Pretty weak show tbh. Michiru charisma might give some entertaining value in the first half, but the childish and non interesting arcs of the story makes this show just an average experience. 5/10

A pity. This could have been great but in the end, it was only mediocre. The main problem was the length. It should have been at least a full cour of 24 episodes to develop the city and its characters. The show actually had a really great premise. The beginning was interesting. I would have liked to see more of the city and its citizens. Nazuma was never more than a cypher and in the end, everything felt incredibly rushed and unsatisfying. Instead of having many shades of grey we got again a very boring black and white. The show tried to tackle interesting topics, such as xenophobia, demagogy, religious fanatism but in the end it bit off more then it could chew. Really a pity.

As much as I enjoyed BNA, I can't help but feel that this show would've done better if it had double the episodes to flesh out the story and some of the more important characters.

This. I absolutely agree. The premise is actually interesting enough that it could even tell a much longer story than a normal double cour. I would have loved to see more of Rabbit Town as well as the slums. I actually thought that the story between Michiru and Ogami could have developed into a really nice love story (given time), when Michiru said a coupld of episodes ago that she wanted to get back to her old life he was clearly crushed. The man would never admit it but had grown really fond of her. The show really had some serious potential.

Hah, this is a trigger. They would rather spend time on a bait story of female or male friendships than a well-written romance. Especially with age gap.

He is basically a God and Aragorn married a woman is 2,000 years his senior LOL so the age gap is really not that interesting.

With the art and the certain bits of premise I really wanted to like this but this idea either needed to go through another draft phase, maybe more episodes to actually flesh these ideas, or tighten up what points they were trying to make. Watching Beastars right after this made this made me drop my score down two points.

lol I have to laugh at people saying "this is the worst" *gives it a 7/10* if it's the worst why on earth is that a positive score at all?

It was honestly a drag trying to watch this show. I had such high hopes for it and it didn't deliver.

Also last episode Nazuna needs to be saved from the collapsing stage and now she needs to be saved when she and the little bear are surrounded by large mutant animals. Why does this character keep forgetting they can fly?

Everything worked out in the end, and now humans will be allowed to enter Anima City. Michiru really changed Shirou's perception of humans.

This was quite enjoyable, and the English voice actors did a great job. This is the second Trigger anime I've seen, with the first being "Promare."

I'm gonna 8 out of 10...The English dub really gives it an extra point in my book. It was a really strong dub. I fell in love with the cast and I'm so totally didn't pay someone to draw Marie.(I did.).

I argee with msot peeps here but I am shocked no one is calling out how Michiru just suddenly gets powers for the sake of plot.
I haven't updated in years but now I have changed that. I'll be free soon.

GREAT ANIME!!!! Really enjoyable watch. I seriously needed this with how burnt out Ive been from re-watching anime and not watching anything new.

It was really enjoyable to watch and god the characters were lovable AF!! Michiru was such an adorable character.

Its a shame we probably wont get a sequel to this cause its pretty complete and its like a one and done story. Especially cause it would be hard to come up with a story to continue this that adds onto it and raises the stakes. Overall great series, very solid 9/10.

One last comment, MICHIRU X SHIROU FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With that bite, Michiru could easily have lost her arm, and woke up recording, wtf. I know this problem needed for a solution, but Michiru’s blood, come on, that’s too easy, I think last two episodes were better developed. Boris, you motherfucker. I kind of remember that it was explained that Rose is an eminence in genetics, but I’m not sure, despite that, it doesn’t justify that she can create a serum by herself. Villain that uses tons of robots, bla bla bla. Alan’s revelation is something that you could see coming, I liked it, I didn’t like the fight full of lights. Why Shirou’s howl has that effect, something that needed explanation. Ending how it did, it was expected for characters like Nazuna, Rose and Michiru to have a closure like that, staying in Anima City. Overall, it was a show with more downs than ups.

Disregarding the stupid irresponsible plot, the entertainment value for me was 10/10.

The anime, sound, music, and everything was top notch. Don't get me wrong, I loved this anime, but it'll never go beyond 12 episodes. Too many plot holes. Some examples:
#1) Why don't beastmen just turn into humans and live hidden inside society?
#2) Absorbing the blood of 1000 beastmen gives you immortality? Over-powered abilities break reality and the stories they are attached to. Basically, you can just have farms of beastmen slaves to gain immortality for your invincible army of nobles.
#3) Two girls magically become overpowered from a simple blood transfusion mistake. You'd think the humans would just make themselves all gods in the exact same way.
#4) Why are the humans bigotted towards beastmen? There is no logic to establish their hatred. Especially since they are isolated.
#5) Humans don't have poverty. LOL

I wonder how Sylvasta knows perfectly well that he is a pure Bestman, also I do not specify how much his Bestman scent is hidden to make it look human, the only excuse was that I practice.
I am not here to say the bad, there are only a few things that have not been clarified, now I will write my review:
It makes sense that Shirou defeated Sylvasta, because it's not about being pure or not, it's about who is worthy and strong enough to achieve what he does.
I was hoping to see Nina again, maybe she'll appear in a second season.
It's nice to see Michiru make up for her mistakes by saving the Bestmans instead of just leaving.
It seems that Michiru will stay in the city for a while longer, maybe the second season is about humans accepting the Bestmans, because the mayor said that humans are now invited to Anima City.

