Sumire in trouble this episode...

For the finale, it felt like any other episode tbh. Kei tries to save her while he himself needs saving. I think everything just connects back to the main trio from the beginning in terms of storytelling.

For this show in general, I think it fine at best. Some of the episodes can really be a hit or miss and the story has a sluggish pacing-like feel. (I haven't read the novel though so idk how faithful this was).

Everyone can make mistakes, and Reset girl didn't know main guy can make mistakes. According to reset girl, main guy didn't wish to use cat girl, but had to right now. No OP.

Short hair girl fell unconscious... so he guessed that she would hurt.

Reset girl's turn to look at his mind.

Short hair girl wanted to be like Chiru Chiru.

Convincing short hair girl so that she can get better. Win and get her or lost to live in the dream world and be hers. He won because it was just saying her name.

30 mins. later and she tests reset girl as if he lost the bet. Reset girl also believes short hair girl won't make him a stone.

So the girls will stay as this weird situation.

OP 2 as ED for this ep.

Shame it's over it was a nice anime and i really enjoyed it.
It was a good ending tho i would have liked to see a bit more of the character relationships since it was going well at the end.
That being said this was very satisfying as well.

This anime had a very damn rocky start, it was so hard to get into.

But this second half, especially the endgame, was seriously top tier. Very nice conclusion with the Soma/Haruki conversation and nice music usage throughout the episode.

Really nice turnaround and i'm actually gonna miss the anime a bit.

That was a good ending. Quite emotional with Sumire and I liked the conversation between Sumire and Haruki. They both really like Kei. I'm glad they saved Sumire.

This was an enjoyable anime. It started with a slow pace and it was quite frustrating to watch but it picked up in the end. Really enjoyed the last arc. 8/10

Well, I'm glad they fixed nearly every issue I noticed with the one line I was hoping for.
I was pretty sure Souma actually did hear the message but convinced herself otherwise somehow.
But the fact that they kept tiptoeing around it just made it seem like swiss cheese up until that one line in this episode.
I still think that place would be better off without abilities, but this is a good ending as well.
I'm glad Kei had his turn in admitting he was just being selfish and cruel. It's about time.
It still sucks for Souma to be stuck as an android, but I can forgive it, I guess. I'm just glad she doesn't seem like she'll be utterly miserable.

I still don't think I like Kei, or his ideals, very much, and although it is suggested that Haruki has grown it seems to me that she is still too dependent on Kei, (perhaps obsessed with?). Also, everyone, even the 'adversaries,' seems to be getting along fine with this ending, so I guess it's all good, but I agree with @SaigoKensei that abilities aren't as necessary as Kei believes them to be. If the system is more convoluted than what it is trying to support, just abandon it altogether.

This episode had a strange focus (in my opinion) but I think that leaving the result of the main conflict somewhat ambiguous was a smart idea.

Overall, this show was an experience, one that would probably be helped along with a re-watch.

I really don't even know how I feel about this show. I thought it did an excellent job having a unique concept as well as a great usage of music. But at the end of the day there's still too much wrong with this for me to score it highly. For me the plot was slow up until maybe around episode 16 and that's way too long to wait for a show to get good. On top of that I was never able to really connect to any of the characters nor did I like any of them that much. I really was hoping to love this show but it fell flat for me. That being said I think I'd love to try and re-watch this again in the future and possibly enjoy it more the second time around.

Waited a week like crazy for this finale, and it wasn't like I was expecting, in fact I thought that both Sumire and Misora were about to have a selfish arguing, but looks like the selfish one here was Kei haha, well it was a really enjoyable experience this anime the more time I spent each week, the worth. Asai Kei sure is something, really glad I kept up with this anime and didn't drop it

Well it's finally over. To be honest, even though the show really picked up during the last third, it was still a chore to get through each week. The characters all seemed very robotic and boring, which led to their conversations also being rather boring, and that caused me to fall asleep many times. It got to the point where I would congratulate myself if I could make it through an episode without falling asleep. The story also felt somewhat boring and sluggish at times as well, which, again, made me fall asleep. I honestly became so focused on simply not falling asleep that I stopped caring about trying to understand the story, so I never really felt any gratification when something satisfying happened or when something that was foreshadowed X episodes ago was brought up again, because I would barely remember whatever it was that laid the foundation for that eventual payoff. It's a shame because this show sounded really interesting when it was first announced, but the way it was presented was really different from what I expected. I feel like this show would be a better experience if you watch it all at once, instead of having to wait for one episode week after week, so at some point in the future maybe I'll re-watch this and see if that changes my thoughts.

