THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Shinra looks like he's about to raise some hell this episode. Damn! However, I think Sho's powers are on another level compared to some of the other guys that appeared so far. Too bad we didn't get to see too much of it. I'm curious to see what Shirna and his company will do from here. |

Yeah I get to see Shinra shirtless, I want to see Arthur too, in fact all male characters should wear only revealing clothes like nudist beach. Also Arthur flirt with Shinra at the dining table, he want to have an indirect kiss with Shinra by eating food from the same plate as him. |

Ugh, if there's one cliché I dislike is the "smug white haired overpowered antagonist". To top it all off it's his brother. Sigh. I'm gonna have to put up with it seems. They seemed pretty relaxed there at the end. Does losing the key to Amaterasu mean nothing to them or haven't they become aware of it? |

Shinra's brother, Shou, showed up in this episode and he is powerful. Especially with that crazy speed of his. Even Joker showed up. That ending with the cross change. Poor sister. |

The show feels completely burnt out since the start of the second half. Maybe because they dumped too many new faces at once without gradually fleshing them out while shoving other characters aside (really, Maki is more of a background character now then when she was introduced), maybe because the plot got as standard as possible. Now I'm watching only because it's past the halfway point, so might as well finish it, not because I care about what is going on. Shame, it was a dark horse of the season for me but looks like it was only for the previous season... |

I'm gonna have to put up with it seems. those are two cliches on a character, one of them has been seen countless times in this type of series and then people complain about isekai for repeating a cliche 6 years ago when the shounnen has been doing it for more than 30 years! |

Shinra's brother is truly a monster. His power seems like stopping the time or moving extremely fast. I wonder how many powerful enemies are there like him. |

To think that Hibana's freeing of Shinra would unleash super shinra lol. Its nice to see Hibana be able to come out to the field and take on the white clads. The workshop sure had quite the unusual hidden system though. Too bad that the happy reunion that Shinra expected with his bro turned out to be anything but. His sword skills though really were impressive and fast. Still Sho's reveal also managed to draw out his opposite number in the form of Joker. Though they lost the workshop the intel that they managed to find sure made up for it. Its nice to see Vulcan's attitude towards Shinra and the others soften. Overall an interesting ep that managed to end Vulcan's arc on a high note that combined some excellent action with equal amounts of revelation and story expansion. Now that Giovanni has been discovered and Sho has been revealed it feels like things will only escalate. |

Princess Hibana is a best girl and best sister, what a cautious older sister by keeping Iris guarded and saving the useless of Shinra (I am disappointed in his performance in the previous episode), which now he is in a position to rescue his friends, but an unexpected reunion happens. How excellent was the blow with the knee that Shinra planted in the face of Dr. Giovanni. Lisa's pyrokinesis is quite interesting (I still hate her), she is like an octopus that reacts to magnetic emanations that living beings possess, a skill that goes perfectly with her organization. Iris saved Shinra thanks to her cute curiosity with the buttons of the workshop, she also knocked out Hibana in the process, but it was necessary or Arthur would not have left this combat alive. Shinra is reunited with his younger brother Sho and Shinra could not stop his happiness from seeing him again (for a moment i thought i had heard Miyako from Wataten), although Sho does not think the same and attacks Shinra and then Arthur, this to take Shinra to the hideout of the evangelist's cult. Little Sho is extremely fast, it must be because of his pyrokinesis, it seems like Shinra's pyrokinesis, but is much better. Things did not look good, but Litch appears in a vehicle and saves them, but Sho does not allow it and before the worst happens Joker confronts Sho and they both possess a similar force, although both received a small damage. Is sad to see how Vulcan is resigned to go with the eighth company, especially when he feels that his family fell apart, Lisa's betrayal was hard for the guy and now Yuu is in surgery, but I am surprised by Vulcan's calm attitude, He has faith that Yuu will survive and he will bring Lisa back, he believes in being able to "repair" his family, a moving thought. I still don't trust Viktor, I don't think it's a coincidence that he and Joker came to the rescue. Vulcan's welcome party was quite welcoming, Hinawa showed off with the cooking and the beautiful faces of Maki, Tamaki and Iris fill the dining room with sweetness. Obi again invites Vulcan to join the eighth company, but there is still something deeper to his rejection, the damage that Dr. Giovanni caused to Vulcan family in the past and the present still throb with pain, but at the end Vulcan decides to join the eighth company. The post credit scene with Shinra and Tamaki cleaning the barracks was so hilarious, keeping the distance to avoid delicious incidents near her. Vulcan feels at home and makes some modifications to the appearance of the barracks, Iris's reaction was priceless. The next episode has an interesting name, I wonder how deep the investigation of pyrokinesis will be. |

