I wonder if it's bad luck or something but seems like Nasu and Tonikawa ran into problems with electronics again, this time invovling a remote control.

However, it also sets the couple up to meet more people and going out to experience more of what life has to offer. Another adorable episode but I do hope their luck improves. They ran into electronic problems already this season with their air consider before.

Though I don't remember the flashbacks appearing this early in the manga, they must be skipping quite a lot of stuff...

Looks like the good part might be coming, I'm not a manga reader, but I've heard good things about the flashbacks. Hopefully we get some more backstory soon.

I didn't really get why Yanagi is so distraught about her marriage, but I'd wish her well. It's never too late to get married. And not getting married sooner means you'll regret it more later.

God, I love Tokiko. She just showed up unannounced and made arrangements for the main cast to go camping.

Tokiko is a coder?! I need a granny like her irl...

Hmm one that lived through ww2 huh. Tsukasa pouting at the remote prob really was cute. Looks like she is't that good with tech. Yanagi getting married though was a pleasant surprise. Still her worries sure were rather curious ones. Well considering how hard it is to refuse seconds from Tsukasa no wonder his weight increased. The Ohagi back then really was a godsend.

Probably the most substantive episode we’ve got in a long time. Pretty much confirmed that there’s something supernatural about Tsukasa. At first I thought I thought tokiko was the one who found a young Tsukasa, but the ending reveal made their relationship even sweeter because tokiko probably grew up looking up to Tsukasa and even wanted to do her hair like her.

Hopefully the camping trip will give us a chance to see more of their backstory.

Yowza, backstory revealed, tho it’s been obvious since the first season that Tsukasa is much older than she appears. I will say tho, what I wasn’t expecting was for Tsukasa to be the older one in that flashback, that was a cool reveal and explains her relationship with Tokiko. And that was what I think was the World War 2 fire bombings, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t one of the atomic bombs because I don’t think Tokiko would be here today lol, and I saw a comment saying it could also be the Great Kanto Earthquake, lots of possibilities lol, so I’ll mention as a history enjoyer I did really like that scene.

Plot aside, I really loved the goofy bits in this episode, we had Tsukasa being slow with technology, Yanagi Sensei’s return and her conversion into a red ginger enjoyer, and lastly Nasa gaining some weight and trying desperately to work it off lol, this episode went all sorts of places.

with this backstory, which I assume was set during the Great Kanto Earthquake (1923), Tsukasa is is an older immortal than I expected her to be.

Lots of focus on eating foods this episode. Ms Yanagi coming by again to talk to Nasa and Tsukasa. This time about her fiance eating habits. Definitely some weird tale about him adding a bunch of ginger to his noodles, it tasting bad but him unable to eat the noodles any other way now. Its kind of odd really, I don't think there any kind of food that I don't like the taste of but still eat it. Except for something really sour or really spicy but those still taste good to me. So I'm not sure how Mr Taniguchi could eat his noodles that way and now even MS Yanagi is eating that same way. I'm with Tsukasa about being super confused as to what the big deal is. Nasa wanted a lot of hugs from his wife this episode, very cute to see them being more comfortable and affectionate. Him worrying about gaining weight even as Tsukasa encourages his fluffy tummy made me laugh. Nasa had a hard time realizing staying in shape isn't easy. But I'm sure he can come to enjoy his physique..

Yanagi confessed to putting a lot of ginger in her meat rice with the guilt of as if she had been having 10 lovers at the same time that she was going to marry her fiancé jsjs. By the way, they finally show us directly that Tsukasa was the one who spoke to Tokiko when she was little, although 99% of us who commented already took it for granted, now it's confirmed xd

They've adapted chapter 87,90,91,92 this episode if you want to read from camping part then start with chapter 96.

Personally I'd recommend reading from first chapter since they've skipped a lot of fun parts

That would make Tokiko over a 100 years old. I'm pretty sure it's WWII they're referencing. Unless it is the Kanto Earthquake and she really is over a hundred. Which is like... damn. She genki.

I had thought of that too. Seen a few shows recently which involve the earthquake.

But then again about Tokiko's age, look at Tsukasa :P

The opener with Tsukasa conversing with young Tokiko, the immortality is beginning to show a bit more prominently.

A broken remote control that only is not working because of dead batteries, and a phone that fills in passwords like the auto-complete function, it's better to teach her sooner than later, because Tokiko was the one who handled all her stuff. The "happy wife, happy life" predicament of sucking up to Tsukasa is better though since Nasa is reliable, and all he wants is just a hug from her. Yanagi-sensei coming in with her own wedding with Taniguchi-sensei, and asking the married couple about marriage, but Nasa is probably not the right person to ask about this kind of thing. The beef gyudon dates where she learn more of him actng in the most unkempt of experiences, and she crossed the line with him on the edge of bad tastebuds lols. Well, honesty is the best policy, but after the talk, hopefully they can find happiness.

The thing is, Nasa is having fun with Tsukasa a lot, he's beginning to gain a lot more weight, while Tsukasa didn't grow a lot. It's Nasa's mistake to own, and him going exercising and running 10km...is more than what he can muster with his strength all lost. And having somen at home, Tokiko drops in uninvited and wants to camp outside at night, the ultimate relaxation.

Camping trip...ahh, this is the moment for manga readers...

The flashback into Tokiko's past was very intriguing. Not sure what decade it was set in, but either way, she was given a gift by someone who looked exactly like Tsukasa. It could actually be her or not, but I'll let the next few episodes answer that for me.

Either way, the rest of the episode itself was good fun. Tsukasa struggling to deal with the technology that we take for granted today was rather cute, but things got rather heated when Yanagi visited to vent her worries about beef bowl with pickled ginger added on top. I'm glad that I watched this episode before lunchtime, as I'm VERY hungry as I type this post right now! XD

Tokiko mentioning about wanting to go camping and convincing Nasa and Tsukasa into joining her had me think heavily of Yuru Camp and since I love that series, I highly look forward to the camping trip next time!

damn I didn't expect that flashback on this episode!
even though I don't think that we'll see Tsukasa's past in this season, there's like ~35 chapters to get there and I don't think that they will skip that much.
But on the next episodes we'll probably see some Nasa's flashbacks of that winter night...

Well this makes things extremely sad for the couple. Our boy will have to find a way to become immortal too, or Tsukasa will have to become mortal instead.
