Sorry for the delay. Work has been so chaotic and my free time has been taken up with sports.
My football team won the championship the other day so it's been non-stop celebrating around here.

How's things going?

It my works busy season now so all the work keeps pouring in. So, my schedule now will be quite heavy but the offseason is such a good trade off with laid back hours that it is so worth it. Are you talking about the WJC that was taking place in Canada or local ones?

Yeah, mostly everyone I knew was in bed and asleep well before midnight even happened. It used to be such a party holiday and now we just all want to sleep haha.

I've been in such a bad anime slump right now. However, Solo Level and Sakamoto I tried the other nigth and they weren't bad. We shall see though.

How was your new year? Did you do anything fun over the holdiay besides the norm?

I love a good 80s/90s action film. It just feels like they don't make those kind of movies anymore. They are just lazy and either make superheros movies or some preachy film that bores me to death. I constantly find myself aimlessly scrolling through the streaming service looking for something to watch to only replay my favorites again. I finished Grimm and just started a rewatch of Lord of the Rings again.

Have you watched any good anime recently? I've been in a severe drop over anime and can't drum up any interest in watching any.

hmm you are right.. saying "happy new year" to somone might be dangerous.. who knows what it means..

happ.. hold on a minute what does it mean?

I got to see Skenes pitch live this year when I was in Pittsburgh visiting my brother-in-law and it was great. He's got great potential to be one of the great pitches in the game if he keeps working at his craft and it was also good that he wasn't paying against my Phillies. However, long-term I don't see him staying with the Pirates with how cheap that ownership is. Nowadays, everyone is chasing the next big contract. It is ruining the game in the long run.

Oh yeah, I've been told quoted prices of $1,000 as the cheapest ticket in the house. The hotels in the area have already started to roll out their "World Cup" pricing for staying in the city. I literally just laughed because I'm not sure how anyone is going to afford this. On top of all this, USA isn't even playing on the east coast at all and mainly out west which is another costly barrier. So, it looks like I'll mainly be watching from home.

I highly doubt how sanitary it is but it isn't much worse than going to a public park. However, I always bring a ton of hand santizer with me when we go and clean our hands often. When I was growing up, we had so many legos but sadly my father threw them all out.

You don't have to remind me how old things are anymore. I've really started realizing how old I am when my favorite things are celebrating their 20th, 25th, and 30th anniversary already. The movie theater around the corner here was advertising about their special event for the 20th anniversary of Lord of the Rings. My back hurts from it.

I'm not surprised since they are the two most internationally known teams in the league. The Japanese alone broke the international broadcast figures for TV only this past year to watch Ohtani. It's just such a shame that the overall drama of the World Series was quite tame for all that all star talent. Ohtani is also set for life with how his contract is set up with all that deferred money and such. It would be nice to be guaranteed x amount of million dollars for the next twenty years.

Yeah, I support my local team here in Philly plus I became a big fan of Manchester United over the past decade. I even traveled over to Manchester to see a game at Old Trafford some years back. I'm also a fan of international play as well plus I can't wait for the World Cup to be here in a couple years. There will be four games in my home city so I'm hoping for some good match ups. I've always been curious but how do Europeans fell about the UEFA Nations League set up?? Do you guys like it or is WC qualifying still more exciting? CONCACAF has their own version now and it's quite pointless until the Semi's and even then pretty mediocore.

Well, there's a Lego place here in the states where you can come and free build so i took my boys there. It was a ton of fun and was nice to just throw stuff together. The price of Legos is crazy anymore over here. They had a Lego set of Hogwarts and wanted like $650 USD for it. I love legos buts not that much.

Bullseye there, I feel like most of the stuff put out is either more Isekai or repetitive shows. I think it is also as I've gotten older the tropes get a little annoying after awhile. I've just finished up re-watching a show called Grimm which was one of my favorites. I've been in a bit of nostalgic mode. Might watch some Stargate SG1 next. Have you ever heard of it?

Thats interesting about the hockey, was it for qualifies for something? I miss when the Olympics had all the pro hockey players in it. Was always fun seeing the US play against everyone. Especially since the NHL has a bunch of players from the world as it is.
