Can someone refresh me when was it mentioned in previous episodes about humans with Sacred Gear's being ostracised and persecuted by other humans? I thought there were only a few humans not related to the church or Shinto clans that know of the supernatural, Conlan made it out as if most of human society are aware of sacred gears when he spat his dummy at Issei.

Not to mention Freed's Name was Freed Seltzen. Siegfried's name is his real name and the two could not be more different

Pretty much. As far as morality anime fails 99% of the time unless you pull a digibro and read too much into it. Other times they just get edgy as fuck.

"Neko's pancake ass" ROFL! Yeah, agreed. I get it that this show doesn't rely only on fanservice, but if isn't going to use it, at least try to a better job during the fight scenes.
For example, I'm convinced the hero faction never played something like a MOBA game in their entire life
"Oh look guys! we managed to split their group! Let's send our weakest members to fight them so them can easily regroup and find the place where they can ruin our plans! Alright!"
"Oh guys look! A healer that can heal the entire group and it's only protect by child! Ha, do they think we are stupid? Of course we are not going to attack them."
"Hey guys there's only one left! Let's wait for him to make a desperate move that can possibly foil our plans! Oh he's actually summoning someone and it's a almost naked girl no less! No Hercules, don't shoot them! I want to keep seeing her floating in the air..."

God damn amatuers man...

Cao cao was just trying to measure his companion's Balance Breaker and he wasn't even serious at that time. After all, everything that happened in this arc was just Cao Cao's experiment.

I actually love this addition to the series the fights are done really well and Issei has become a better MC. Why is it hated?

I don't hate it. In terms of "coreography", the fights are well done. More dynamic and definetly better than the cringe-worth fights of the previous seasons.
I just don't like the constant talk these characters have during the fight. For me, it adds nothing to their personality and it doesn't seem remotly real to what a fight would be.
Well it still is an ecchi harem so I don’t think I’d compare it to something like a megalo box fight

Good episode. Felt bad for Kunou's mom and how she's being used. The fight's between the characters were pretty short but cool nonetheless. Lmao'd at the end where Issei summons Rias so he can unlock his full potential. Great stuff lol.

Am very excited for the next episode.

It was an OK episode, I guess.

They talk way too much during the fight scene and it's not the good kind of talking. It's always:
- Someone amazed by the enemy's fighting skills even though it was already established they were powerful
- Someone brag about his unique abilities. The others actually do nothing and keep listening his bragging
- One side keeps saying how the other won't beat him, while the other says he will
- One keeps commenting about the other's ability.
The previous fights were more focused on the actual fighting.

Actually thought it was a missed opportunity to not make Issei relate with shadow guy. Both were "nothing" before their future leader rescued them, both are extremely loyal and fight mainly for their masters. You have to be amazed by Issei's naive "black and white" morality.

Meant to ask this last episode, but why exactly did the team get separated by the fog? It didn't happen when they were at the bridge.

Also, Issei did nothing leader-like this episode after hyping up his leading ability last episode. He allowed his enemies to pick their enemies and split his team up.

The oppai gags are still funny though.

I think they got seperated to delay them
. In the LN issei told them all what to do and showed potential . Not sure why that was ignored

No those are legit real... remember they are the ascendant of the Hero and those you see in this ep is their elite force.
The Fallen Angel try to get those with scared gear.

Kaos Brigate is a Terrorist so they must have scared gear user ( some they get from converting those with the fallen angel)
They even do more thing that you can't image ( hint cao cao using phoenix tear)
They even sent those with scared gear to fight the high rank high danger devil to get them to balance breaker ( as you can see in last ep).

There are a lots of scared gear =3=

Well, the intro fight was quick... and lame, I thought the last ep will live up the epic fight but... nah
At this point, the action scenes isn't worth to watch anymore. Still, the plot is good enough to entertain me...
Damn... the enemies are strong. But what about Issei, Oppai Dragon at his best with Rias's Oppai though lmao...

Another good episode even better then last. Issei owned that Shadow dude with pretty much basic logic and usage of Fire as a trigger too strike his weakspot.

That summon oppai skill came out of nowhere and how fitting instead of usual Power of will that saves hero in usual shounens Rias looked so surprised XDD. I loved how Issei used Boost like 50x times second highest i think behind that time when he went 100x times against Vali at the end of Season 2 he even cut off his arm (Cao Cao-s). Serves him right for underestimating Issei .

I mean Issei is like worm in comparison to them in his base form/stats but boost 50/100 or juggernaut drive are not the same thing at all.

Cao Cao seems too admire his oponents this time unlike last episode it was weird at first, but he was maybe bluffing for lols i mean yeah they are stronger as a group then they thought but they were all wiped out except Issei and Saji guy.

Also since when Saji has that full form i dont remember it being shown ever before , i suppose he achieved that during that time Issei Trained with giant Dragon in S3.

I cant wait for Kuno too reunite with her mom, she looked so worried poor girl. :) Also is that just me or is her mom Actual bigger threat then most of Cao Cao-s members, by her aura alone i feel that.

You mean "Vitra Promotion"? Blame TNK for that =)).

