his time weighing his options, even asking Mozu his perspective on how the world should be run. Hyoga being wildly strong could sway things either way depending on what he picked. Thankfully choosing not to help the islanders and the kingdom of science instead. While he couldn't really do anything to Mozu besides delay him it still helped the recovery team reassemble the island master. Kirisame realized just too late how evil Ibara really is. Very interesting seeing how the medusa works having to tell it how wide the radius should be and how long for it to last. Yo with his sharp shooting helped the kingdom of science grab the thing they've wanted this whole time finally.

Though Moz is still very much a threat. Being a primeaval brute, he can even overpower Hyouga. Only Tsukasa probably can really overpower Moz.
But I guess they are now closer to better things. Especially as Ibara has been disarmed of the Medusa. They are now closer to resurrecting Tsukasa as well.

At last the useless police guy delivered, at the most critical moment too. Ibara is as rotten as it gets...

It's ironic that the handler of Medusa was herself petrified. I hope they revive her; her main crime was (extreme) gullibility.

The Master appears to have been benevolent, too bad he cannot be revived. But perhaps his son can become the new leader.

The activation of Medusa via distance and time commands was a surprise because we never heard Kirisame voice any commands. Was Ibara planning to have that guy plant Medusa in the middle of the island and voice-activate it with the diameter of the isle and a certain time?
But he told him it was a jewel. Would he have him, er, speak to the "jewel" for... reasons?
