Why not just give it a try and see if it's something worth watching like I'm doing?
This series doesn't have a comedy genre but feels like there is some considering the plot etc.
Will drop it though if I lose interest, which you should do as well, if you lose interest.

@Azuchi I don’t have much time cause of work, so if I have to give a try to each anime of this season to see which is worth, its not possible for me. If i start an anime, I gotta be sure it's something I will actually finish.

@Xypheron Understandable, however, everyone's taste is different. They might like it but not you when you watch it.
I myself don't have time to watch much but I'd rather lose sleep and social life than possibly skip a good anime :)
I recommend sticking to your favorite genres, check the plot and do a little bit of research instead of hoping it might be good just because someone said it.

lol. even funnier thing is people can just look at ratings and decide for themselves if it's worth it for them but they've to ask obvious questions

@Prfpnd_179 Ratings is hardly a good source to judge a series on. Unless people universally rate something above a 9 or below 2, the ratings could be all over the board and if there are some that rate it a 4 but others rate it like 7 or 8, guess what? The average ratings will be in the middle. The OP is just asking those who have read the manga for a little more input than just a rating score. And people are calling the OP lazy for not wanting to watch a 24 minute first episode? Y'all being lazy for saying "just look at the rating" How long does it take for one to just write a line saying why they liked it or didn't like it?

I loved the manga but was disappointed when I saw the studio animating this. The tale of outcasts was bad, in another world with my smartphone sucks, but I don't know if the reason is the story or the studio (I would bet its the studio). Personally I am going to watch this regardless because I am a big fan of the manga but am keeping expectations low because of the studio.

Sorry I can't give u a straight answer but I wont know if it's worth it until I know. If you don't wanna risk wasting the time on the show, I would recommend the manga.

seinen + romance + manga score > 7.5 = W
If you reply back to me and I never respond, I lost interest and don't care. Sorry about that.

If you're a romance fan, I would definitely recommend that you give it a try. It's very heartwarming and sweet. I also found it very funny, particularly when they lean into the introvert MCs weird personality quirks ("I love maps!").
When reading the Manga, I felt like it was something that was sure to get a live-action adaptation - it already had (on Amazon Prime, so no one saw it).

In the time it takes to make a post and wait for feedback he could’ve been watched the episode. It’s really not that deep. If you have time to make a post on here asking if it’s good you have time to watch the ep.

I've read the manga ages ago, I'd say it's OK, but maybe anime won't adapt enough material for the plot to get going.

@MonX94 Considering the manga is long finished, if they don't adapt it all it would be bad...

Anyway from the pacing of 1st ep, they may very well adapt it all...

The manga is quite enjoyable and stands out from typical romance stories. If adapted well, this could be a one of the better ones to watch this season.

People are not calling OP lazy. someone just said that 24 minutes a week is not that much of a time commitment if you're even a little bit interested in an office romance anime.

The manga has its strengths, especially for readers that can appreciate character with thorough intricacies of being genuine introverts.

The anime? So far it looks dog shit ngl

some dog shit replies here holy. a man busy with work can't even ask a question without being laughed at. i've seen plenty of good manga made into mid anime, with poor animation and pacing. it's a valid question, just answer it or leave it.

Lol don't waste your time it is garbage.

It has completely unrealistic characters and motivations in a realistic setting. Most of the story is filler. The loser bland mc romance is trash.

As someone who likes the manga, I think reading the manga is the way to go. The adaptation is like Insomniac after school or Blue Box : cliché and boring direction, subpar animation, intrusive music and voice acting without personality. We're very, very far from the adaptation quality of Too Many Loosing Heroins, Apothecary Diaries or Heavenly Delusion.

Think the manga's good, but the anime's been very flat and underwhelming so far in how everything is presented and executed. Pretty disappointed in it so far admittedly.

@Prfpnd_179 Rent a girlfriend has a higher rating as compared to Shikimori or Kyokou suiri... now it's yours to decide

Excuse YOU, TWGOK is a top-tier fantasy/supernatural harem with an all star cast, banger soundtrack, with character designs by the dude who worked on the Monogatari series, and animated by a reputable studio that did Samurai Champloo and Ergo Proxy (defunct in 2015, sadly) also it's 2010 but whatever, I wish someone'd put me back into 2007, God that was a good year

They did fumble season 3 by skipping like a third of the story though, but the manga is still great

Back on-topic (kind of): there was also a live action TV adaptation in 2002 titled Map For The Wedding, it's 10 episodes and it's on Amazon. Haven't watched it yet (I'm not paying for Prime, eww) but I've heard good things.

As for ep 3 I am now worried.

New answer to the question is, if they pick up the pace and adapt it all, hell yes it is worth.
If they gonna half adapt this hell nah.

I'll update this in 3-4 eps or when they adapt chapter 38 (as of now they adapted 15 chapters in 3 eps, out of 110)

Not really tbh, I expected sth great to come out of this, But it seems like wakaki rushed the ending of TWGOK just to fuck it up on its following manga series. At least this ended naturally and didn't get axed.

op is not wrong for asking it

I used MAL ratings to decide the shows I'm watching this season, but I don't want to leave any out because it might be a hidden gem

Also watching a 24 minute episode of like 30 shows just to decide what I'll watch is way too much wasted time, so I'd rather ask people who might know more

I read the entire Manga. It's ok if you like romcoms. Nice that it's about adults but it doesn't do much to stand out from any other series. It's the type of series that in a decade you might struggle to recall many details about it because it didn't separate itself from the pack of other simular series.
