Oh boy, I guess this is the start of a chain reaction here. I mean, with the suicide law becoming a legal law for Heartland, it's just going to spread further more.

Kind of a scary episode if you ask me.

Finally, a suspense between Magase Ai and Seizaki. That chills though.

Seizaki has really changed, even his own persona. Just to chase Magase, he even got recommended by the director of the FBI.

Looking forward to next week's episode.

Wow! AWW is the slow but sure thinker type. That call was definitely crafted for Seizaki and we're all just dancing to Magase's tune. 3 more episodes and I'm really enjoying the dynamicity of the story.

Only the last three minutes were good.

I still think this is going to be a train wreck... how they want to conclude that story with only three episodes left?

To conclude this Zen only needs to eliminate Magase Ai. Win for her, lose for him, win for everyone else concerned.

As many possibilities as there are people in the world, so can't really pinpoint what will be taken. Opposite to this show, I've chosen silence for now, although I'm not against it.
I was positively surprised to see yet another perspective of good and evil: "Good and evil aren't significant enough or different enough to form a basis of judgement". I hope there will be one which matches mine.
I suppose this series will have a largely different, maybe stronger effect on those who will binge it once it's over.

I really liked the ending, this is what I came for when I picked this anime up. I legit got chills when Magase started talking to Zen directly

But Magase has got a point though. If Zen would die he wouldn't have to worry about the case anymore. I'm looking forward to seeing how that'll affect his character

I was worried in episode 8 about pacing if you look back this episode was neccesary after all, but episode 9 is putting everything back on track. 3 episodes are more than enough to conclude this show, it would have to be, that all of them would be solely focused on Seizaki and Magase with suicide law as an undertone to be succesful though.

did you notice as well that in audio recording that chart had small noise spikes right before magase talked.

Also Magase is a surname she inhereted from her adoptive family. Her name is Ai meaning love but i though about it, what if it means artifical inteligence. really not sure about it, but odd abilities often require odd explanations.

The worldwide movement is moving along with Shiniki's made-legal Suicide Law of a chain, but not everyone is for the plan.

The gamer-cum-"Thinker" President Wood certainly is planning something about it, but not definitive of his own jigsaw puzzle yet because of Mayor Kaika Itsuki's initiatives, along with Ai Magase's many facades and manipulative efforts, thanks to Zen Seisaki who defected to the U.S. for reasons.

Though in U.S., Seizaki had more help in decoding what Magase was up to, but still that ending...her presence reeks villainy.

Insanity and obsession are the two words I'll use to describe this episode, with Seisaki wanting to end the farce between him and Magase ASAP, along with the facade of the Suicide Law.

Idk why but I don't quite like that fragile old man as the US President. His assistant seemed more befitting but again, the constant portrayal of him being weak and fragile must have some significance. Gotta wait for the next episode.

I honestly didn't think they would pull Magase to be disguised on a phone line to get in contact. But they pulled it off with that sweet temptation. The moment the voice started resonating, I knew it was the start of hell again. What a scary ideology to control the world.

Screw the lazy ass at amazon prime who decided not to translate the on screen text making my ass have to struggle to read it myself. Anyway this episode was great. I love the international aspect of it. I just hope they can still pull off a good ending after expanding the scope of the series so greatly. Also like what is Ai? She basically has superpowers in what seems to be a completely non-super deception of our world. Still burns me out a little, but I can look past it. I wonder if this will be addressed tho.

These US president force is really sharp, and with the help of Seizaki, this is going to be a different ride!!!
damn! even a recording of Magase's voice can cause a cataclysmic hypnotic breakdown effects to Seizaki!
5/5.

Geass was defined precisely as a plot device from the beginning of the story. In the case of Lelouch, people have to look at his eye directly to be hypnotized. In the case of Magase, the scope of her power hasn't been made clear to the audience. This kind of plot development is irritating.

Anyway, if it is possible to hypnotize people through speakers or broadcasting, she must have controlled people without troublesome procedure to date.

I think I read something before that some frequencies can mess with your head and induce the production of chemicals in your brain (not sure if it's legit tho). Is it possible that the frequency of Magase's voice makes the people she whisper to that way?

I like how other countries got involved. It is rare to see this in anime. Also, I thought it was stupid that they spoke in English for a few lines but did the rest in Japanese. They might as well make all of it Japanese.
People with low average anime scores don't have high standards. They are just bad at choosing good anime to watch.

Seizaka reference at the end is probably explained by his PTSD flaring up. Not like Ai traumatized him by chopping his assistant into five oueces right in front of him or anything.

We finally get the mechanics of how Ai works but hopefully we get the rest of the call next episode because s it stands its a hard push to get from there is no god and its over to enact the suicide law for me

One of my favourite episodes, although all the Nihongo in America somewhat detracts from the immersion, but it's essential for plot and logistics purposes.

Damn, that ending was crazy. Magase is basically a siren at this point.

We don't know what kind of people we truly are until the moment before our deaths.
As death comes to embrace you, you will realise what you are.
That's what death is, don't you think?

Not quite as poor as what I recently experienced with Hoshiai no Sora, but yeah, still not so great. I'm still holding out some hope for a somewhat coherent ending.

The article where I found out about the pacing in regard to the novels: https://anitay.kinja.com/what-the-hell-is-going-on-with-babylon-we-are-not-ok-1839985655

"I did some digging. It’s a 3 novel book series. It just got to the end of the 2nd book. So the last 4-6 episodes will be the final book. So It’s a complete story in its original medium which is a hopeful sign. The books are handily called “Poison”, “Death” and “End”. Death is a fucking understatement for episode 7."
("just got to the end of the 2nd book" is referring to the events of episode 7)
