| Damn. It's impressive how close Rae's exam score was to Claire's. Rae, who had tamed a Water Slime larva and named it Ralaire, brought her back to the academy. Alongside his maid duties, he diligently trained Ralaire as his familiar. In the midst of this, the selection trials began to join the Royal Academy's autonomous organization, the Academy Knights, responsible for managing student conflicts and subduing monsters on the grounds. Having passed the written exam, Claire, Rae, Misha, along with Rod, Thane, and Yu, faced off in the practical exam—a one-on-one mock battle. How are they not able to tell the movement of Ralaire? I can clearly see it sitting and twirling. Among many slime companions I've seen, Ralaire might just be one of the cutest. Watching Relaire give her all in performing pet tricks was absolutely adorable. I'm not particularly fond of the princes, but I was really rooting for Thane; he truly earned that victory. The matches were impressive, and the characters were well-portrayed. Wonder what will happen in this Knight class. |

| The magic battles in this one were quite cool, despite the fact the magic system it simple and not interesting, definitely not something I got flack for last week lol. But really I did like the fights, the ost was pretty good as well, definitely felt intense. And damn Claire is really packing the heat, if it wasn’t for Rae having dual casting she would have had a much better shot at winning, it was pretty funny tho how Rae summoned materials this world doesn’t know yet and dropped Claire into a hole lol. And after all that went down, everyone ended up making it into the knights after all, and Rae once again tells Claire to never give up which makes it double sus but I’m sure we’ll find out what it means eventually. And Prince Thane is now stuck with Ralaire, the biggest surprise of the episode lol. |
| This keeps feeling more and more like a dating simulator. Which obviously it is but I like that they are sticking to that and not veering of into another direction |

| Thane's intensity and the cuteness of Ralaire are a perfect match. I cracked up at the end when they showed he was still holding on to it. I was kind of hoping to see Rae go all out during the battle, but I guess she only needed to go half power. Happy that Claire is more accepting of Rae's abilities now as she didn't seem too upset over losing this time. Or at least, she got over it rather quickly. |

| That is pretty intense for just some sparring level shit like damn especially Rae was close to absolutely dying. No way would she last a second being hit by a flame that can melt rocks even if it was an accident. Garrett_Dark said: I'm kind of surprised Claire is still betting Rae to get her kicked out. I can see Claire wanting to beat Rae to get back some lost pride from the first time, but I can't see her wanting to get Rae kicked out now, especially since Rae is her maid now and is supposed to take care of her in school. Not to mention they're on better terms after last episode too. I can only guess this is the Otome Game attempting to course-correct back to the original script where the villainess bets the protag yet again to get her kicked out, while the protag not being the villainess' maid Claire might be trying to make Rae take things more seriously and give her all instead of not making the most of her abilities, maybe? |

| I thought that the fights were pretty well done but I wonder what Rae means when she is having Claire swear to never give up. Rae could've had Claire go on a date or something so is this an indirect way of telling Claire to never give up on life? Or on Thane? Maybe we'll see what she means later on. |
| Rae didn't take Claire seriously during the whole match. Not gonna lie, Claire not getting mad at her for it kinda surprised me. |
| That was actually a nice magic battle, and I enjoy seeing Rae getting all creative with the spells she uses and things she can make, not bad at all... even tho Claire was also very scary, she's quite the strong caster as well to be honest! Other than that, I'm happy they joined the student council after all those mock battles, and I wonder what kind of insanity Rae is preparing for the next episodes. |

| This episode was fireeeee, I love how versatile the magic is, it makes every fight captivating and you never know what will happen next. I think Thane is cool and I feel like he will become friends/allies with Rae and Claire, and idk why but I'm getting bad vibes from Yu.... Rod is just kind of there. I feel like the next episode will also be a good one. |

| she straight up told her the familiar was named after their supposed ship, lol Claire laughing like that in front of exams results still doesn't get old, too bad for her Rae just doesn't give up (even if some faces of her look weird and it's easy to ask if she's just made like that or the animation budget is cheap, at some point she seriously looked like Hermes from Futurama when he also had a brain slug over his head) Not too entertained by the fights even if the first one seemed to have a pokemon-esque music and a similar situation to the Dingodile boss fight from Crash Bandicoot 3... the second outcome was unexpected. Claire isn't eliminated after all (not that surprising) but the previews for the next episode can be more interesting |

| Loving this series. Already loved the manga from the little bit that I read but the anime is great too. This whole "Never give up" thing must be foreshadowing something in the future that Rae isnt letting on about. Clearly she's a complex character with a lot of plans and knowledge. |

Yes, I feel like their relationship is repetitive and without any real progression, obviously I want at least some romance in something tagged as "girls love". Even "Yuri is My Job!" had some romantic moments, and that was the worst GL show I've watched so far. Claire's relationship with Rae looks like an elementary school banter btw, I'm not saying the show sucks, it's not even that bad. just needs some development in the "girls love" department |

| Wow this episode was beautiful honestly. The ending scene with Claire and Ray where she makes the promise to never give up was very touching. This show has not disappointed so far. The display of magic skills was awesome, they have some serious power! |
