I have been doing alright, although I have been pretty busy as of late. How are things going on your end?

Ise's definitely more than capable of doing that with the power level he's at now. But yeah, that might be the start of Ravel actually training and getting involved in fights.

Yup, that volume was awesome, but v18 is gonna be EPIC. n0m@n's really fast with his translations now :D I really can't wait for volume 19 though! I'm really interested in seeing how Ise and Xenovia are gonna get closer.

Well it looks like his work wasn't good enough, oh well Code-Zero's gonna be translating short stories after volume 18 :D I really wanna read those 2 as well!

To be fair the BG does have a few ranged attacks and I forgot the fact that the DG can halve the power of the environment - I suppose that's a nifty ability.
But, in the scenario that the possessor of the DG and the possessor of the BG have the same power level, then if the BG possessor boosts... then their power would be extremely high.
How much power to you think the DG draws from the environment.

That's a good point - to be honest I suppose Rias actually has a bigger impact than I thought in season 1. She revives Issei and Asia and defeats the Fallen Angels in the area. Hmm, I love that show <3

I'd prefer the Boosted Gear because I think it's better suited against the Dividing Gear. Hypothetically, if Issei and Vali were at the same power level, Issei would win because the Dividing Gear has too make physical contact with the opponent. If you had the Boosted Gear you could keep dodging and boost your power levels. But, I love how the Dividing Gear looks, the BB for it looks amazing!

Well I'm glad they lost - it's one of the resons why I fell in love with DxD, the protagonist actually lost. None of that: "I've conveniently learnt this new ultimate ability and now I'm invincible, muhahaha" none of that bullshit. The protagonist lost and now he is learning to become stronger - I love that.
I wouldn't put it past Akeno to do that.

Certainly is a wonderful series.

If Raiser really does die, the thing I'll be heartbroken about is Ravel. I'm gonna hate seeing her reaction if he does die TT-TT Of course, Raiser's a good guy as well, but it won't affect me as much as her sadness will.

Man I hope the new TL will get the approval from Code-Zero so we have 2 translators working on DxD! We could even get all the short stories translated :D

I agree with the Rias thing - she could've predicted the Phoenix Tears, mayb she just ignored that possibility because she was depending on Raiser's ignorant attitude - mayb she hoped that he'd be arrogant and wouldn't need Phoenix Tears in a battle where he was "guaranteed" to win.
I still couldn't blame Akeno - because she assumed she won, which was correct but, it's important to acknowledge that she used up a lot of her power already and if she were to continue she'd need that power. So I think she conserved that power by not going all out against the Queen, albeit it was the wrong move to make but... shoganai (it can't be helped) it'd be difficult to foresee that. And maybe if she finished the Queen using most of her power then she could've been taken out by something else anyway.
Hmm, Issei was very weak and even his BB was weak - he only won because of the whole Holy water/cross against Demon ordeal. So yeah, I agree with you there.

On another note - who's power would you prefer The Welsh Dragon's Boosted Gear or Kiba's Sword Birth?

TNK are fantastic for doing that. YAATAAA I love all the gurlies in DxD <3 ... Akeno especially.
Ooooo, a new nickname for Rias - I'm dying to figure it out now :D

I personally see the series going on for years as long as people keep supporting it. I mean to be honest they have material for at least 4 more seasons. The sales for it in Japan have been pretty good. The series has also been releasing the manga in English for the past 2 months now also which I think is a good sign. This next season is where the story starts to really pick up and I think the fans will be really happy.
