| In bonus pages for chapter 53, I believe, Fujimoto drew a character from Shunji Enomoto's manga. One of Enomoto's works is called "Kirisuke to Johnny 499-giri", or something like "Kirisuke and Johnny, The Slaying of 499". It has *a lot* of people and their heads being sliced like in this chapter (and the number is similar, 49/499). Elaborate reference, sasuga Fujimoto-sensei. Too bad almost nobody will catch it since it's so obscure haha |

Now I know why Kishibe said that Quanxi is the strongest humanity has to offer. All that speed and sheer absolute lethality. She just pulled the BIGGEST "Omae wa mou shindeiru" in the entire series thus far! Aki's future sight saved him and the angel devil here. |