Shinra is so lucky, he got saved by Joker....... If Joker didn't save him, maybe his brother will torture him. LOL Sho vs. Joker is a decent fight, although it's very short. Their power is in another level compared to any character shown so far, even Benimaru. |

I enjoy it for the eye candy and the ecchi, but my problem with the show is that it has the pacing of something like Inuyasha or Dragon Ball Z where it takes 50+ episodes to get through one arc. Seriously, almost nothing significant has happened in 17 episodes, just a bunch of small events that point toward something bigger. |

I've been consistently enjoying Fire Force despite the flak it gets from so many quarters. I just wrote that that particular kind of antagonist its such a cliché. That's kind of a pet peeve of mine that I haven't read much of before so in my case, not cliché. Quite the contrary actually And who wrote anything about it being "simplistic"? Did you even read my post carefully or skimmed through some lines and just typed away in order to get some thrills? And lastly and since you seem very interested in knowing, I would have gone with green haired OP shounen antagonist Yes, green is the colour. We simply do not have enough of those. |

Fights were pretty great! I really didn't expect Joker to interfere with the Evangelist. I thought he was a part of them... guess I was wrong. Sho's ability is quite a force to be wary off. I wonder what his trick is to manipulate time with flames.. Gotta love it that when Captain Obi mentioned Tamaki's Lucky Lercher lure being inactive, that Tamaki's fish got stripped XD |

I still can't get over how fucking trash that OP is, but Hibana is godtier waifu for me, hopefully I roll her in the mudaebot waifu game soon. Animation at the beginning with Shinra taking out white knights was dope af, great episode. Can't wait for more of best girl Lisa. Seeing sho animated was badass, a lot better than the manga. Seems weird for us to only be on episode 17 when all the other series like Dr.Stone are on 20 already lol. |

Quite frankly this show has been losing steam for me for quite a while, I'm still sticking for a while hoping it gets a peak sometime soon before this second cour ends. I would accept at least any decent criticism basic on solid flaws but when someone is literally complaining because the antagonist's hair is white and not some other color... well you know the science is giving up on this. A huge problem i see literally everywhere and in the majority of the watchers/readers are they are following their canon instead of following what the story simply establishes. if the story says hibana used a bug on iris to hear everything and so he went to help i am not sure why you complain about this. It's a decent excuse and not, unfortunately, there are not much anime that came up with decent explanations so i am not sure why even complain and consider this an asspull? If you consider a decent excuse as an asspull then i am sure you would consider everything an asspull. Your problem is instead of following the story you stay outside and you have create your wants of what you consider as canon or not. Anyway again i am not seeing anyone mentioning the lack of fanservice shouldn't you guys feel happy? We got like 3-4 episodes without fanservice but again no one mentions it how odd but i bet if there was like a scene of it everyone would react like some kind of virgin/homo type of guy who hates women. About the comedy, maybe you are so serious and you simply do not like this type of comedy that's acceptable because everyone has his one tastes and what he thinks. It is a good comedy or not but for me here is the thing. In the manga, i had some good laughing and i liked how the majority of the comedy was done but when it came to the anime aside from the arthur donkey i did not like how the anime showed the majority of the comedy. About FF losing it's steam i don't think it was because the story went so freaking bad that everyone dropped it. Yes there were people who dropped it and they were the usual people who drop anything in the first 2-3 or 4 episodes and even less dropped it at like 8-9 episodes. The main reason was those breaks the anime got to like the 1rst break it took after the 2nd episode and then 2 weeks of a break at some point really damaged it because at that point lots of big YouTubers who promote this in the first 1-2 episodes they stopped promoting it because of the break and then they never picked it up examples: king of lighting (watched like the 1rst episode when it come never bothered continuing this) 2nd forneverworld (only watched1-2 episodes and dropped it) rogerbase and chibi who also dropped it after watching the first 2 episodes. When those big youtubers stopped watching this because of the breaks and never continued it while they moved on to other things like kimetsu no yaiba, for example, well or my hero academia season 4 well. Now you know why fire force lost it's steam because the promotion stopped except some small reaction channels no one watches fire force and pretty much people put this anime into the hold and go to watch higher priority anime. |