It's happen when Saji - vali - Issei fighting against Loki.

Azazel put all Vitra Scared gear part into Saji and wake up Vitra's consciousness that grant him " Vitra Promotion" or Dragon king Form that make him turn into the giant dragon.

He went berserk on the 1st time thought....

You should read vol 7 of the Novel... you're missing alot of good content.

im still annoyed that akenos past was adapted so poorly and compelty left out the actual development part.. i know it has nothing to do with this episode but still.

did they leave out issei giving commands to the team and just swapped it to Cao Cao asking who his guys want to fight. so is basically pointless mentioning kiba making issei king for the battle last episode

The potential true form that is a given (characters always improve themselves) but the summoning that is a shame... that could have been pretty handy in other fights.

I think this is the first episode of high school dxd that I have seen that doesn't have a single nipple in it (not counting that Xenovia bit after the ad break), correct me if I'm wrong though, there may be another episode that hasn't come to my mind. I like how this is more serious compared to the 3 previous seasons. Better story, but I'm still not used to the art style. I don't think I'll ever get used to it.

Cao cao was just trying to measure his companion's Balance Breaker and he wasn't even serious at that time. After all, everything that happened in this arc was just Cao Cao's experiment.

If everything that happened was Cao Cao's expirement then you are saying that he managed to plan all the events that occurred, inclunding organizing a trip to Kyoto, predicting Issei would go to the trip, knowing that he would find the fox little girl, knowing that he and his friends would be the ones sent to stop Cao Cao's team and that Issei would release a secret power inside him and so on... I find that hard to believe, especially if the motive was simply measuring his teammates powers.
Also wasn't the entire reason for them to be there to capture the big red dragon from the other dimension? Why do something that would prevent this from happening? This hardly is an experiment. The goal of an experiment is to confirm or refute a hypothesis, so what exactly were they trying to prove here?

Surely this wouldn't be their motive right? You are not going to draw the creature out if it's "nest" just for the sake of knowing if it's possible right? You are either going to kill it or capture it.
They are going to do one of those things, by testing some kind of trap. To test something is not the same as to do an experiment.

The native habitat of Great Red is the dimension gap, the nothingness between Dimensions. It's naturally lethal because... well, you kind of need dimension and stuff inside it to exist.
Only Dragon-type full body armor like the Scale Mails can function inside Dimension gap without some sort of magical protection. Even Azazel cannot survive there without protection.

Asia's supposed death before Issei goes all J-Drive? It was Shalba simply teleporting her into the dimension gap and everyone connecting the dot.

So luring Great Red out of the Dimension Gap is a great step up, as it means they can setup a stage where they can fight without worrying about dying en mass whenever their bubble of protection pop.

Never heard of killing one bird in one stone?

At first his main experiment is just to test if the "dragon eater" could work on Great Red AND if it's possible to summon him by gathering a large energy in one place.

But he saw another opportunity when he found out that Issei and co was in the area, most of the members of hero faction just recently attained their balance breaker so he tried to see if his main forces could deal with them one by one, fist by sending half of his main forces and after knowing that Issei and Co was not enough to defeat them, he sent his main forces to deal with them because he was confident that each of them was enough to defeat one or two members of Issei's team .

Oh ya, did you see if Cao Cao was surprised or worried when Asia healed Issei and Co? Nope, because he believed even with Asia's healing, it would do jackshit against them and he didn't consider Issei at that time a real threat but merely a stepping stone.

I am not saying Cao Cao organized all of those things you mentioned, what i meant to say is all the events like attacking Issei on the bridge and kidnapping Yasaka were a part of his experiments

So yeah, Cao Cao considered Issei and co as their stepping stone, but not necessarily as a threat to be killed. And it's also the best time for him to test his members balance breaker

Untill next episode where he will regret thinking them as stepping stones and lose something that can't be healed with a phenoix tear XD I can't wait

Well, that's the point of Cao Cao's character. He does things half assed-ly, even when he gets serious, and later becomes his character development

Oh I see. Then he must have some sort of alternate power up I guss.
Juggernaut mode is never coming back. His first time burned away so much of his lifespan that he has only 100 years to live. That's why Koneko is healing him with her power

I see... If not that, Does he have some other power up or something?

Yes it will happen at the beginning of the next episode. Rias is just the switch...

Sorry, but I can't get it. If you test a weapon, you want see how much it is effective at killing people. Even if it is a test, the goal of a weapon is the same as any other you already know: kill people. So why on earth isn't the hero faction killing all of them? Especially if they are a threat in the future. Hell, they are a terrorrist organization, this means that they aren't fit to fight head on every mythology, so every casualtie counts and they have a perfect opportunity, because this kids didn't call for backup.
To me, this isn't confidence, it's just a half ass plan that in the end will serve for nothing. So what if they were testing their sacred gears? Because they are alive, the enemy will have to prepare, train and fight them properly.

Except if this experiment works, it will completely fulfile the goal of Kaos brigade which is to remove big Red from the dimensional gap so Opphis can go back. The experiment is the freaking priority.
