Well that was kinda interesting. We finally get to find out more about Asako, a prominent character from Yuuji's past and the training she gave to him. Quite a lot of classic stuff, bear attacks and all.

Quite a nice feel in this episode between Asako and Yuuji.
EDs is quite good and show a bit on Yuuji when he was doing some military mission and very sad about Bear incident.
I knew it 20 minutes would be just too short.
I guess they normally will keep it as 12 or 13 episodes.

I like the episode. Gonna hope they don't destroy Rakuen like they did to Kajitsu >__>

8bit surprised me yet again with so how well-paced this episode was.

They still haven't finished Meikyuu yet, but it will be next episode.

But now I'm worried for Rauken because it will only has 10-11 episodes to adapt a 20-30 hour VN.

Meikyuu was a well-done adaption. Rauken is now what I'm worrying about.

This was a really nice episode.

Poor John :/ It really was quite the nice scene, though. John in a way teaching what it means to love, and when Yuuji saw the cubs, he couldn't bring himself to take about that love.

Asako was quite cool at the end too, to being in the instillation thing and also regarding the taxpayer subject. It really is inspiring to think that their boss is not the government, but the people.

I'm realy liking this anime.
Poor John though, this was well worth the wait for it.

Once It's all said and done, I'm going to mess around the the VN. This is high up on my fav list that's for sure.

Quite a great episode, as much as i don't hate kaijutsu, i have to admit that so far meikyuu and this have been handled better than it.

I have to say that I'm impressed with the way that this first ep built on from the special so well. I know we saw all his scars at the start of the first series, but seeing them again on him when he was so young was really shocking. And that incident with the bear was quite depressing as well. I'm also glad to see that things left unexplained in the first series are starting to be explained now.

Here's to hoping that this can go on as well as it has started.

Amazing continuation to the special last week. Asako really drilled in her 'suggestions' into Yuuji to make him human again. That bear part was really sad. Yuuji had to go through yet another tough decision in his life. Poor John though. Can't wait to see how the flashback ends.

Not bad 8bit not bad at all. I haven't played the VNs for Rakuen but I really loved this ep a lot. Yuuji's past was always the thing I was most interested in anyway so really loving this.

Julia was really worried about Yuuji huh :3 I didn't realize how much she looked after him too ^^ The way she reacted to Yuuji asking for help was so cute <3 Dat blush <3<3

Dat Deer penis tho XD Julia's reaction was so lol XD

Asako is quite a lot of fun XD Really liking her. That's quite a way to raise a child. Speed, Strength and Knowledge. No wonder Yuuji's such a person ^^

The fight with the bear was quite something. Yuuji's killer machine mode is always BA to see :P

Man,does this series has something against dogs? John had the death flag on him the first moment he appeared but it bugs me how horrible dogs have to die here.

JB is such a cutie tho.

If they manage to stay faithful all the way to the end, then just imagine the anime except with incredible amounts of sex in it and you basically have what Rakuen looks like as a VN :s

Really happy to see that we're getting to see Yuuji's past with Asako, I love the dynamic that he has with her and JB :'')

The thing with the bear was really sad and I wanted to cry when I saw how he was powerless to stop his dog from dying...I really grew fond of that sweet little dog TwT

Overall this was a fantastic episode and I can't wait to see more...Asako is a very wise woman and I wouldn't mind living with her myself :)

I always expected 10-11, so it should be fine.

Rakuen is very hollywoodish and has fast pace action scenes. Its way easier to adapt it, than Kajitsu would be with twice the episodes.

Yeah had the same assumption about the staff last week lol
We can only hope, but it should be fine if it continues this way.

No pissin' fetish yet! We didnt even see awful Asako fanservice at all :o

Lets just forget Kajitsu adaption asap xD

With this, Meikyuu just about comes to an end. Chances are it'll end with the next episode, with the adaptation of Rakuen to follow-up.

Great execution though, 8-bit is really amazing me.

They should really change the synopsis for Rakuen here on MAL btw, because it totally spoils the ending of Meikyuu, but since not all of Meikyuu was adapted in that entry then it's still spoiling people on stuff that hasn't come out yet before we get to episode 3 of this anime :s

It felt a bit rushed at the start but it calmed down at the end.

Aside from that the episode was pretty amazing, I feel like this will be a much better adaptation then Kajitsu.

The first episode of Kajitsu was great as well, but I have high hopes on Rakuen nonetheless. Solid pacing - check. All important characters are back - check. Detailed insight into Yuuji's past - check. Funny and nasty/ gruesome scenes - doublecheck. More please!

Good episode, but without much action, but gives to realize that this season will be more sentimental than the last, also I did not like Yuuji with a weak personality after becoming a murderer, well, I expect a little more action and Yuuji showing their force next episode ..

Yuuji's backstory is a lot more complicated than the other routes we've seen. I'm actually enjoying watching this now. It's probably due to the better pacing compared to the first season.

Yuuji's backstory is really interesting. I thought this would be a one-hour single episode too but the episode length is halved and there's a next episode. I can't wait to see it. Asako was a really awesome mentor/master for Yuuji. :3