And before anyone quotes me spouting some smartass, pretentious bullshit like "oh you're not smart enough to understand this kind of show go back to your battle shounen you braindead pleb," that's NOT the reason why I didn't like this show. Everything I said was simply my own opinion, and isn't the result of anything like only enjoying action shows or wanting to be spoonfed every detail of the story without having to use my brain. I'm totally fine with shows like this as long as they find a way to make it engaging and entertaining, and PERSONALLY, I didn't feel that way with this show.

Perfectly fine to have an opinion.
I applaud you for being clear that was your point and I totally respect it, since I had trouble with the show at times as well. I only take issue with people trying to state it as fact.

I don't typically re-watch a show until I've forgotten most of it, but it may help me as well. I still enjoyed it for its injection of philosophy and how it forced me to think, but plenty of people felt the show and its characters seemed robotic. So it isn't like that's not a perfectly valid reason to have a problem with it. Just because I didn't see it that way, doesn't mean no one else would.

Pretty good for an ending.
Honestly, this series had such a lot of potential and it could been way better but the characters remained lackluster for the most part, except for the main trio.

The slow pacing didn't help things and the show was Confusing in parts but all in all, it was a pretty okay show.

Nice and calm ending as i was expecting. There were some deep talking and stuff but lets not get into that.

The best character of the anime imo was "Kei", Always planning, finding the way going against the flow and that SOB even mange to turn a love triangle into a harem and get the both girls (kind of, we still have the main girl and a side girl but at least it didn't end up in a full drama and one winner and one loser case)

Anyway, i really liked this anime, its music and the story. Its a shame that many people dropped it because they didn't understand the first few episodes but i actually liked that intro part.

Overall my final score is the 9/10

This was a pretty good finale to a series that, despite a very poor start, has turned into one of the most enjoyable shows I've watched this season, if not this year. Ever since the Dream World arc began in episode 11, this show has been on a constant upwards trajectory and really surprised me in just how compelling and engaging it actually became.

With how poor it started but how much it improved, this isn't especially easy to rate. However, I ultimately would say that this show improved so much that it did more than enough to justify an 8/10. Hell, other than Owarimonogatari, I don't think I can say I've enjoyed any show as much as this one this season.

Wow, I really enjoyed watching this show. All the twists, turns and "riddles" (if you will) made this anime really interesting for me. Although I've always found enjoyment in watching psychological anime. A lot of people dislike the lack of emotion in this anime, which I understand. However I find it to be quite annoying when characters display exaggerated emotions, well to each their won. Let's hope for an OVA where we get to see the future or something. Anyway, I loved this anime (which explains my I gave it a 10).

This anime is very good. It started off with character introductions and information. Instead of throwing it all away like most anime it was all necessary to reach this end. Or in visual novel terms "the true ending"

And so Sakurada reset comes to an end then. That was an interesting method that Seika came up with there. No one in this world can avoid making mistakes no matter how smart they are. But then again someone that doesn't tolerate any mistakes that he makes will be living a rarthar hard life. Seems Seika isn't too keen on Kei's idea on stopping the time of a cat to save Masamune's parents though. Then again considering her love of cats i guess its to be expected. So Kei as a result of his foresight knew that Sumire would collasp then. Its true that until now Haruki only sought to learn from Kei but yet at the same time she didn't seek to understand him. Maybe now will be a good time to do that. So Haruki's request to Kei was that she wanted to see the memories of Kei to understand the kind of person that he was then. I think its nice that both now have the same memories though. Its nice to see Michiru again though. So Kei intends to make Sumire the second happiest person eh. I guess to Souma a future where she isn't the one with Kei will be a harsh one for her. Never expected that Souma will only let Kei save her if he passes her game though. The showdown between the two was a long time coming though. So the reason that Haruki decided to entrust the reset ability to Kei was due to Souma's death then.

To think that this was actually just a lie on Souma's part. Still one that was trying to help Kei though. So Souma had planned to let Haruki be more independent then and not rely on Kei too much then. With his new responsibilities i can see why Souma did this though. Haruki's ideal is a good one though as just being with him but not being able to help him will be a hard thing for Haruki. Wishing to be like Souma who always try to put Kei's interests in front makes a lot of sense. Its nice that in the end that Haruki and Sumire were able to have that honest talk and reach an understanding though. So all this time Souma was wishing for Kei to recongnise her and give her an identity then. Well i guess her wish came true. Well in the end at least Souma was convinced to stay and help Kei in his new role though. Well there will be a certain level of animosity between Haruki and Sumire i guess since they both have feelings for Kei. Its nice that Haruki now has all the memories of the past as well. Its nice that in the end Kei was able to both stop Masamune's plan and also save Souma and get her to help you. Saving the day and getting the girl now that is the best ending. And it looks like Kei's plan did end up saving Masamune's parents as well. Its nice that in the end we got to see what happened to the other characters as well.

