| If you don't want to know what happens yet, don't read, it is an Episode Discussion thread. Do not ask where to find the episode, episode will air in October 2023. We could just enjoy the premiere. We get to hear some information from the locals and heard a work tool box got stolen. Ofcourse we want to know if there are goblins because anything else, we do not care about. Good news, there should be some goblins! Boy still thinks it is all stupid and they should go and hunt them right away, which we luckily do not. This is not the typical hide-out but a different thing where parents tell children not to enter or come near because of the goblins. We enter, kill some goblins because that is what we do. Boy wants to cast magic, another bad idea and our Elf is closing the doors including putting door stoppers! Genius. After a bit, a door was found with in the top-left a wick of an oil lamp. Missing work tool box + wick of an oil lamp? Suspicious! We should not open that door because that is definitely a tra- AND THE BOY is getting impatient because they're just mere goblins and opens the door. Hello blood everywhere, he screams which makes the trap complete as every goblin hears it! We hear the scream of a woman and boy runs right at it, on his own, leaving the team behind. Woman is being tortured and more possibly happened because that's what goblins do. He wants to free her, uses magic, and now we get a troll! Troll big and strong. Team saves him, we use holy light of Priestess to escape and kill the troll. Goblin Slayer and Elf were a bit later and seemingly troll isn't dead yet. They use a mix of stuff to kill him and troll dead, 'saving' the woman. They back, they party, we finally get to know who boy is because his obsession comes due to his sister being tortured and killed by goblins. The sister was.... yes, Wizard of Season 1, Episode 1. Goblin Slayer hand twitches realizing that, leaving and takes of helm. |

| The root of the show at full force, with goblin slaying! Honestly, I'm just glad Priestess is getting some spotlight. She can got promoted but I think she still has a lot to learn. It looks like the show has its psychological elements again similar to the previous season. Feels like the old days again. I'm sure we'll be getting similar cases like this episode again in the future, or at least in nature. |

| Even though it's been five years, there's a certain intuition that kicks in when you see a party bravely battling goblins with smiles on their faces - you just know it'll conclude in exactly the same fashion. Goblin Slayer and his party take on quests to slay goblins that show up near the rookie adventurer training ground that is still in the middle of construction. To win her promotion, Priestess was appointed the leader of the party. However, she's having issues dealing with the Wizard Boy who joined them. Amid such an uneasy atmosphere, they encounter unexpected trouble when going into the mausoleum where the goblins are hiding. This young lad is incredibly fortunate to be backed by an outstanding team that bails him out of the messes resulting from his lack of experience, impatience, and idealistic notions of justice and virtue. This, when coupled with his (admittedly somewhat justified) burning fury and intense disdain for goblins, makes for a precarious mix. It's cute how Goblin Slayer bares his concern for best girl, going to great lengths to protect her, even if it means jeopardizing her own career. It's no surprise he's become a folk hero, championing the defenseless against the encroaching goblin threat that most overlook. This kid lacks the true guts needed to embark on an adventurer's journey. His overconfidence, thinking he's strong, and tendency to underestimate his adversaries are just a few of the reasons why. He's on the verge of discovering the harsh reality of what it truly means to be an adventurer, that's for certain. |

| Guess I didn't notice last week, but there's a party we don't know in the OP and a samurai-looking guy transitions into Goblin Slayer. Are we gonna get more of his backstory or is it someone else entirely? Interesting. OH GOD THE MAGE GIRL FROM EPISODE 1 IS HIS SISTER Now that I look at him, he does really look like her. Imagine how awful GS and Priestess must feel. Good episode. Next episode is called "The Training Grounds on the Outskirts of Town". I remember from season 1 that there were plants to make training facilities for newbie adventurers where retired ones would teach. Maybe this will be it. |

