Ah, the feels. Gintoki and Katsura dropped a few exceedingly impactful lines. A heart-warming conclusion to the arc. The post-credits bit of Hasegawa was glorious, particularly after such a dramatic episode. Another parody of Golgo 13. It definitely got me excited for the next dose of Gintama. |

Give it up for Gintama to turn a side character into such an important main focus. All's well that ends well . Great Epi |

Just goes to show Gintama doesn't need to focus on mains to get a feel from the audience. If anything, they've been doing this for a long time, so it shouldn't come as a surprise. Maybe you've forgotten but side characters have always been given more development at some point in time, Diviner arc - Ketsuno Ana, Hasegawa prosecution - him and his wife Hatsu, Otsu's father breaking out of jail to watch her concert. Side characters are literally the backbone of this anime.. |

He's more like an "extra" or disposable side side characters because of his personality and lack of serious appearances, compared to the ones you mentioned. Anyways, this is just my opinion and my first impression of this episode. Don't really want to make this into a longer discussion than it already is. |

More so than ever I am so upset that this series never made ikumatsu a recurring character, shes fits in so well with the characters and her and katsura's relationship is really cute. Its nice that she basically had some closure before the series wraps up for good. These past 2 episodes were so much stronger than the kind of weak first 2 episodes with the boyfriend arc. Also thank god the animation is so much better than the past few seasons, i pray silver soul stays this way cause while not totally in your face the movement in this episode was way above the past couple seasons especially when gin and katsura were flinging the dad and hasegawa around. so the animation is better than rakuyou arc? why? this ep animation was better than the past 3, but rakuyou animation was much better than this i'd say.. And also ep 328(oboro tells everything he knows on utsuro) now that you point it out, i can finally see what everybody else where talking about. But the fight scenes in SA and FS arc are pretty good, better than previous seasons. And, these 2 arcs and the rakuyo arc were full of fight scenes. So they probably had a budget problem.. Things you mentioned are also kinda happening in previous seasons aswell but much less than rakuyo. Kamui always move like that apparently, his fight scene with housen and sogo are similar to that of him and gintoki. But thank you for answering and giving me those links, a lot of people were sayung rakuyo was badly animated and i couldn't see why. as for the final arc, i don't read the manga and i don't know how many fight scenes there will be, but if it's going to be something like the last 17 eps of gintama ° , it probably contains better ones like this : https://www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/33011 average like this https://www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/33017 and not that good like this https://www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/33012 but i hope they go all out. this show definitely deserves it. edit: its not really fair to compare these arcs with episode though. this was a very short fight, compared to all those heavy fights they have in those 3 arcs. |

For me it comes in the middle, like the Utsuro fight in Rakuyou should have more weight(because if you read the manga version of the fight you'll know why that they felt like they had way more weight in the manga) but the Katsura fight makes sense to have more movement than weight(because that's how the manga looked) and the Kagura fight(from that Movie 1 clip that you guys shown) was all anime original so I think they went overboard with the weight...because if you look at stuff like Housen vs Kamui, Shinseguemi vs Kihetai soilders, etc. the humans/yatos shouldn't be having weight hold them down that much |

I feel the same way, as if they're recycling people but it's happened in Gintama before but kind of feels cheap at times. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I'm a fan of Gintama but sometimes their character backstories just don't do it for me (for the minor characters usually). The story/plot is still good but I wanted to see some newly designed characters. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Old's man's instinct to jump in everything from toilet to sewers to raging currents to save a boy who happened to be Ikumatsu's late husband. I ship the ramen waifu with Zura. I wonder since he's into NTR, does that mean he wouldn't mind if someone else porked her and he watched? That part when Loincloth Lawd jumped in the river to save his daughter just as Zura was about to jump in was kind of touching. I hope her dad can live with her now but since his memory is shit and is something like Drew Barrymore from 50 First Dates then he'll forget her or something every day and he'll probably end up wandering the streets and Ikumatsu dragging him back home. That bit at the end was the best though, Golgo-like character and Madao. I can't wait. |

I really like Katsura + Ikumatsu. Hope they end up together, even though I know romanc is pretty much the last thing Gintama focuses on, & I’m ok with that. But they’re cute together! Sweet story. Expected him to be the dad, but did not predict the husband being the boy he saved! Loved the ending, with Lawd showing back up at the ramen shop, & Katsura leaving as he enters. Hasegawa scene at the end was too funny! And yay!!! Shinsengumi next ep! |

Oh so the old man got amnesia when saving a kid and that's why he forgot about his family, and surprisingly the kid he saved became Ikumatsu's husband! Lmao Madao is the best weapon they could use during the fight against the other homeless guys xD And that's a pretty good happy ending with Ikumatsu's father returning at the end |

Well, there goes my hypothesis of that old man being Gin's father....quite surprising nonetheless of him being related to somebody.....now I wonder if they got something for Madao.... |