The last 4, 5 episodes felt a bit rushed and one could see the ending coming from a mile away. A visual feast with some big ideas, but it was no Kill la Kill, never mind Gurren Lagann or the masterpiece that is Inferno Cop.

So, pretty much, all the problems that were built up throughout the show were all solved in a matter of minutes thanks to off-screen magic at the end of the episode. Also Michiru's blood ex-machina and an abrupt pure-blood vs mixed breed conflict that didn't have any build-up, no prior mentions, and didn't make sense because of those two reasons. Good show with a poor, rushed ending.

After Darling in the Franxx im sure i can say that is a legit TRIGGER ending, lol.

Sure, at least this made sense, but the asspulled elements are all there: Cure ex-machina, howl-ex-machina, Alan being "feral-pure-blood-secret-manipulator-of-world" from nowhere!

Anyway i loved this show. The happiness are the popcorn anime rated 7.00 in MAL.

Story may be average with how it didn't have a deep story involving discrimination and stuff but instead going the emotional route which I don't mind considering it's just one cour and the mysteries were pretty obvious (even though I don't think they were really trying to hide it), I still really enjoyed this one with the dynamic duo Tanuki girl Michiru and Silver wolf Shirou!....but never forget the true hero Kuro the crow!

Enjoyable to watch but overall, it was quite average.

There were some things that didn’t really make sense in the ending like why was Michiru and Nazuna’s blood so special that it could turn the Beastmen back to normal? To me this solution felt a bit rushed but it’s not like it ruined the show

This anime had a HUGE wasted potential to discover and stress on. It'd be x10 much better if it was 24 eps not 12 tbh, overall it's good, aside from some flaws here and there. 7/10. Would have easily pulled an 8 or a 9 if it was done better like Kill la Kill.

I really liked this anime, but...

it could've been better. The writing was a bit sloppy and not well paced. The villains were kinda predictable and the resulting conflict a bit rushed. The characters may have been likeable, but also very superficial in the characteristics. And whats with the purebreed and morality thing in the end? It's getting old hearing this all the time. The animations were also at times quite good and at times quite goofy and off. Especially as it left so many questions open. Like, what is that crow Shiro always has on next beside him? Is it a beastman or is it just another animal? Are all animals that sentient? Those are some of the many flaws in the story.
And can we just talk about howling being the (first direct) cure? That was kinda stupid, since the entire animality just being introduced so sudden to the theme. I wouldn't have minded the main ending theme being the end song in the last episode. It's another point to the "missed opportunities" I bet many people will give this show.

Overall pretty good, but I wished it would've a bit better 8/10 (actually more a 7.5/10)

Pretty much everything that could've gone wrong went wrong.
Everything regarding Alan Sylvasta towards the end was pretty rushed. Regarding the bunch of nonsense shit that happpened, the staff probably came up with it while writing the last episode instead of making anticipations like any other decent anime would do.
The first half of the anime was pretty ok, at least a 7/10 I would say, but the second half was pretty much a lot of random shit they wanted to introduce but they didn't knew how to, especially with the last episode, which is borderline terrible.
Overall BNA is not thaaat bad, but I much rather prefer other Trigger's works such as Little Witch Academia or Kill la Kill, at least those ones stand up to some standard.

I didn't expect Alan to be a Beastman; pure blood on top of that!!!

Well all's good in the end as Alan has resigned and the Prime Minister was also caught!!

Michiru's decision to remain a beastman was something expected.

Overall a great finale!!

This was a really enjoyable series!!

We got our Trigger ending. I like Trigger's big over the top endings, but I do think this show would have benefited from more episodes. It was okay overall.

The plot was interesting but rushed. The protag was annoying. Nazuna's transformations were majestic. Shirou was cool and bad@$$. The mayor was cool, but is missing from the MAL credits for some reason

While this certainly revisits themes/ideas from earlier Trigger series, the important thing is that it does so competently. It recaptures the feel of those previous series rather than coming across like a pale imitation of them.

THAT ENDING WAS SICK! At first, I didn't know about it! But when that fight between Alan and Shirou happened! AAHHH! My only critique would have to be Alan's over-the-topness being a "pure blood beastman" or whatever I slightly think that was a little unnecessary. But, overall phenomenal ending!

This was a good anime, not great or amazing but I throughly enjoyed it. I feel the second half was weaker than the first half, the ending was fine they left it open enough for a sequel season. I hope it does eventually get one whilst the ending wasn't terrible it still felt like there were parts that should've wrapped up a bit more

mixed bag fr, loved bits hated bits, I thought the reveal of the "pure-breed beastman" was super cliche and a waste of so much tension, the power creep went too far, and more. At the same time, some of the more general plot points and themes of the show did get wrapped up very nicely, so when viewed favourably, this episode was just, really quirky.
