Most exquisite series. That's how you make great remakes.

Always good to have some relaxing time after a rough, epic battle. Episode 25 preview is looking pretty desperate.

I've always... always been watching you... This whole time... Because you were there... That's why I was able to try hard. So you could have some balance! So you wouldn't treat me like a kid! So you would see me as an actual girl! Even while you were gone... You were right here! You were right here in my heart!

I know! What was that about?!

I found the whole beach thing rather out of place (still cannot say I mind the service) but the second half of the episode was really moving. It was hard to remain unmoved by Mamoru's words. Poor Nimi. No one except Sanada knows of the relationship they had and how Nimi knew Mamoru was heading into a trap.

I didn't understand the whole thing about memories and how it relates to Wave motion technology and the Cosmo Reverser (is that Mamoru's body they're transporting there?).

They finally reach Iscandar, and she's alone? Kinda sad. That "hand on the belly" is rather suspicious.

Yurisha is hot with that outfit of hers. She and Yuki look like twins. I kinda wish Yurisha to be together with Kodai along with Yuki. Heh.

In the original Mamorou actually survived, which seemed kinda farfetched (and ended up dying later anyway). I like how they changed it. And it looks like Starsha is pregnant, much like in the original.

5/5

Episode melancholy tones, almost dramatic knowing that Iscandar is a kind of cemetery space.
Plot thoughtful and restful, excellent scenarios that follow everything in a divine way.
So beautiful and divinely made. * w *
Drawings and animations but not great, especially during the relaxation phase, when all were on the bridge of the Yamato to enjoy the quality of the drawings was fluctuating.
Some things in the story are in a sense the dark, I did not understood certain passages in the dialogues and how we have come to have his brother Mamoru there on Iscandar.
I also believe that Starsya is pregnant Mamoru.
The fratellli Kodai are real heartbreaker. LOL
Ost very nice, as was the ending.
The next episode should be a very, very interesting.

How can you give a rating of 1/5 or 2/5 to a show like this? You do not understand anything, you have to learn! U_U

same here. And the whole why Starsha felt sad giving it away....

i did not think she had something going on with Mamoru...all this time it rather looked like she and Dessler had something going on.

and lol on Iscandar you probably have alternative methids to get impregnated.

I agree, mamorus story had me all teary. The most tragic hero...i also felt soery for Yuki's escort guy.. forgot his name..

I think Cosmo Reverser isn't just a simple machine that you can make any time you want. It is like Yurisa said before "why didn't we just simply you the Cosmo Reverser instead of Wave Motion Engine?" and that is because they can't. Cosmo Reverser requires a special element from our planet, Earth, to be completed and that element is something like "Emotions" or "Memories". So Mamoru was converted into Cosmo Reverser and the time Starsha was talking to Cosmo Reverser she was talking to Mamoru who is already became Cosmo Reverser.

I really didn't see the Mamoru surviving coming. Nice twist.

That's exactly what I thought...Do they ever confirm it? 0.0 But I thought Starsha liked Desler? Anyway Mamoru is much better!!

I totally agree. The outfit seemed too "revealing"? Or maybe it was the colour of the clothes and me looking at the wrong places. And I agree with Yurisha x Kodai x Yuki. So greedy XD

Edit: After seeing the preview of Yuki on the floor and Kodai's reaction I have an extremely bad feeling...God I hope I'm just paranoid.

This series is an epic, no other way to describe it.
And damn, the main character's big brother, managed to be the first human to land on the new planet, be the only survivor there after travelling thousands of light-speed years AND in the short time he was there to impregnate the ruler/princess of the planet. Pretty sure he is the most alpha anime male I have ever seen.

I guess Mamoru had enough life in him to bang Starsha and knock her up. xD

His final message almost brought a tear to my eye. T^T

The preview that Desler guy is still alive geez. Then again it wouldn't be very entertaining to have the final two episodes with smooth sailing back to Earth. All I want from this series is Hoshina and Misaki to live. Please for me? T^T

Of course there's a beach episode part...

Why do they keep bringing up Mamoru at every opportunity?

The guy chooses to die a pointless "hero's" death and now conveniently was the only one to survive, get picked up by some Gamilan ship which just happens to end up crashing on Iscandar where he was apparently half dead but somehow (for some random reason only known to the author) manages to bang Starsha and impregnate her. I don't even know anymore.

So basically, Starshya hadn't seen dick for so long that the moment she saw one (Mamoru's), she f*cked him to death? I would probably want to die that way too but it seems a bit retarded plot-wise.

