Adonis put way too much power into his arm tbh. Way too much madness that he's going berserk in the fight this episode.

Can't say I'm surprised though given the nature of this show. Doroka had front row seats to witness it all. Luckily, Adonis had a strong body and could handle all that power. The ruins at where they are looked like hell though.

So Adonis really planned to the kill the witches from the start.

Need more of Doroka backstory. She’s super naive to the point of annoyance.

RIP Yamato, his death face is pretty funny.

I correctly predict (in ep1 thread) that the queen is actually the witch and also behind the witchhunt. Now it resolved just as I predict, I'll make another prediction.

This story is kinda loop. Doroka will fall in love with Adonis at some point, and somehow Adonis will die in the future, and Doroka want to bring him back at all cost, she will go as far as abandon her moral, becoming the greatest evil of all time, and travel across the multiverse just to find a way to bring him back, of course at some point she also change her name from Doroka to Dorothea, the same name of the witch that manipulate the king. But are Doroka and Dorothea the same person? Hard to say, my best guess is it's kinda like the multiverse version of herself.

This episode was 10/10 bruhhh. That twist with the queen 🔥, so she is an alternative version of Doroka named Dorothea and she wants to revive a red hair dude who looks like an alternate version of Adonis. And ya Adonis is so dam brutal with ripping that skin out of him lol. Epic cliffhanger!

Can't wait to see how/if they justify
-Not using Magic that would lockdown all enemy combatants at the start of a fight.
-A Soldier watches King unalive himself without trying to stop him
-All power going out in a facility yet someone saying "I'm getting a signal"and playing on a huge screen.
-Not dispelling your magic if it is being used in a way that you don't.
-Doroka, the witch of Naivety, doing the "omg , I just saw someone killed right in front of me" stunned look, right after complaining about all the death she's tired of seeing and sitting on a poll of blood from the battle that she in at that very moment. Why would the very last deaths of the battle be what shock her???

I kind of thought this would be interesting I like the dark nature, but its getting old now and it is to predictable I figured the queen was a witch when she was first shown, and I'm assuming that its a future incarnation of the pink haired witch he saved, to be honest the show feels unreasonable and is just going for the shock factor now, which is all fine and good but it needs a good story and characters that you actually care about to back it up, right now I am struggling to care about any of the characters at all. Revenge is all good but I just feel the MC comes across as a spoilt brat. I will see it through as I have already invested time into it.

Have not read the manga so I could be totally off bat here and this is also just personal opinion which accounts for squat really.

Yeah so the queen was a witch and was also the one responsible for the culling, I think most of us called that. Both the queen and Doroka have the same type of spell and I'm sure they will cross paths, that is once Doroka and Adonis get out of the trap set by humans that are teleporting them back to earth.

At this point this series is pretty average and other than Chloe, who is dead, there really isn't anyone likeable as even Adonis comes off as an emo guy.

this is just too sad...i wonder why that witch was manipulating the king; she said that she couldn't control the female witches but what's the real story here? in any case i just can't do anything but to be sad watching everyone kill each other for no reason. it hurts.

They did it! They said the thing! Love when they do these meta title drops in anime episodes lol.

Crazy episode. This show just gets edgier and edgier and I love it. Doroka’s love spell is scary tbh. She could basically control the world and the witches are the only weakness it has. Instead of using it for evil though, she just wants peace.

Love how she made Yamato feel stupid and think about how evil the humans have been, of course that did nothing to actually deter him because the humans are worse than the enemy they’ve created in their minds. His death scene was crazy btw, the sound of Adonis’ sword piercing his face and slicing down was bone chilling. Then wearing bro’s face as a mask was even crazier.

But holy shit the biggest wtf moment was Dorothea being revealed to be behind everything the emperor did holy shit. Doroka vs Dorothea is gonna be great and I love how the episode juxtaposed how both of them use their ability.

It’s gonna be fun seeing how Adonis and Doroka relationship develops as well. Hopefully she can take a little of his edge off

Can’t wait for next episode, this and Ragna crimson are the two shows I look forward to the most

We’ve finally reached this point. to those who don’t know, this point in the story basically confirmed that the manga/anime is a sequel to the mangaka’s previous work Kingdoms of Caliburn. The reason as to why everything is so overwhelmingly bleak and messed up in this series, why the Queen looks identical to Doroka, and the person in the photo frames is directly tied to that series.

I finally get to see this very conclusion getting animated... EPIC!
As much as I don't like killing and blood splashes, they adapted the story very well with those intact.

I also get to see Doroka's pureness and naiveté. Personally, I love her character, and that's what I love about her in that world full of hatred.

The King's wife was actually a witch, and her goal is to get Adonis for herself... yanyan?
So she's actually using the King for her self gain... owo. This is getting interesting.

All in all, even when all is said and done, this guy still has a heart to say "I'm sorry", that's good to know. OwO

P.S. Please keep up the animation's quality. Especially, the writing of Adonis' spells.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Didnt really like Yamato but I did feel sorry for him in his death here. Guy was just upset about his imouto.

