| Well, that turned dark. Besides Jellymon's usual sillness, we got the main guys facing off against a rather malicious Digimon in the Digital World. Not going to lie, this episode turned slightly emotional too. |

| Is fine, we still have the reborn cycle. Was sad? Sure. But after so long watching digimon is just the cycle of life. We get to Gammamon evolving to a probable virus-type , but no Angoramon evolution on the episode,just the ED showing the evolved form. |

| Holy shit this was a dark episode. Gammamon finally realised how fragile life is. Seeing Bokomon vanish into thin air must’ve been extremely difficult. Wasn’t expecting him to go full majin Vegeta on us tho. Really wild first episode back |

| Okay Jellymon definitely is talking to and about Kiyoshirou like she thinks she's his girlfriend. Getting harder for me to think it has a chance of being something else. I swear she's going to kiss him on the cheek or something next. 1,000 kills and still wanting another 1,000? That's some straight up psychopathic digimon right there. Feels like prof Bokomon was killed just for the plot because him being so knowledgeable would be too convenient all the time. He wasnt even introduced that long ago but got a pretty dramatic sendoff. Gulusgammamon is pretty flashy but I don't quite get the whole persona shift with the attitude that seemed to come from nowhere. Does Gulusgammamon have some memories Gammamon doesnt Im guessing? I wonder if Hiro is going to be a bit afraid of Gammamon now which would be interesting. Feels a bit odd seeing Angoramon's evolved form in the ED clear as day but not appeared yet. Will probably happen next episode. |

I definitely feel like Gulus' personality is tied to whatever's going on with Hiro's dad and why Gammamon is a baby Digimon like Guilmon was in Tamers. I also think Hiro might be afraid of Gammamon evolving rather than being afraid of Gammamon. So far it doesn't seem like he's able to tell which form he will become, so now with Gulus in the pool he might be reluctant to take the chance. |

| Poor Bokomon, he was super kind and a well needed mentor figure for the main characters, the visual effects and sound design of Gammamon evolution was a 10/10, when it got all quiet it was great, they were usually letting go the bad guy but this one was irredeemable and got a deserved punishment. First we got that black Tailmon who showed up again and now a black Agumon, next episode will be a zashiki warashi one of my favorite youkai, I hope who ever the digimon is has a great design. |

| Finally, this was the dark episode I was expecting from this series since the very beginning. Not only did we have the concept of Digimon dying introduced but Bokomon was in the front of it. That caused Gammamon's emotional reaction to digievolve in a Virus type. However, instead of being a berserker like in other seasons, this time its attitude it's its outstanding characteristic. I wonder what they'll do with it. For now, best episode so far imo. |

| This, the death race to oblivion, and the Clockmon returns dreamlike time warp thriller episode (also featuring the introduction of Professor Bokomon) have been far and away the finest of the series so far in my eyes. It's these episodes where I've truly felt the palpable tension and stakes as thick as fog in the air. I don't think every episode feasibly can and even necessarily should be at such a fever pitch and as heavy on the suspense, horror, or action elements as you need the cozy and cute, fun relaxing SoL downtime and pleasant intervals too, but the presence of episodes like these elevates and is promising for the series as a whole. traed said: Okay Jellymon definitely is talking to and about Kiyoshirou like she thinks she's his girlfriend. As far as the series nothing I can think of seemed intentionally implied. Closest my memory is giving me is something of Lilithmon acting kinda villainously flirtatious with a human captive but i cant recall who and I don't feel it counts if I were right because it's more like a general characterization since she's based on Lilith from Jewish lore first wife of Adam before Eve which is depicted as a lustful demon woman because she wasnt submissive to him. It was either in Frontier or Xros Wars if it was so counts even less if it was Frontier because they likely werent their normal human looking selves at the time. Otherwise else there could have been some brief gag in any Digimon series not connected to any main characters that may have gone forgotten in the hundreds of episodes out there. I havent played but after searching i found apparently Cyber Sleuth had what sounds like a pretty strongly implied digimon crushing on an unnamed "hot guy" somewhere in there. |

| I'm pretty surprised by this episode. Up til this point no matter how terrible a Digimon acts/ do , all of them are spared and there's 0 casualty up til this point. Then suddenly 1k Digimons died in one episode. We get the dark shinka from ep1 foreshadowing. Finally seems like the show going to have a direction in terms of story. Up til this point although not bad, I haven't see a goal or direction of what this Digmon series is going. |
| well thats gotta be one of the best dark evolution episodes since the original adventure. I liked how it actually had a personality compared to the mindless monster we usually get. |

| Damn, is this finally the dark twist we have been waiting for since the beggining of this ghost themed Digimon season? Death has been dealt with in earlier seasons, obviously, but never depicted quite this seriously and violently, I don't think so, that digimon just killed 1000 other digimon, not for survival, but because he just wanted to. And this evolution for gammamon was almost as impactful as Greymon evolving into Skullgreymon. |

| This was the kind of stuff i wanted to see more of after the first few episodes so its good we finally got more. I dont need it to be super dark all the time but rather i just want that forboding tone this and the first couple episodes have had. |
