Nono not feeling too well hmm?

Felt like Takeru was trying to escape a nightmare this episode. I felt kinda bad for him. That Arimura girl also got scared to hell.

Awful, absolutely awful episode. Ridiculously rushed and way, way too casual about the fact that they're both Gigalomaniacs. Mind you, it definitely wasn't helped by the massive info dump that does nothing to endear the concept to me whatsoever.

That was a good info dump episode, I always like understanding how things work. xD

For anyone wondering, the terminal that Kunosato mentions which is used by Gigalomaniacs to interact with the Dirac sea are the Di-Swords that were in Chaos;Head. You can also notice that when Takuru and Arimura were fighting the girl, Takuru kind of manifested the Di-Sword when he deflected her Pyrokinesis attack.

I pretty much understand the working principle of the whole perceiving delusions as reality, the explanation was really easy to follow but they kinda skipped the most important part. Kunosato simply states that the delusions created by Gigalomaniacs can affect physical reality but never explains how the physical manifestation actually takes place after the delusion is perceived as 'real'. I'm not entirely sure on this but I think it's something regarding how the collective recognition of the reality results in the antiparticles and particles forming the actual substance.

Well that aside, Kurusu know the girl from the hospital and even knew about the things happening at the hospital. :o
I actually thought the police guy was gonna die at the end. xD

Nice episode explaining things a bit more overall as well as some nice characterization and reveals

Looking forward to seeing what happens next from here as well as learning more about Taku's power and Di-Sword

And I too thought that the police guy was going to die just like the guy in CH lol @Lelouch0202

Today I finish 2nd route and when I watch this I only feel disappointed, it feel so rush.
Of course they do cover some part that's are in VN just make it different so they can rush it.
Instead of Takuru and Nono finding Uki, seem like Shinjou found her instead.
OMG I wonder how this anime going to be follow, like chaos;head is going bad.

Why didn't they put up that scene when Arimura show of her Di-sword , that scene with psychokinesis weren't all that bad but I guess is okay.

The adaptation of Head is bad because they changed the essence to the original work by turning it into a shonen, here the essence remains exactly the same to the game. The adaptation suffers the same as ALL other adaptations including Stein; Gate, skip many things

And this is when whole show crumbled like pile of cards... in this episode they were just shut down the mystery and push trainwreck running with all their might.

Now, I put aside that I still don't approve what Mio did to Uki, I get no characters need to be likeable and she isn't such. I don't mind Uki's character was just annoying from the beginning to the end.

I'm also a little bit ill-tempered about how conveniently he was infodumped about his special powers (never mentioning Onoe next to him at all). Plot of convenience seems to be something we should be probably getting used to with the current series even though the mystery in Chaos;Child was done a lot better and in more logical way (that or Silver Link is only failing in their adaptation by skipping important parts and cramming every event together). Also, Mio's character is almost a copy-paste of Sena from Chaos;Head (so much for originality).

Even the explanation how gigalomanics works was fundamentally wrong (someone didn't do their job well in Silver Link and utterly misunderstood how it works). There is no blind spot in someone's brain, there is blind spot in one's eye and that's the place where gigalomanics are sending their delusions. They are basically affecting perception senses. And if they send their delusions to all people in vicinity their ilusory (and even other) delusions becomes shared recognition and therefore real (this one was mostly correct although they are just using perceptory or auditory imperfections to create such reality in blank space). Not to mention they NEED di-swords to actually draw any the energy from Dirac sea to real-boot anything (they didn't mentioned this at all). Mere delusions CAN'T do this and are only percieved by gigalomaniacs themselves as errors.

Anyway, whole this theory seems nice until you try to apply real quantum physics and its rule when it shows it really makes no sense so don't think much about it.

Grown-up Serika attacking them with fire was just over the top nonsense that was ass-pulled there. Arimura and Takeru being magically able to materialize their di-swords to stike back was just another plot convenience and it came out of nowhere (even though I know they were put in the danger for precisely that as it was probably arranged and staged).

Now, Onoe really didn't felt suspicious after she talked with Nono and lured him out to see all those stickers outside (*irony*), something is fishy here.

Crying Nono forcefully inducing sympathy in the end was just ultimate cringe-fest as it's obvious she's just pulling their legs.

