| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Another intense episode. Leon just doesn't get a break dealing with these Horrors, doesn't he? At any rate, I thought the episode was delivered well both action and mystery wise. Oh that poor woman and her child ;_; Seriously though, that is one freaking ugly Horror. Leon's got a destiny to fulfill along with Alfonse. |

| Good character establishment episode. Art/Animation: Animation was surprisingly very fluid even without the CG, really enjoyed the fight choreography. I also loved the design of that freaky horror, whoever is the designer of those, give that man an award, so freaking metal. Music: Some atmospheric pieces, though I did think that one song in the middle was just a touch too loud and overshadowed what they were talking about, not enough to make it stop being understandable but just a bit distracting. Story+Characters: So, Rafael was a partner of the former Garo, his defense and messenger of sorts. What a total beast, seriously, when he dropped his sword and it stuck into the ground, that was like a medieval mic drop. Hilariously badass. So Alfonso is... German's step-nephew? Which makes Alfonso and Leon cousins. Is Alfonso able to use Garo as well? Maybe a different set of armor? Wonder how this is going to work. We get to see how determined Alfonso is as well... Unfortunately he doesn't seem like he has too much room for development but I am interested to see if they can take him in an interesting direction. There is room for growth but so far it's only shown to be room for physical growth, not mental. Hope they take the interesting route rather than the cliche route. Mendoza... hope he gets more focus, I want to see why he is doing all this, besides the obvious, "I want to rule the kingdom" stuff. lol Overall, this was mostly a character establishment episode. We got to see the determination Alfonso has to save his country and were somewhat foreshadowed... something having to do with Leon and his grandfather... Not sure what though. All in all, solid episode and again, that fight choreography was fantastic, always nice to see good old sword against sword fighting. |
| Really nice revelation ep. Liking Alphonso's personality quite a lot. Kid's got potential to be a BA! And he's a humble royalty with is rare these days ^^; Liking Rafael too. The revelation about him having the bloodline of the Golden Knight and being Leon's cousin was nice too. Good stuff :3 And his new found resolve is cool. Rafael seems BA though with how he carries a sword that heavy :O Interesting to know that he has to sacrifice a day out of his life every new moon :O Sucks quite a bit XD |

| That was quite interesting with Leon and Alfonso being cousins as their mothers were sisters! Rafael's sword being that heavy and he is going to teach Alfonso! The way he defeated the horror! Losing a day every month. Perhaps he will wake up one day in a dramatic situation! |

| Well, that's cruel - Esmeralda watched her sister brutally die without knowing anything. I also wonder if Leon and Alfonso would meet and if Alfonso could get a makai armor nevertheless. Rafaelo is strong :) German likes teasing Leon and hasn't given up on getting his son laid ^^ |

| Wow that was some seriously effed up looking horror. Poor woman. I dont think she'll sleep for weeks. More of a story/ character episode. I cant wait to see what this show has in store. |

| That Horror was truly a horror to look at, lol. Well after the sword in the ground scene i guess Alfonso's training will start with lifting weights. -Resident- said: Meanwhile, Léon wakes up in a very comfy position. He really needs to thank Gérman for that. Little shit doesn't know how to appreciate his awesome father.^_^ |
| Nice episode. Alfonso should get an armor of his own if he wants to fight real horrors. That Gaia armor looks sweet. The previous Garo armor looks more awesome in my opinion. A general look suits it well. Unlike the current armor which looks not really effective against tough enemies. |

| This episode was really interesting and it looks like the prince had the knights blood in him as well. |
| Another solid episode. Every new character is just as likable as the next. |
| The episode approached the protagonists quickly, the two are cousins and not know each other, the two could be Garo, but as Leon already is Garo, I think the prince will inherit the armor of Raphael I want to see how it will be their meeting the two and how to will face against the villain of the story .. |

| I love this series, it deserves a far higher rating than it has. No doubt it is suffering with the company of other series that are getting more hype/coverage. Artstyle is superb and different, music is old school vibe, characters are likeable and the story is well paced. |

| Great episode, surprised what happened to Leon at the start. I think in the end Alfonso will somehow end up with the Knight of Light Gaia armor. |

| 5/5 In this fifth episode, the anime goes into my list of favorites for this fall season 2014. The plot is interesting and has proved willing to show the events so far, and the story line is engaging, I never came a yawn. Cast & Characters were increasingly charismatic and very tough. Then today the soundtrack of the music brought all different but well mixed context, I loved them. The designs and animations have shown defects. The fighting has attracted my attention and have been shown to have good choreography. I hope in the future there are other interesting characters and the story does not get lost in the cliche. |

| Some groundbreaking revelations in this episode.. So, since Alphonse older than Leon, he is the older brother to him whereas Esmeralda is the younger sister to Anna.. Hmm.. Esmeralda did not even know that Anna was the one who was burnt alive.. probably even Mendoza didn't know of it until Octavia mentioned about that amulet. Sad shit.. Wondering what Esmeralda's reaction would be when she learns about her family lineage.. Hope no conflict arises between Leon an Alphonse when it comes to the Golden Knight issue.. |
| The blood is in the prince as well. So if Anna had Garo, what was the point of having another kid? Seems like the plot can easily get by without the Esmeralda side of things. But hey, Makai Knight prince will save all the "witches" from their current situation in the end...I guess. |

| So Alfonso and Leon are family after all, I thought they were brothers at first. The episode was a good change of pace to focus on Rafael and Alfonso. I mean, we got an insight of Alfonso's origin and past. Let the training begin. |
