Yikes, now Takuya has to deal with his parents about this marriage situation. Gotta say, he really got hit with a lot of drama since that arranged marriage.

On another note, it's interesting to see Claudia adapted into this anime. She's how I imagined to be like in the show and they captured her personality in animated form well.

Hey would you look at that, our Honjouji-san actually hit it off really nice with the dad, some common topics among them to talk about ... maybe they wanted to tell us something with that eh ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

Also, somehow i knew exactly how Claudia would sound even without hearing her ... all i've heard was Karen from Kiniro Mosaic xD

Wel the problems with dad have been delayed tho i wonder what they will tell him.
It's clear the couple is getting closer and more might come from this relationship than they are both expecting.

"Do you always have that with you?"
She's been caught out, but it not ... that ... strange ..., is it?.

"If I were to marry her ..."
He has been caught by his own thoughts; no going back now.

Kama was not best boy this episode.

Traditional families sure have some unrealistic traditions. Glad that things have moved on though. I guess Takuya being on track with marriage makes him ideal for tasks like an escort. Despite the rumours Claudia turned out to be a pretty normal girl. But it was fun seeing Rika be that affected at seeing Claudia in the apartment. But it was sad seeing Claudia sacrifice her romance because of her role as a princess.

Hmmm another great episode 🥳
I need somebody who can love me at my worst
No, I'm not perfect, but I hope you see my worth
'Cause it's only you, nobody new, I put you first
And for you, girl, I swear I'll do the worst

If you stay forever, let me hold your hand
I can fill those places in your heart no else can
Let me show you love, oh, I don't pretend, yeah
I'll be right here, baby, you know I'll sink or swim

God, what a beautiful anime...

I liked it, a bit of Takuya's background, seeing how Honjoji is not a bad person and of course, that "event" of him having to guide the princess shows that Takuya is not shy, he is an introvert.

On the other hand, I will just say:
NO WAY!!! SHE GAVE HIM A ROCK!!! LIKE PENGUINS WHO GIVE A ROCK TO THEIR PARTNER!!!!

It seems like the conversation with Takuya's father will have to wait for another time.

I liked Claudia's attitude, and Takuya did a great job entertaining her with a personalized tour based on her interests. It was fun to see Honjouji's weird ideas about Claudia and Takuya; though I don't blame her since it's weird that Takuya brought Claudia to his room.

I doubt we'll ever see Claudia again, but at least she was inspired by the fake relationship between Takuya and Honjouji, even if she doesn't know it. And who knows, maybe Takuya and Honjouji were inspired by her too!

Touyama Nao character so Claudia best girl automatically. Felt heartbroken for her having to marry a man despite being in love with a woman just for the “good of the country”.

Makes her personalised tour around the city that much more meaningful because it’s probably one of the first times in her life she’s able to do something she wants to do. I reckon animanga and otaku culture was probably an escape for her stuffy royal lifestyle, so seeing things up close and wearing a sailor uniform etc was a great experience for her.

Takuya and Honjoji(to Claudia anyway) have a relationship of actual love so seeing how Takuya talked about Honjoji and seeing how they behaved around each other gave her the motivation to live life as she wants to. I really hope she gets her happy ending she deserves it

Another thursday another episode of good ol' coziness. Not that many hurdles for their relationship this time, but that surely isn't stopping them from growing ever closer. As Oohara said, Honjouji is such a cutie sometimes. Seeing everyone here smile just makes my evening so much better, looking forward to more!

Claudia is so real for not finding the huge tourist attractions to be the most exciting things to see/do when traveling

It was fun learning about Takuya's hometown. Also, it's sad that their population is declining and their wedding ceremonies aren't as explosive anymore. Hopefully, Takuya and Rika will change that.

Wasn't expecting this episode would go by Takuya courting a European princess from a fictional country that's clearly supposed to be a parody of Liechtenstein. But even more unexpected was the princess secretly being gay. I wonder if that's also a reference to a real-life thing. The Sailor Moon reference was wild tho.

Didn't expect some cringe here but ok.
Japanese population decline ah yes age old problem not sure what his father expects from Takuya to do anything about it. Rika bringing out atlas in any situation is so great. The father problem is delayed but Takuya have to deal with Princess Claudia from some randomass made up microstate in Germany. Good to see these sort of travelling stuff too.

Takuya did his job well. These are sort of things a foreigner wants to see. Claudia sure enjoyed her day. The twist about she having female lover so that's why she has male escorts was kind of left field. They portrayed these taboo romance of royal family members decently. Sill dk why she still wanted to go to his house. Kama ambush was wild. Atleast she gets to meet Rika and crate more awkward moments. I hope seeing how "happily married" Takuya and Rika might have helped her finding her own happiness with her partner.

