| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Catchy OP song but it wasn't too special imo. First episode is okay. They introduced the main girls and established some of the studying themes. The conversations were kinda witty and I think the character reactions were a bit pushed on some parts lol. Thanks Fumino. Rizu is also kinda cute in this episode and more intimidating than Fumino.  |

| I was really skeptical with how the PV looked like, felt as if the staff didn't put that much creativity and animation into it but surprisingly it was good, better than what I expected, guess this is what happens when your expectation is at an all time low. Loved how Fumino turned smaller and smaller as she started berating herself, even her voice went into chipmunks territory. Anyways so far so good. PS. did they just have sensei be first girl? cause the manga did not start like this, not that I'm complaining. Foom and sensei are my top 2 girls here. (They've cut a looooot of stuffs in here, mostly the funny parts) I didn't like how they removed Nariyuki being touched by Fumino's reason to the point of him tearing up. |

| Uhm yea that wasn't too bad! Let's just hope that they can keep the quality like this, I don't ask much from romcoms but I don't want this to turn out like the Quintuplets adaptation, which was really good except that the animation and art were horrible at times. But YES finally one of my favorite harems is getting adapted! The VA's fit perfectly but it'll take some time to get used to their anime hair colors Also for first-timers who don't know: FUMINO IS BEST GIRL Sensei is a close second though |

| Visually better than expected, but the presentation's still pretty basic. But the presentation in the OP is super slick! Now if only the actual anime looked like that. Decent start though. The comedy doesn't always work in BokuBen, but when it does, it can be pretty funny, so I'm looking forward to more. Also let's be real here folks, Sensei is best girl ;) First two chapters adapted in this episode, which is basically half a volume because the first chapter was triple the average length. Let's hope that they slow down the pace for the later episodes. Anything more than 3 chapters per episode could be overkill. |

| Much better than the manga which I have on skim status only read in full when the Prompt of the day is intriguing. This first chapter and such has always been full of heart and got me emotional seeing how hard the girls try as well as Yuiga tries. |

| I followed this for a little while when the manga first started and then I kinda stopped following it, mostly cause I haven't had the time to catchup to my manga as I did before but nevertheless I did like what I read before and this adaptation seems great so I'll definitely look forward to more. Fumino for best girl. xD |

| Very nice OP and ED but I like the ED song better I read the manga for this, but man seeing this animated with voice acting is something that I didn't even know I needed lol I think this episode adapted the first 2 chapters, and apart from them getting rid of the bath scene in chapter 1 (Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh), I think they adapted things pretty well minus the very first scene where they showed the sensei and I believe the post credits scene with the childhood friend swimmer, those were new as well as pieces of dialogue that were cut Naturally this is another series where I like every girl, but Ogata is #1 for me and this episode reminded me of why she's my favorite girl (Sensei is #2 tho but she comes later) |

The difference here is that unlike our lovely Quints, these girls aren't total idiots academic wise xD What hooked me on this manga was how they both wanted to major in the subject that the other is a genius at but at the same time, they're trash in said subject lol (That and I instantly liked both girls a lot + the MC wasn't annoying) |

| When I saw the OP, I thought "so we're going to have a harem show with high production value?" because the animation is pretty well-done in the OP. But then the animation of the rest the episode just isn't as great, though it's not bad. As a harem show the characters aren't charming enough. The way the hero got them blushing is trite. Their motivation for majoring something they suck at isn't all that convincing or relatable. (For god's sake academic psychology is not about learning to read people's mind. Just like you're not going to do mathematics in college if you just want to improve the speed of your arithmetic. It won't help at all. If you want to improve your ability to empathise with others, just make more friends or read more novels. But why would the science girl be so obsessed with winning so random card games that she has to torture herself with an academic subject she clearly doesn't enjoy learning?) |

| Don't judge anime by it's PV indeed. Look like Sensei won't need to carry this on herself alone. Anyway this is good production value. Not the level of great but at the very least it can carry kinda carry the manga art so that's a good start. Well now the race will begin on another ship sail. Though now I'll experience my ship torpedoed herself in animated form. |

| Enjoyable enough first episode. Definitely felt a little fast, so hopefully it slows down, but decently likable with some good comedic moments. Without having seen the manga, I felt the presentation was honestly pretty good, definitely a more exaggerated style, but I liked it. I'll see if it holds my interest over the first 3 episodes. |

| Show gets some things spot on like just being good at something does not mean you are good at everything and some dead wrong like a girl genius on math, like an answer without he calculations behind it displayed mattering at all (if you do that you get an F 4 grade) also they miss that math help you understand the whole universe and that literature can be understood using math. But overall seems a good show |

| I liked this quite a bit. The character designs look great, the art style is really appealing, it has a really vibrant color palette, and I think the premise is pretty interesting. The comedy wasnt too bad either. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes. Super cute tomboy is coming next week! |

| I was pretty hesitant because of the studio and PV but I actually really enjoyed it. I think that it's going to be one of those lighthearted anime where the story is funny and amusing enough to carry it through mediocre animation quality. I never read the manga but I'm definitely excited for more! |