Very interesting differences, this version does make a bit more sense and in general most of the original things do get implied even the pregnancy of Starsha! Still a bit sad that instead of like in the original where he's still alive and stays with Starsha is actually already death, but yea that would make more sense as I did find that part a bit strange in the original.

That said a really great episode with lots of the original feeling in it! Let's see what the two last episodes will offer us!

The city was nice, but severely lacking in vegetation. I'm not quite sure why the Garmillans needed a bio-sample of humanity when they have humans on Garmillas, and are almost completely identical to humans themselves. The whole "Garmillan supremacy" thing was pointless anyway, since the two races aren't radically different, unlike on Earth where we have humanoid races so radically different from one another that they either have bizarre offspring when interbreeding, or a high/definite chance of producing infertile offspring.

Despite being very slow in the narrative rhythm and calm in tone, does not bore the strong episode of the fact that there is seriousness in the dialogues and in the way of acting of the personages, which make the anime series valid under this aspect not related to the belligerent part of history. Not a bad twist on Kodai's brother. Who knows what the reverse cosmos represented for Starsha, I'm curious. The preview makes the next episode intriguing, since it shows a new armed confrontation on the horizon, will the alien forces cut off in the previous fight? The representation of the planet Iskandar is fascinating.

That's not funny, that's what you call NTR'ed.

Everything happened because Desler promised woman he loved(Starsha) to make her wish come true and unite whole universe and in return she let an earthling(Mamoru) fuck her. That was funny, tho.

Did I miss something? What was it that she wanted to tell them?

And I still don't understand what happened in the hospital. Will we ever learn who Yuki is or how she is related to the Iscandarians? ("Iscandarians", well, only two left, though.)

I just now noticed there are actually 3 Iscanda girls.

Nice beach episode.

I laughed when they said they cant have the space air refresher. The situation is just so ridiculous. They literally had to go to the core of the enemies, the reason they need the air refresher in the first place. What did she expect? Just not shooting back? Lmao. And apparently she is even in contact with the blue skin xeno filth. Like WTF. She is literally responsible for like a million deaths (counting the 10k ships explosion).
She also sent her sisters to die. Literally. She sent them to earth and they could have never come back. If anything both of them would have come back on the yamato, which she forced to go up against the entire xeno scum empire.
The wave motion gun story kinda explains why the xeno filth never went against Iscandar.

I still dont get the eco system changes from the planet bombs in the beginning, I guess it was just a coincidence. because the blue skins breath the same air as humans.

Yurisha calling Yuki her other self after interacting 3 times, but completely ignoring the girl she possessed for couple months.

Well...
1) The beach part was like 1.5 mins long, so it's ok, and was an understandable move from the characters (I'd go diving too after spending like half a year on a spaceship in constant battles with aliens)
2) Why was Starsha talking to the Cosmo Reverser? Did it contain Mamoru's memories or somethin'? Damn that alien technology. Didn't get the meaning of "she was there as well" line though.
3) Why the hell did Iscandar destroy other planets? Why is everybody except Starsha dead?
4) What did Starsha transfer to the ship in several green boxes?
5) As for Mamoru's part... Wasn't Yukikaze shown to be blown up in episode 1 in the battle near Pluto? Then it somehow moved to Enceladus pretty much intact, and now we learn that Mamoru was alive for such a long time? Ehhhh, what a stretch.
6) Why is Yurisha constantly calling Yuki her other self? Ok I get that they look similar but what is that almost spiritual connection between them? Why does Yurisha always "feel" where Yuki is? Will it ever be explained?
7) Starsha saying farewell to Mamoru probably means that he's somehow part of this cosmo reverser thing. I still don't get what was in the boxes, how was the ship "rebuilt" and what does this thing even do (rejuvenile the planet probably?). I wonder if Starsha bears Mamoru's or Dessler's child.
8) I wonder whether we'll see Melda's father again

Overall, I should say that artistically and emotionally the episode was great. Excellent melancholic soundtrack, nice character interactions and all that. But plot-wise, it seems weak, the most disappointing detail being about Mamoru. Like, first he's blown up in space together with the ship, than his ship is found on another planet so that Susumu can get Mamoru's pistol, and now he survived and went all the way to freaking Iscandar, where he just died from something we don't even know? And Starsha couldn't heal him with all her alien techonology that can destroy planets and possibly rejuvenile planets? It didn't take away from his emotional speech but that's too much.

Isn't obvious that she is carrying Mamoru's ? I mean she was saying " goodbye mamoru" while she is holding her belly so...

Also in the original both got married and had a child called Sasha kodai so...