Rika's jealousy was so wholesome. Being an introvert tsundere is not easy. Her gift of frog shaped stone was such a sweet one..

I thought that the fictional country they introduced was supposed to be a cross between Liechtenstein and Luxembourg.

That aside, I'm very glad I decided to watch this. It was one I eyed before the season, figured it'd probably be an easy one or two episode watch and drop, but then already ended up knowing after that second episode that there was something more there and it seemed like something worth continuing with. I'm not saying it's something I'm going to end up giving a 9/10 or will be series of the year or decade or anything like that, but it's just pleasant and easy to watch while still having enough details worth paying attention to and scenes featuring characters' changing moods/attitudes and introspection to be more than just a sleep aid or totally turn your brain off type.

It's very plain and unassuming and in addition to that, or maybe partially because of it, just relaxing as well? I think it also has to do with the fact that I feel like it's been a while since I've seen a regular adults in an office or other workplace Slice of Life-esque anime. No world-rattling consequences. It's lighthearted and occasionally humorous, but not the kind of comedy which is just constant screaming and screams over and cancels out any of the more tender moments or places with potential for them. And I like the romance genre, but maybe it's that I don't watch a large amount of just regular same/similar age human heterosexual couples, plain Jane in other words, as that's not my specific thing, so "normal" ones are a nice change of pace.

I don't watch an abundance of more "vanilla" romcoms and romantic dramas in general, so maybe I mentally sold them short regarding how enjoyable they can be when you're in the proper mood and frame of mind. Well, I enjoyed something like Nagatoro too which I suppose is a pretty "normal" romcom except perhaps not fully due to inclusion of bullying/teasing kink.

This reminds me of a romcom sitcom you could put on at 2:00am, even watch a little out of order on TV in reruns if it's something which went on to have like 120 episodes, and just enjoy the low stakes slow burn experience of getting to know and get used to the characters and their cast dynamics together. Even their co-workers, several of which seem either dim or pushy controlling bosses, feel like they could have a fun and endearing, purposeful part to play in it all by story's end.

"I want to go straight home, forget all this, and go to sleep" - Relatable.

Oohara attending to a European princess all by himself was a little too ridiculous a setup, but at least it brought Nao Touyama onto the show and created some nice character moments for Oohara and Honjouji.

He needs to somehow come clean to his dad, who doesn't deserve to be lied to. However it seems the girl might have connected with his father as soon as she understood and appreciated the beauty their hometown region.

The Princess' tour was a lot of fun. It turns out she's thinking of changing things so she can be happy, showing us that even the rich and famous have problems. I wasn't expecting that level of profound stuff to already come in, and at episode 3 no less.

@JammingGem It's insane really and not understandable. Way more bigotry itt than I'd expect. I thought weebs were more tolerant lol.

To be upset about about it in general is shameful, of course. To be upset about it because it's a characteristic of a minor single episode character that has no bearing on the show anyway is psychotic.

Welp with this episode we get to see a little bit of the country life. Suppose for the folk out there it makes sense that they have all the sights. Spending afternoons watching trains go by and catching frogs.. it's the simple things that go a long way.

And now we have the travel agency escorting royalty around town? Talk about some connections. But yeah, no reason to fear being at risk with this MC. They instead get the full touristy experience, complete with all sorts of activities.

Small note, Sailor Princess W

Are you really surprised? There has been hatred of and opposition to gays in and of themselves since long before that sexual orientation even had standardized terminology to describe it and basically before it even existed as an established concept, before modern knowledge, etc. It's always been a minority of the human population, so I don't get where they're coming from about birth rate concerns and all that, but whatever. I find it ridiculous not to want them portrayed in media in any capacity, even in minor and supporting roles, but those folks are entitled to their views.

Some people just oppose or complain over it though as a form of backlash against the overkill in the other direction some studios and entertainment companies with creative control went with a kind of hamfisted over-inclusion in cinema and television in the West. They proactively fear an anime landscape in the future where every other character or every third character is gay. And although I think that their concerns are likely unwarranted on that front as Japan is not the Western world and isn't part of the same zeitgeist of prevailing cultural trends, I think this motive is at least more logical and understandable as to where they're coming from.

@WatchTillTandava Yeah, I know there are lots of people like that, but it is such a small part of this show that I'm a bit taken back people are latching on to complain about it. It is what is, we can easily use this to help weed out the people to avoid.

I don't for the life of me understand how this show is getting such high ratings.