Vulcan is still bent on bringing back Lisa, fuck, my Spidey sensors sense a cliché development there! Put that aside, I liked Shinrai's crashing the party there, his moves were well animated. But I like Sho though, his lightning moves struck the thrill in me. Glad Vulcan finally joined up, even though it was in a dire situation. |

I finally caught up after 10 missed episodes. I feel that watching everything up to now in a binge, the show's pace is a little bit slow. also, I really liked joker this episode. I had completely forgotten about him. it's kinda weird how they introduced him at the beginning of the series but didn't really use him as a character or anything. him appearing at the Amaterasu plant for a brief second didn't really give more info on who he is. Tbh, he kinda felt like an araki-forgot-Jojo plot. It was actually fun for me to see him again. I hope he appear again soon, at least before the season ends. Also, I remember Viktor and joker were talking to each other in episode 3. this is another example of how characters are shown briefly, and in my opinion, it's just confusing. |

Damn, Shou sure is a powerful midget. Sorry but I still can't take him seriously as an antagonist, especially when his own weapon is bigger than him. Hope my impression of him changes as the episodes go by but we'll see. Overall, I'm relieved this episode was more decent than the atrocious previous one. The animation during the fights was impressive, as expected and the development of the events was consistent for the most part. There were still some lame moments such as Hibana being knocked out by a robot or Obi trying to "act cool" in the post-credits scene but I guess it can't be helped when it comes to this kind of comedy the author so much likes to use. |

So much happened this episode holy Sho is op as hell Joker appeared and beat Sho in a way I guess? Both still very mysterious, or rather their power is Hibana added a bit of ojou-comedy. These heart eyes tho Licht is also still pretty mysterious Lisa seems conflicted. Can't really say what's an act and what's "true". Everything around her just happened so suddenly and without much detail Vulcan seems to be joining the 8th then. Looking forward to it |

Where is the issue here? Hibana has been stalking them for a while. It's been established that she's creepy already (heck in this episode she thought of f-ing a restrained Shinra) - Easy. Shinra already knows that his brother is with the white clads. He sees one with white hair, which is a very distinctive color (only character with white hair so far) , he confirms it by calculating the age and that's it. Adding in that the distinctive teeth is not even necessary. - Well that's a valid criticism I guess, it's your feeling. Personally my gripe is more with Iris eepeating Latom ad Nauseam as if it's the only thing that makes up her character. |

He's really OP, but it was interesting that Arthur could react to it. Speaking of interesting things, Joker is so cool and he doesn't seem to be on either side. The fight with Sho was short but intense, he is also super OP. Tamaki's lucky lecher stripping the fish instead of her was hilarious. And poor Sister, seeing the church tainted with that skull. What an episode! I wonder if Shinra's brother got brainwashed or something. Hibana is always everywhere and saves everyone xD That scene between our engineer and that girl, damn, so sad for both of them. Wow! I really wonder what Joker's true intentions are since he is trying to maintain balance. |