--I really liked how we got INSERT Songs rather than a regular OP or ED, more screen time yay.
-- I really really liked OSt during Haruki Souma talk, that was so deep T_T
--I liked how Haruki remembered everything that happened through resets and cried T_T and she remembered the kiss and that she was happy yay, and for the second time she said she likes him ^^ that was pretty nice.
-- Cant believe, jsut cant believe they put another Kitkat ad. Overusing Kitkat ad :D David PRODUCTION
--Souma scenes were powerful, even if i didnt realize why the sudden change of heart compared to previous episode when she was in the train for example
--REALly really really liked Tsuki ga kirei reference by Kei.
--"I take my pride in remembering everything" very well said by Kei

Overall i just cant believe this anime is gone, i've been with it for 23 weeks, gonna feel a bit empty now i guess :( Second half was definitely better than the first one with Mcguffin and all, even if i didnt like lots of things in second half. Ending could've been better feel like the story isnt really over, but it doesnt feel like it wasnt totally completed, we closed in on many things. I liked how Kei chose Haruki over Souma but he said that Souma will always be number 2 and he said that he will convince Souma to agree being number 2

Special props to songs, they were great. Op 1,2. Ed 1,2. My favorite is ED 1 from those.

This anime was very special to me.

it was very different from what we've used to see. No blatant fanservice, overcliched archetypes, self-inserts, cheap romcom drama and the likes.

It was purely focused on the story, lore and actions of it's characters.

I think it's a great anime for introducing people to the anime world. Few modern anime can be seen by persons who have previously never seen an anime and/or have the mental image that all anime are shonens filled with action and ecchi.

Good morals
+You don't need to use violence to archieve your goals
+An Authoritarian system is flawed and corrupted just for being authoritarian
+Even if it's impossible, we still must try to archieve the best results
+Everyone is has it's own flaws, and that's natural

Nice development
+Final Villian isn't defeated by punching him, but reasoning with he and his allies.

And, this final episode: a duel between the two main heroines.

I loved this anime.

Caught up and finished it.

Initially my expectations were very keen low for this show and at the beginning I was somewhat right... but then as the episodes went by it got better which is, surprising considering the script writer's track record in recent times was pretty damn abysmal. But this seems really nice overall, not an amazing series, it still had problems with its own narrative but it somewhat made a bit more sense later on. I would give the score higher, but I think a 7/10 is alright for this.

The mixbag between a competent director and a shit script writer was an double edge sword... but man this one was pretty damn good.

@Zahylon

I noticed that Kei used more violence than any other character. He's also exchanging the previous system for something that's less organized and works practically the same, only with his name at the top instead. In my opinion, after everything we've seen, Kei is the real villain.

I wonder how many people thought about "why" these characters have each of their own specific abilities.
A quick example is Michiru and her dream world: I wonder why a bedridden, comatose girl would want to create her own world without limits. Many physicians will tell you that a person's drive to recover is the most important thing when it come to them actually recovering. But why would she want to get better if she has her ability to lean on?

Another is Murase and the ability to keep anything from touching her: I wonder why a girl that felt abandoned by the world would want to keep everyone and everything away from her. She always seems so socially crass/distant, yes? If she didn't have her ability to help her keep others away, wouldn't she be more likely to let others in? Oh, but look, let's go ahead and have Kei push her in the opposite direction and make the act of touching another person become a trauma.

I can't really guess at Souma's situation, since she has had her ability basically since birth, but it should be blatantly obvious to anyone paying attention that her ability has been nothing but a hindrance to her for her entire life so far.

I could keep going with this speculation, but my point is that these abilities were only hindering the people that had them and not only did Kei decide to keep it this way in spite of all that he's personally witnessed, he pushed them farther in the opposite direction of stability. He'll always be the antagonist to me.

Uh... that's it? Lol I'm not sure how I feel about the ending tbh. Ki
How... did MC convince her to be his 2nd again?

Kinda feel unsatisfied. Wanted more proper closure to it.

Overall, it was an okay anime to watch. And sometimes a chore to get through. Really hated the sense of foreboding the anime tend to give in every episode. The narration could've been a bit better to understand. And finally, the characters needed to appear more human like instead of wearing poker face all the times. Yeah, it could've been better if it was more engaging. But I wonder if the story or dialogues demands such stoic characters like that.

Anyways, with all things said and done, it was a decent watch. The way everything connects at the end of an arc was nice. But I doubt if I should recommend it to someone or not, haha.

That was a great finale, it wasn't exciting, but it was very emotional and gave closure. I'm glad to have enjoyed every episode in this series, although I can see how it may have been a grueling watch for some. I can also see how the robotic-like characters could have driven people away. It's definitely true that the characters' expressions could've been more animated, especially all the other sub-characters. Haruki is understandable, and as for Kei, it's because he's always so in control of himself. Just my two cents, but I think the director's choice for everyone to not be super animated could be because the emotional scenes would be emphasized and be more impactful towards the end of the series. Of course I'm thinking of Souma, Kei, and Haruki, but also when Urachi crinkled his face in anger and irritation last episode. I can still see it, because it was the one moment when Urachi didn't have a relaxed expression or didn't have a smug smile on his face.

