Hao really is on another whole level compared to most of the cast. Jesus Christ.

All the hype aside, it looks like Yoh isn't going to back down without a fight as expected. The big fight should be the next episodes or so. This one feels more like a buildup again.

Hao was just "I need help, because if there's no one watching, I dont feel like fighting."

Luckily the Mu Planning Department, made sure to install a accessibility ramp, in case of people that need wheelchair, and people that like to be transported inside an iron maiden.

For once, both friends and enemies work together to stop human intervention by Manta's dad Mansumi, but it just proves that Hao is becoming more dangerous of a threat. He's a 1000-year one-man show after all, and the Five Warriors have to match that when they reach the lost continent of Mu.

The Shaman Fight isn't a touranment anymore, it's an onslaught war hell bent to destroy Hao and his Great Spirit, which this isn't even a pinch of what he's made of. Yoh declaring all's immediate defeat to Hao by making him the Shaman King, then revolt that by working together against Hao and using the Patch Tribe as their stepping stone.

Luchist blocking their way, only for Marco to take him on, and someone has to die either way. I believe that Marco's true justice segment is anime-original, and this makes the effect so much better for a feel, it's been sometime since it's just rushing of the source material all this while.

The rest face off against Silva, and Yoh might just be the best opponent to face him ever since the beginning where he gave Yoh his first Oracle Bell. Expecting a lil' bit for the final stretch.

The last couples adapted 6 chapters each, but amazingly, this episode only adapted 4 chapters. One of the few episodes of the anime where the pacing is good and not rushed.

Did Marco just die? R.I.P. Marco. Pretty much the first shocking death of the show, since we've known Marco a long time.

Hao is too overpowered how can he be defeated and now he is the declared Shaman King too

the plan of Yoh and the rest is to kill Hao while he was merging with the Great Spirit eh

RIP Marco

and now Silva vs Yoh round 2 will begin

Hao didn't need help at all. He just wanted an audience so he could show off lmao.

Everytime Marco's glasses showed up I cackled a bit, because it made me think of Gintama's Shinpachi.
Overall I didn't really feel the battle. Still looking forward to what they will show us in the next episodes.

That Marco and Luchist fight was one of the most anticlimactic things I have seen in animes. Besides why is Jeanne still in the Iron Maiden? To top it all off, has Silva gone bonkers? It seems like a completely different character, not only that, remember when Tao Ren easily killed Chrom? Are we suppose to accept that the Ten Patch Officiants are that strong? Even after the power-ups the protagonists went through?

I think they brainwashed Silva or something because yeah he is way out of character. At least I can't buy that he suddenly switched sides after a bit of time in the patch prison...

I completely forgot he was brainwashed, I checked Shaman King's subreddit and people were talking about that. Still, isn't it weird how he was brainwashed to help Hao despite his hatred towards him? I mean, Silva picked the Patch Tribe over his own revenge, how wasn't he aware he wouldn't be brainwashed? Still, such a shame, I hope he returns to be what he was.

A fitting ending for one of the worstly organized and paced tournament arcs I've seen in anime. It all felt like such a waste since we knew from the start who was gonna win and not many seemed to care. Plus, teams dropping out and rejoining due to technicalities, the hyped fight between two main teams ending abruptly in a draw and this episode having the supposed second round being no more than a fluke as everyone gave the title to Hao.

Also, what was the point of having Manta's dad there at all? Same question for the ones in the boat whose names I've already forgot after 10 minutes.

I started the anime without knowing how terrible the pacing was. If I had known better I'd have watched something else. But since we're here, might as well finish it.

You saw what happened and how Red killed Chrome (His officiant)
He literally said that Ren got his approval and wanted to give him the oracle bell. then Ren stubbed him out of nowhere. Also about Patches strength. Namari literally said to Sati "You're well aware of our true power" So that only confirms that they were holding back all this time.

I think Hao wanted to show them his power - afterwards everyone else forfeits and Hao is finally closer to being the Shaman King.

I also think that in some ways, Hao wants to be friends with everyone. What Yoh said earlier about Hao having no friends, probably got to him. It's natural to want company and bond. Seems like that's what he was doing, even if he has ulterior motives.

Hao is a 1 man army, he is overpowered and doesn't actually need anyone to achieve his goals. Hao is lonely, which Yoh is sympathetic of and Hao is aware of this. Hao wants to be understood and I think Yoh seems to be capable of this.