I was suspicious of the queen before and did consider she could be a witch but I couldnt see how it fit till now. So Dorothea looks like Doroka and the guy in the ohotos looks like Adonis to me but it clearly isnt.

I think this is going to become a duel of love spell between Doroka and the queen. One using it for peace and the other for war.
I wonder if Adonis will side with the queen, since she will probably allow him to continue killing at will.
Friendship and reason really don't seem to have a place in this show.

I am really curious what Adonis still has in his plan.

BTW, Doroka and Dorothea both have Waki Azumi as the seiyuu. Makes sense because they basically have fundamentally the same powers, as it seems that Dorothea is like Doroka's counterpart from another world.

i understand why everyone thinks this is cringe and all but i still like it ngl
the way adonis DOESNT GIVE A FUK about anything rly, he was left in a binding state for years right after being subjected to trauma, that trauma vrewed inside his head and now he doesnt have goals or a personality he only wants ppl to pay, he isnt mov3d by tears or blood, he doesnt want to maie a better world for either side, he just want everyone to experience the pain and injustice of being persecuted and killed/seing loved ones getting killed for absolutely no reason. he doesn't have ideals that he wants to turn reality, he is not like lelouch from code geass who turned the world into a bloodbath to make it better at the end, or like eren who is willing to wipe out humanity so his friends that make up 0.1% of the world can live forever in peace, Adonis just want to off everyone

An anime that set out to aquire the (coveted?) title of edgiest anime in the World!

Honestly, this is a big disappointment for me after I kinda liked the first few episodes. The setting is super interesting and you could've really done a ton of great stuff with it. Instead we get a story that has just kinda removed any element that you need for a good show. It features an incredibly unsympathetic MC and with exception of Doroka every other Character apparently only gets introduced to be slaughtered wthin 2-3 episodes. The entire plot consists of just setting up one senseless massacre after another.

Dark and brutal series can be phenomenal, but you need to get the viewer to give a shit about what's happening. And that's where this fails. you have no emotional connection to anything on the screen. That's the big difference to works like Berserk, Made in Abyss or even Attack on Titan.
I care about Guts and Casca and want to see them prevail through all the fucked up mess they encounter and that's why the story works.

It is honesly impressive to manage to make something like Elfen Lied appear like a complex Character driven Drama in comparison. And that's not a compliment!

I am not sure why I am still watching this. I can't find anyone to root for. Adonis is insane. His hand in the slaughter of the witches is unforgivable. Doroka is stupid. If she didn't want the men to be slaughtered, why didn't she release them from her spell? At least release 2 or 3 to fight Adonis. And the humans, well, that's what the conqueror has done throughout history (pretend to be friendly and then kill & destroy). Now we have a witch (former) queen (knew it first time I saw her) that looks suspiciously like Doroka and also has a Dor name. Guess they're sisters maybe twins. I dunno. I kinda want their whole world to burn leaving only animals.

I like how this anime started but the rest of the episodes kinda sucks. It's chaotic and dumb, most of the things he did didn't make sense and not even in a childish way it was just stupid. They keep introducing side characters that doesn't really play a role, like what's the point of showing them wasting precious frames? Its already sus that the queen was wearing a veil over her head while the rest of the women in the anime - just the genocide didn't make sense until this episode.

Idk I might need episode 7 to see if I drop this or not.

Doroka was essentially the game changing factor with her Love Spell: Mandragora, convincing Director Yamato to cease the fighting and not giving Adonis the light of day to get him killed then and there. But Doroka chaps on her idea of witches and humans being in commune together, though Adonis is having none of this nonsense and wants revenge upon all.

Emperor Goethe may still be living and breathing, but his desire is still the same for the eradication of all witches. The twist though, is with Goethe's wife complimenting him for his efforts, though she is a witch herself as well, being ensnared under the same Mandragora Love Spell as Yamato did. The realization that the empress is a witch herself, the Love Spell proves too much, and Usagi claims the world with her: Dorothea, the witch of the unknown, to get Adonis's quill back.

To Adonis, revenge is his fulfillment, though he won't hesitate to kill Doroka if she interrupts him, and his Paravoice was the message that the National Security Bureau heard, which Director Theta instantly knew that it wasn't him. And with that, both Adonis and Doroka gets transported back to Earth, bading fare well to Lunamille, now the Kingdoms of Ruin.

Director Theta is ready for Adonis's return, but will she get the result of eradicating the witch's apprentice?

The previous episode (ep. 5) was incredibly silly, so at least this was slightly better, but the scenes on the moon still felt pretty silly and disappointing. It would have been interesting to see a bewitched Yamato return to Earth as a pacifist too rather than just doing an edgy "sudden gory murder" moment.

The Queen being a witch was really cool though, and the scenes with the Emperor were entertaining and interesting.
