That time of the year...Valentine's. They saved this episode until quite late in the show but better late than never.

Hori is expecting chocolate but her mind is kinda all over the place. I still enjoying seeing her and Miyamura together even though it felt slightly repetitive at this point. He fed those sweets to her like a child lol

Ah a Valentine's episode eh?

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, Hori, who is set to receive chocolates from Miyamura, the son of a cake shop owner, ends up being called cold by Remi. Sawada, who was looking forward to giving chocolates to Hori, is approached by a female classmate with the request of wanting to know what chocolates a certain third-year likes. Lo and behold it's none other than Iura! Meanwhile Hori tries to bake some chocolatey goodies for Miyamaru with Sakura.

Miyamura's attempt to tie a ribbon using Ishikawa's tie was absolutely hilarious. Iura's anticipation of receiving chocolates from Sawada, only to face rejection, provided another comical moment. However, in my view, the reactions were a tad underwhelming. Personally, I would have appreciated a more "romantic" response from Miyamura or Kyoko, such as holding hands or sharing a kiss. I also find this less assertive side of Hori much more reminiscent of how she was at the start of the show.

Still can't believe it's been eleven weeks, but oh well two episodes left!

Nothing really against Sawada, but quite honestly I never understood her charm. Though she being the basic she is, and moreover valentine day being a monumental event in anime medium, it goes without saying that anyone could picture her making/buying chocolates and all for her beloved Hori. Good for her, but hey don’t just assume for yourself that there couldn’t be a girl who would give Iura chocolates:(

He a good guy, I don’t know why they treat him as a lost cause lol. Anyways, atleast Sawada made a friend sort of in her own year, courtesy of valentine. By the way, the usual affair of messing up big time while making chocolates but still succeeding either way and gifting them aside, I kind of felt for Sakura there. Like ever, she couldn’t be honest with herself and in turn couldn’t give Ishikawa the chocolates on her own.

Though she wasn’t the only one who had this same, that girl who wanted to gift Iura couldn’t as well. I mean it's understandable, being honest with yourself and mustering up the courage isn't an easy task.

Is laughing at the part right after Iura got rejected by Sawada cruel because it was really funny?
And in the end he didn't get his chocolate either.
Hori being worried about the taste of her sweets was nice to watch and it worked out in the end.

Not too sweet would be perfect for me tbh. Can you make this with dark chocolate?
Scene after credits! It was kind of sad but also wholesome.

Sawada dive bombing Miyamura by appearing out of the blue lol. Though it was nice seeing Sawada getting asked by her classmates for advice as a result of her arc being completed. Using a tie to practice tying a ribbon though was neat. It was nice for Hori to get feedback of her chocs from her family. Rare also for her whole family to be present to help her. In the end im glad that Hori and Miyamura were able to have a enjoyable valentines.

The struggles of what to do for Valentine's day. Very cute seeing both Hori and Miyamura worry about what they should get the other. Sawada messing with Miyamura as he tries to think it through. Sawada and Miyamura already kinda look like brother and sister so scenes with them together are cute. Sawada as the rebellious little sister that loves her brother's girlfriend more than him, it fits so well. Hori at the end of the episode seeing what Miyamura did for her and being appalled at her own efforts. Special occasions like that you really should make something homemade, but I think too that Miyamura just wanted to spend time with Hori as always. Valentine's day is in the air for all as not only our main couple struggles with what to do. Yuki seeing Sakura struggles more up close with whom Toru chose between them. Sawada classmate wanting to confess to Iura blew my mind honestly. Sawada was equally shocked considering its Iura, who would like that slacker. But this girl really wanted to say something to him unfortunately she didn't. Sawada trying to cheer her up was nice.

Sawada’s interactions with miyamura is so brother sister despite not being blood related and seeing her being with a student her age is kinda nice

Seeing everyone’s reaction with their valentines is funny and sweet (no pun intended)

A very nice Valentine’s Day episode, and it had some Sawada focus which automatically made me like it even if Miyamura and Hori didn’t have their own excellent bit to make it even better. And we met yet another character we never met in the main show, being Sawada’s classmate because I don’t think we got her name, I liked her little story a lot, it’s a shame she never got to give Iura her chocolate but we did get that very nice final scene where Sawada made her feel better, and giving how Sawada hasn’t really had friends in her own grade until now made me really appreciate that scene.