And MC's ending words to Arimura:

Honestly, I don't know if I can trust you, you are not bad person but I want to ask you, you are not my enemy, right? Somebody I care won't die because of you, right?

...was just ultimately worst dialogue sentence I have seen in anime in ages.. o_O Like you would actually ask something like that, you would be better off with an insult (not that you can actually reply anything decent to this and it only shows how utterly naive and stupid MC has to be to say something like this).

Serika is pretty suspicious after this episode. She asked Takeru to go see Nono, and she did something with her cell phone strap where just just squeezed it right before she left...idk if that was a trigger to something or what but it seemed strange that things pop off as soon as she leaves his place.
I don't think the Fire lady is Serika though, they have different color hair and eyes. It might be Senri, even though the fire lady looked a lot older.

Things got pretty serious during that Fire fight though, and the Di-Swords came back, thats cool.

It's typical engrish, Chaos;Head had the same motto back then. They just shortened word 'paranoid' although they are actually talking about 'delusions' in that sentence.

The same applies to Di-Swords - that is shortened 'Dirac Swords' although in Japanese it reads the same as 'disorder'' (which I believe is their intention as it bears many interesting parallels there).

Well, they had never mentioned true purpose of ゲロカエルん (gero-froggies) in Chaos;Head other than that Shibuya's GE-rate is rapidly increasing over weekend everytime they starts selling a new one during Friday so I think they will utilize it here. I believe all gero-frogies actually works as portable Noah transmitter.

I wouldn't try to understand too hard what that says. It's a recurring thing in all the Science Adventure works and not a single one has been grammatically correct so we have to do our best to make sense of it. Tbh I just consider these little excerpts to read and get a wtf laugh from

The encounter with the pyromaniac ESPer was rather exciting. A bit too much so for Arimura... Still, given the location and everything involved, it even gave me the shivers.

A little refresher regarding the nature of Gigalomaniacs was a welcome addition, as I couldn't quite recall the underlying concept from Chaos;Head.

That was a decent rehash of the ChäoS;HEAd exposition (though arbitrarily ham-fisted in an odd spot). However it's flaw is that it's still in Schrödinger territory, meaning it's implying that there is no objective reality, however this is false. Their theory behind the Gigalomaniacs would have to be inaccurate, with the reality of it being more sophisticated - a domino effect of dielectric permittivity catalyzed by specialized brain waves, with enough coherency (due to it being chained through multiple minds to signal boost it) to directly manipulate environmental energy (incl. matter) in the vicinity. In other words it's old fashioned telekinesis, as in magnetic force and acceleration but in a complex manner to influence environmental inertia.

They're not always able to cause real effects, so the byproduct is delusions that don't actually happen. Ofc this can be done intentionally too.

Restated: the in-universe theory of delusions being booted into reality via mass blind-spot injection is a false one, but that doesn't mean the effects are impossible in reality. They're still more possible than violating continuum for the sake of "time travel".

Frog strap too suspicious, Serika.
Big infodump was ok, but didn't clarify if how antiparticles become real particles/telekinesis. Ok, dirac sea otherworld, disword terminal connects two worlds somehow.

They didn't explain it because the writers don't know how, because if they did it would be happening in the real world too. It can't be interpolated with particle physics.

I don't think they really need to explain 100% everything precisely. As the last episodes went, I'm sure they will explain more of what happened in the next ones. The adaptation moves at ok speed judging by the comments I've seen of some people that played the VN.

But I agree the characters are meh and I'm not a big fan of the D-sword thingies, but at least here they are definitely handled better than C;H.

Is it just me or did Di-Swords and Gigalomaniacs not work like this from before?
In C;H all of them only had a single power which was to send their delusions to others and real boot it into reality right?

Why are they starting to have extremely specific powers like opening locks, mind reading and setting things on fire? All of the Gigalomaniacs should be able to do the same things.
In fact how does delusions help with mind reading unless the user is rewriting all of the other party's history to fit their expectations/delusions.

Honestly really liked ChaoS;Head with their delusions and real booting but Child the bullet train seems to be falling apart here.

By the way why didn't Takumi and friends restore Shibuya after the destruction of Noah II? It should be possible for them no?

First of all i really started to like the opening. Listening to it on repeat for the second night in a row. Itou Kanako is great.

This anime is pretty logical: during the explanation of how mediums work mainchar ask literally same questions that i had in my mind.
