Pleasantly surprised at the amount of depth here, will watch.

Yeah its definitely a surprise hit for me this season ^3^
And especially considering the anime I was most looking forward to turned out to be a 3min episode anime >.< when it really needed longer episodes

...ugh I'm just so bummed out about it.

Fantastic episode. I was laughing way too much during this scene

Yes, this scene made me laugh quite a bit! It definitely was something different, but it makes sense since horses eat carrots. Overall, the second episode was awesome as well. I can't wait for the third episode!

Now, Spe-chan is even Suzuka's roommate. Damn is she lucky. The student council president must have high hopes for her, calling he in on her first day of classes and all. The rest of the Spice team members, who haven't debuted, want their debut race, now. Special Week did excellent in her debut race, with Suzuka's help and encouragement. The odd childhood training and twister must've helped. Right when she won, I was wondering how the concert would go because I remembered that they didn't prepare for it at all; that must've been really embarrassing for Spe-chan, but she was so cute standing there.

This episode is as good as the first, but I love this episode more. Gaaah. So proud of Spe-chan. And I'm just a simple girl, I love Suzuka-chan. <3

I bet Special Week's second mother was a very famous horse back then. I'm betting my sakana on this. Haha.

I'm so in love with this show. I'm so in love with the girls. :)

5/5. <3

I'd rather watch an anime based around girls who are horses, then girls who are battleships lol. Not saying Kantai Collection is bad though. I just enjoy Horses more haha.
Trainer-san is the best though. Has me laughing non-stop.

That dodge before finish line tho, damn I almost yelling too loud at that moment. But why I feels that her winning is too fast ? I thought she will fail at the debut race, so she will try again to be the best later.

I have bad feeling about the further episode, because I hate if they put fail and depression moment after many success.

Gotta remember a couple things: 1) she already lost the team trial race - if she had lost again, then it start to take the series to an negative turn, as many other horse girls would start to dismiss her - she'll probably lose later, but this was important; and 2) I think this series is more of a fun / good times story based on the game, so they don't really a negative impression of it

One question I have, though @Stark700 - seeing that it started with a 40 minute premier (episodes 1 & 2), will they skip a week for episode 3?

I’m almost scared for the second episode, considering that Special Week’s trainer apparently skipped over all the key skills needed to be a racing horse girl.... -_-

I think one of the reasons I like this show is because like yo finally it's another anime with girls doing sports that isn't just tits flopping everywhere. Like dang, let the fanservice do itself instead-- and it does in this show. That's class; that's good taste. But also, the sport is taken relatively seriously. The performance thing can go, but I'll let it pass.
That's not to say there aren't anime with girls doing sports-- even ones without the boob jigglin' fan service, but they really are kinda scarce with the exception of some ecchi or comedy series. I guess I'm so surprised because I wasn't expecting this show to take its sports element even this seriously. What a time to be alive!
I do wish it was more of a team sport (even though Special Week is on a team), but since these girls do run together despite having singular goals, I think it helps give a similar feeling. I really like that. Even if I end up not liking it in the end, I do appreciate the addition of another female sports anime that actually does the sport. Because sports anime (though usually team sports) often comes with some ideas, values, and such that I almost only ever see between male characters, but it's actually really nice to see it between females too. It's just rare. I'm content with this show. Really.

Loving it this quite a bit going on for a horse girls gacha game adaption i'm pretty much gonna treat it as a sports track anime

too many girls hard to pick after seeing the full character chart but the scene with her mom training had me dying i hope she shows up later

though Special Week seems to be getting quite the special treatment no pun intended first week with a debut and her other teammates still haven't gotten theirs

Plain main characters without any mane, actual horserunning or any horserelated things. Just plain slice of life antromorphism which isn't by far exciting me as much as Centaur no Nayami... Also winning the debut and obligatory idol performance? This show really needs to work on what it actually wants to be instead of just doing everything because they can. I actually miss fanservice in here, though it is good for them that they went "full" sports wiithout boing. Too bad I needed that boing in here to actually keep me watching. Dropped after this episode.