And of course Hori and Miyamura had a great chocolate exchange bit, Hori trying to get opinions on her chocolate was hilarious and sweet with Sakura’s input on the matter, and the exchange itself was very wholesome, Miyamura’s cake looked delicious and based on the way Hori’s chocolate was described I’m sure I’d like it as well.

That time of year once again, Valentine's day. WHY.. WHY MUST THIS BE SO SWEET OF AN EPISODE.. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

I forgot that Sawada and Miyamura are next door neighbors and she just so happens to invade his apartment to poke at Miyamura for what color ribbon she should get for Hori haha. Might be me only but I've always liked the dynamic between Sawada, Hori, and Miyamura. It reminds me of a sort of mini family, or like what others have said, a brother-sister/sister-sister sort of thing. Maybe I worded that weird but you get what I mean, right? I quite like the focus on Sawada for a portion of the episode with the section where a classmate of her’s asks for help to give Iura chocolate out of respect, which came as both a shock and a surprise because halleujah has Iura finally received a chance to get chocolates.. unfortunately Sawada sorta toyed with him, leaving him confused and in a stream of tears.

The entire bit of Hori struggling on what to make for Miyamura and worrying that he won’t like it was funny, especially everyone giving her vague responses after trying her ganache cubes. Seeing everyone exchange chocolates made me feel so happy, if only Valentine’s day was ever this wholesome in real life. Love the reaction the two had when they tried out each other’s chocolate and how they were both happy with what they received. The after credits scene though and the friendship chocolate.. T_T

Two more episodes, two more weeks.. what a wholesome journey we’ve on since the first episode. Let’s look forward to those last two!
Enjoy your weekend :D

Considering how easily this show creates couples, I'm still surprised that neither Iura nor Sawada ever got partners. I'm not talking about them together, but at least each of them separately. We even got a chapter where they are "connected" through one character, but nope. Also, Sawada asking her love interest's literal boyfriend for advice was a strange, but somehow surprisingly logical idea.

@Softhenic03 I think that Iura is the type of person who never knows how to read the atmosphere and is too stupid even by the standards of a teenage boy in high school. Perhaps in real life the attitude towards him would be even harsher.

a valentine's episode in september is certainly odd but was still cute nonetheless. some nice stuff with hori and miya alone. and miyamura helping out sawada. iura finally getting some attention for a girl tho lol but such a shame, he didn't even recieve the chocolate after all. give my boy iura the treatment he deserves.

Poor Iura. He got burned almost every episode this season. From figurine girlfriends and getting liked by your sis's boyfriend to getting burned by Sawada, he got em all.

The illlusive Valentine's moment, and Sawada is just hemmoraging Miyamura on Hori's likes and dislikes.

Remi asking Hori if she's going to give him a cake, she knows that it'll fail because of how well his cooking will be. But on the topic of the wrapper, Miyamura can't let Hori know about it, and one of Sawada's same-grade friends have a crush on Iura, and if he would like chocolate...that's when Sawada just told him upright in the presence of Miyamura and Ishikawa.

D-Day has arrived, and everyone is bred in anticipation...except Hori, who still can't decide about what to give to Miyamura. Sakura recommending a recipe book, which Hori takes time sto perfect her chocolate dessert, it has divided opinions, but generally it's nice, and that's what matters most. But Miyamura deciding to leave the best for the last for Hori, it's a given. While Sawada managed to get the ribbon colour just nice, Yoshikawa has her chocolate smelling funny, and Sakura made for both Ishikawa and herself, which is saying a lot. Sure enough, Miyamura made Hori a cake, but couldn't figure out how to wrap it, and the same is said for the latter to the former.

Hori needn't worry so much about how her chocolate will come out, Miyamura would be happy either way.
But welp, Sawada's friend doesn't have the courage to give to Iura, so the chocolate goes to Sawada instead, while she receives friendship chocolate.

Flutter feelings.