As for the way Kei handled things throughout the series, especially cornering people the way he did with Murase, it definitely makes him more like a villain than a hero...contradictory to what was said this episode by 2 people. Pushing his ideals onto others, when his ideals aren't necessarily the best, it's a big part of what makes Kei an interesting character. You don't have to like him as person, but you can find him interesting to watch. Although for a lot of people, including me most of the time, not liking the main character(s) can make a series hard to continue watching due to the lack of connection. I personally like Kei's ideals. While I agree with Urachi that the abilities are not needed for all the reasons he explained, I like Kei's reasoning for why abilities should continue existing more. Just like how Kei said he likes the abilities. Kei's not wrong either for his ideals, and in the interest of maybe most people in Sakurada, not having abilities would be easier. It's one less thing to complicate people's lives. Whichever side the watcher may take, I think it's refreshing to see how both Kei and Urachi have acknowledged that each other may be right. They're both stubborn, but both are willing to admit that the other side has made valid points. I was intrigued that in the end, the most important person to persuade was someone else.

The main reason why Sakurada Reset has made such a deep impression on me is probably also a big reason why people dropped the series in the beginning: the conversations. It may seem like trivial conversations half of the time, but I think they're fun and stimulating. For example, the "silly [pointless] talk" between Haruki and Nono, it was still a conversation that was thought-provoking. Also the several thought experiments mentioned throughout the series, I think they're even more fun outside of learning them in philosophy class. My mom saw me watching this, and wondered why I kept pausing to think, or going back a few seconds, I was so engrossed in the content and didn't even realize I was doing that. Anyways, I don't always find dialogue heavy series entertaining, but Sakurada Reset works for me. It just might not work for everyone, and that's fine.

There's a lot more reasons why I kept looking forward to watching the series each week so much, but I'd really just be rambling. There's obviously room for improvement, but it was still one of the most memorable show for me so far this year.

after the end of the main plot last episode, we are presented with an episode that makes Soma stop being depressed just cause Kei told her she is the real one and even if she isn't, he'll believe she is. cliched ending but not bad. overall, the show was pretty nice. it had some problems in pacing and having a trio of kuuderes as the main cast made it feel odd. i think the main problem was the show was the execution as it had a really promising premise. overall, i'd say a 7.5/10 just cause i can't get enough of time loop anime. i still liked the philosophical thinking found in most episodes in the second half but Mr Exposition, Kei, always removes one part of how good they are. on terms of recommending it to someone else, if you are looking for a time travel anime with some philosophical dialogue and some nice scenery, i'd recommend it. if you are looking for interesting characters with different personalities, good action, low amount of dialogue, i'd tell you to skip it

This has honestly been a weird anime for me. On one hand you don't have all the annoying tropes that most anime fall into, but on the other you've got flat lifeless characters that only somewhat get built up over the course of the story.

The visuals and sound are amazing, and the overarching themes and episodic story are good, but the deliveries are very convoluted and philosophical by nature, which might have worked had the characters not been 'robots' and slaves to their ideals and flaws, and blatantly stating them too. At least this had a proper ending that completed the story hooks of Kei's defeat of the Bureau and ideal of controlling all abilities and his relationship with Souma and Haruki.

Some episodes I feel will not follow very well one after another, due to the odd choices for the content of each episode (like the marble girl for example early on) but definitely improved at the Dream world arc.

Overall: 7/10

Well said, @tingy .

@Blue_Pie_Ninja , thanks for reminding me of the girl that can get stuck in reflections! I think that's the only instance where they tried to figure out "why" people have the specific abilities that they do. If her episode served no other purpose than that, it would be a good enough reason to include it. At least in my opinion.

That was one of my points towards Kei being the antagonist, so it was relevant to me.

A bit slow and confusing start and I didn't really like the characters at first. Very robotic and monotone but maybe there was a reason for that. I think I should re-watch this to understand better.

Glad that I kept watching though because the last two arcs were worth it.

Well, the start was indeed mediocre, but the story kept improving till the end and I gotta say that the last arc was pretty great.

And this episode nicely wrapped up what was between the main cast from the very beginning.

The end is kinda awkward. Since the Bureau isn't the real deal, the story feels kind of losing it's "pulse".

It was a good epilogue. The start was interesting then felt mediocre as it the episode passed by, until it reached the second half, which picked again my interest, especially the last arc. Just got problem with too much somber atmosphere made the pacing slow for me, overall the show is good.