The second episode turned this from potential entertainment to solid entertainment. I'm surprisingly interested in the horse racing aspect. I wonder how the story aspect is going to unfold, I don't usually watch sports anime.

Wow their school motto... Such boring font mounted on the wall, it's like they decided to just get someone to print a huge copy of a 2 liner in Times New Roman or something.

Glad to see they explained her mom, was making me... curious.

Feels nice to actually see someone not start from the bottom and do good at their first official attempt, even if the theme is silly. Often times in sports anime, they failed miserably to set the standards.

Lols at the idol part.

Another solid episode. Vodka and Scarlett are best horses.

Special Week has a surprisingly sad back story, I feel like her adoptive mother was her actual mother's trainer. I also have a feeling her birth mother was some legendary race horse, but we'll see.

Queen Berry was cute tomboy, I loved seeing her in a frilly idol dress. Speaking of, Special Week was looking cute too despite embarrassing herself on stage.

One thing I forgot to mention about episode one, and this episode for that matter, is that it's stupid that Suzuka is conveniently both on her team and her roommate.

I also hope they focus on the other girls too, kind of like how Keijo also focused on the other girls.

Even this episode despite the narration is quite telegraphed, manages to entertain more than good and be very funny. Carine from the graphic point of view the opening and the ending.

Already better than the debut episode. I like Silence Suzuka quite a bit she reminds me of a much nicer version of Koizumi-san but without the ramen obsession. Looking forward to the friendship and possible rivalry between her and Special Week.

Really lovely second episode with a great pacing and finish I must say! While I am not a too huge fan of the Idol part of this series, it still was pretty funny with the slice of life/school part and the racing derby! Looking forwards to see what's next.

Lol. Spe-chan really got her special week, after winning her very first debut race, in a week. Thanks for that training lesson, and motivation, tough second mama. Thanks for that support and cheering, Suzuka-chan. Thanks for the trust, weird trainer-san. And rest in peace the real Spe-chan mama, your daughter really a special one. But, don't forget to learn some dance move next time, you horse girl!

Its seeing Tokai's debut of appearance. She was just a cutie pie, maybe the second horse girl that succeeded to attract my attention, idk why, beside the special one, ofc. Well, so far its just went too smooth. I hope Spe-chan got a nice lesson and a decent challenge in the future. So, lets see then....

This episode definietly a step up compare to first episode. But still why must do idol performance though?

I suprised Special Week was Adopted by Trainee (?) when Special Week Mother passing away after give birth to Special Week. I guess Special Week Mother was a legendary horse girl at her youth. Still I confused, what happen to her father?

It's legit the training montage with Adopted Mother was Hilarious LOL.

And after Winning the race with great skill of dodging enemy movement, Special Week win, YAY!!!. Except, she doesn't know how to act when idol performance happen and Just stand still like little child. Looks like we know what Special Week gonna training for next time.

Overall, this was great episode. Hope their can clarify the idol performance in future episode, but at this point is fine I guess.

HEY IT'S THE GIRL WHO SINGS "BALLIN' "!!!!!

Racing horse girls who are also become idols. I love this, just like how I love some of these names: "special week", and let's not gloss over "SUNDAY PILLOW"??!!

Special week went full turbo mode and won her debut race- and all for her late mother. Wasn't expecting this, but anime just might make me cry.

I have no idea why, but while comedic eye pain always gets a laugh out of me, it worked pretty well here. Maybe it's the way Uma Musume did that quick cutaway for the gag, or maybe it's because of how it came out of nowhere.

I don't understand what's the point of doing these performances after the race and why no one prepared MC for this. It irritates and bores me that MC is doomed to success right away, she got the best trainer right away and important people are interested in her and her roommate is one of the best horses?

It's funny that they wasted the chance to really deepen MC and made her dying mother a cliched piece of shit "oh train her to be the best horse girl" the end xD I hope that this is just MC's naive perspective and later we'll get something more emotionally engaging, MC repeating every now and then "I promised my mom I'd be the best in the world blah blah blah" isn't enough to make me root for her. Oh well... at least these races are nicely animated and satisfying