| So he was related to the unfortunate mage after all. and Goblin Slayer has emotions. The brat will probably have learned a few things from this, it's sad to see that Goblins are still underestimated but things take time to change hopefully that will result in less victims. For now priest still feeling insecure about things is also a bit of a thing but at least she isn't overconfident. |

| Rookie parties always think that gobs are nothing they can't handle to their cost. Nice to see Priestess being given the chance to take the lead this time. Watching the reaction of the wizard brat as GS and party analysed and formulated their plan was fun. And their advance into the nest slowly but surely was the best approach. I guess we can thank wizard brat from springing the trap and acting as the unintentional bait. Despite some hiccups the op sure turned out quite well. Wizard brats motivation turned out to be more personal than i thought. But sorry to say that even if her sister hadn't been ambushed she still most likely would have died before GS showed up. |

| Nice to see that the OST is as awesome as season 1 was. This episode continues adapting from where the last episode left of, but it seems we will also see some of the side-story light novels being adapted based on the OP. |

| OMG that was heartbreaking; but we got to see a little of goblin slayer breaking down. he didn't want to ruin the mood so he simply left. but someone needs to help him he can't just keep hiding it. |

| That was a bit disappointing. Not just the nudity but even the gore got censored. I thought this season would be better than the first. |

| Together with the red-haired wizard rookie, Priestess claims control as the party's leader to assimilate information about goblins and their hideout to go and kill somemore, which would give him valuable experience, and as a party together to get the carpentry items back. But the wizard got too enthusiastic and did not calculate properly that he was surrounded by hobgoblins and a boss troll while saving the acolyte. Together, Priestess and the rest make their escape with the trapped woman on the chair while Goblin Slayer and High Elf Archer tackle the troll, as well as its remnants to celebrate yet another feast. But the wizard is in no mood to celebrate, because his sister was killed by goblins (the mage girl that went on an expedition in Season 1 Ep 1), and that triggered Goblin Slayer's mentality crisis. Still good, though questionable. |

| Well this show keeps hitting it but I do feel the Goblins are starting to run their course. I hope they really mix it up for us this season. |

| So the Red-Haired Wizard boy is the younger brother of the Wizard girl in the Priest Girl's old party that was raped and killed by goblins in Season 1. I know the Wizard Boy is kind of annoying right now with the way he charged ahead setting off the trap and getting surrounded by goblins. At the same time I understand the boy's frustration with being eager to kill some goblins so the his classmates at the magic academy would stop bullying him and disrespecting his beloved sister. Now Goblin Slayer is blaming himself for not clearing that nest of goblins fast enough for the Priest Girl's old party to survive. |

| That kid is so damn insufferable. I hope there's no point where he ends up doing something that saves or awes the party. I hope he just stays average. I feel bad for him because of his sister, but the way he's taking it is gonna get a lot more people killed. |

| This episode felt a lot like the earlier episodes of Season 1, simply going in and killing goblins with some tactics you’d only see used by the Goblin Slayer, the troll was a surprise but it’s not the first time we’ve seen the goblins working with a superior monster, the use of some of the classic ost was awesome here as well, so good. And of course the wizard lad fucked around and found out that goblins aren’t to be underestimated, sadly tho he’s still pretty arrogant by the end of the episode, I wonder when he’ll truly clean up his act. And I called it last week since he has such a close resemblance, but the wizard lad is in fact related to the mage girl from Season 1 who the priestess was originally in a party with, it was pretty easy to notice so I don’t think I’m that cool for calling it tho lol. The reveal of this info put the Goblin Slayer in a bad spot tho, I’m surprised it messed with him that much actually, but I’m looking forward to seeing how he deals with the situation going forward, hopefully he doesn’t enter a depression arc. |

| Why is Slayer in angst mode, if I remember right the kid's sister literally asked him to kill her since she was poisoned way before they found her. |
| Just a thought,but wouldn't it be cool if Goblin Slayer has some sort of mental episode from this and mistakes the kid for a goblin? Just thinking out loud is all :) |
