Hello my friend, we haven't talked in a vereeery long time.

I'm good, how are you?

I have started to work. I have dropped a lot of shows because lately I feel like there's a lot of mediocrity around and I only want to watch quality anime with the limited time I have. Or maybe I grew up? I don't know.

I know I still love certain anime but many others have unbearable dialogue or massive plot holes that fans love to ignore just because they think X character is hot/a waifu or whatever. I read the discussions on MAL before dropping an anime but I see very little common sense between anime fans, especially when a character does something problematic.

Case in point: I dropped My Hero Academia because it was too repetitive and Bakugo was ADORED in the community even though he is supposed to be a bully, but I guess he's hot. Fans also loved Endeavor who is another problematic character.

I dropped Magia Record, as you know, because the plot was rushed and the new concepts weren't explained properly. As someone who had never played the game, I was very lost.

And I don't plan on watching Lycoris Recoil season 2 either, since the writing was not good in my opinion, but I see fans are hyped because they want yuri material.

Nah, I'm done with MagiReco. It's not interesting enough for me and it has way too many characters. I wonder how I even managed to finish the 2nd season. Maybe because the OC crew was there?

And yes, Spy x family is hilarious. I've only seen one episode so far but I see the reason why it's so hyped.

Yes I agree that this second season is way better than the first one. I also have trouble remembering the girls' names, but I guess the only ones who know all of them are the ones that have played the mobile game.
I'm excited to see where this season will go, even though I know that nothing can top the original TV series. But at least we're getting a new Madoka movie.

Hey there, I have a feeling your a guy who likes to slam down expensive cardboard rectangles. However, ever since the plague, You have been doing so online.

When you are not cranking jerks sideways and wondering if telling your opponent "good game" is rude if your the winner, you are watching Youtube, listening to music, or watching anime. Anime the least, oddly enough. Can you change that? SHOULD you change that? you don't know. You also do really difficult maths research that makes your brain feel powerful sometimes. There's an anime for that right? Isn't it Serial Experiments Lain? You need to see that one.

Not trying to be rude but you sound a bit cocky, thinking I got interested in Lain because of your profile. I had no idea you were a fan of it, lol.

I usually love shows that make me think, and Lain sounds perfect. Unfortunately I'm watching many other anime that need to be finished first.

Surprising to see that we have almost similar stats, but barely any shows in common. Indeed, we could be rivals, but I wouldn't prefer it to be like that. I had my doubts that someone would see the review, but I'm wrong. Also, I think you'll love manga so give it a try sometime. Lastly, I think it's good that we should venture out into different genres so we can see bigger choice of animes. Who knows, I might ask you for a recommendation at some point. Nice seeing you.

I’m a positive guy by nature who wants to like things and tries to see the good in them. I really liked the original Madoka series and the first episode of this one was fairly promising, but it just went on to feel so substantively lacking and really unfocused which made me feel sad. The last episode which aired after I finished most of the review was more exciting than the rest but on further reflection it really wasn’t very sensical, with Mami going cuckoo for coco puffs, Sayaka popping up out of nowhere to save the show’s main characters, Yachiyo randomly being able to also go Dopple and Walpurgisnacht being casually name dropped in an attempt to keep OG fans around.
