I can't believe the ratings. Seriously. The best mark for this anime, in my point of view, should be 7. It wasn't very good. The fact that they wasted 2 episodes on a supporting character reinforces my statement.

I gave it a 6. It was decent.

I understand your point but I feel this anime deserves some credit for putting a lot of focus on the characters by producing situations that you don't see all the time.

That was a very satisfying ending to this above average romance. ^_^

Oh my god, I was so upset about that fire incident, I jumped and broke the chair. But it had a good ending (albeit a bit rushed and the twins get together, ew). A great series nonetheless.

So I give this an 8/10.

LoL? There absolutely not a tiny sign in the 13 eps that somethings goes on between the twins... Thats what they call brotherly love... Nothing happened to give us other ideas... The fact that they were holding hands in the end doesnt say anything...lol

The ending itself wasn't too bad, but it felt incredibly rushed. I started watching, and almost nothing happened until the middle of the episode. And a 10 year time jump was kinda pushing it.

The series as a whole wasn't too bad. The first episode was a big piece of crap(i actually considered dropping it after one episode), but afterwards it became quite enjoyable.

A pretty good final episode. I wasn't too impressed by the whole series, but this episode had it's moments. For the whole series, a 7

Well now, i actually ended up liking this episode more than i thought i would, even if only because we finally got to learn something about their pasts. A shame it came so late, because Sana's revelations didn't have the time to play any actual importance. Still it is better than nothing.

Nanaka's past did surprise me a bit, as i was not expecting her "father" to be the arsonist ... i don't really understand why Nanaka's mother ended up marrying the guy if she had a relationship with the violin teacher though (unless it was a one night stand or something along the lines) ... perhaps i missed something due to lack of subs, but the situation does not make that much of a sense for me, at least for the moment.

Sana's past was rushed as expected, but now we indeed know that the watch covers up the wound on his wrist and he moved back to this town to get some peace of mind. Overall while the revelations are too little, too late i still enjoyed the first part of this episode for the material it covered and didn't mind the lack of focus on anything else.

I am less than impressed with the timeskip though ... while it offered somewhat of a closure (more like a glimpse of the cast's future), it all felt very uninspired and i can't say i was interested all that much. Sana proposed to Nanaka, but much like with his revelations abut him having cut his wrists - the direct aftermath is cut short, taking away the potentially most interesting part and reducing the even to basically "oh, by the way - Sana proposed and she accepted. Good for them, isn't it ?"

Shuu and Shuri, still together after all these years, huh. The twincest is strong in this one... ^^ not like i mind, as their dynamic was arguably one of the best things this show had to offer, even though it didn't have much of a time to shine.

Nothing much to say about Aoi, Asami and Hinako (aside from the later looking rather nice though ^^) - their appearances had little above cameo value.

Overall i can't say the timeskip part did anything for me - it failed to invoke anything in me and lacked any real sense of fulfillment ... which is how i generally feel about this series - its had its moments, but overall a somewhat boring and unrewarding experience. I realize they were out of time and this was among the only options to introduce some decent "closure" to the characters involved, but that isn't anyone's fault but the writer's and the short timeskip seemed more like a quickly thrown together "oh, by the way - this happened" than anything meaningful.

I still liked the last episode somewhat, but i can't say too much positive about the show overall ... Hinako episodes was the best thing it had to offer, Shuu and Shuri dynamics being the second (and last) noteworthy mention. A through mediocrity that ultimately falls in to the "fire and forget" bin. I don't regret watching it, but it is not something that would stick to my mind as anything above yet another entry on my anime list.

Score: 6

2) This ending was so Cliché and obvious. The whole time I was hoping and even posting theories that the Sana's "mystery" was something else because the whole "cutting your wrists" thing seemed way to obvious and way to over done. It turns out I was wrong and story writers have lost the skill of making an original surprising ending. I have to admit though, they conveniently linked it all together nicely. I give them props for that at the very least.

Pretty much. From the beginning to the end, I was already predicting what was going to happen - like it was obvious Nanaka would try to kill herself, or it was obvious whose concert it was for. And when I saw the timeskip, I had an inkling Sana would propose - and that he did! I think the only part that surprised me was the whole Nanae/Sakuraba affair thing. Wasn't expecting that but even that wasn't a big surprise.

And hang on, if Shuu and Shuri came back on screen, why oh why were they not given some lines of reunion or something? D:

Let me begin with this...episode 13 would have somewhat redeemed this anime if it wasn't for the badly placed time skip. I mean what the hell, we have Sana pouring his heart out to Nanaka then its 10 years later...wtf is that?

Looks like they delayed Sana's story to the end because he didn't have much of a story to begin with. Oh poor wuss kid getting bullied then he goes and slits his wrist...not much of a story there and it could have been executed way better. Of course his watch had no significance other than hiding his shame, no more conspiracy theories there.

Never expected Nanaka to be the an illegitimate love child, insert plot twist here. The whole fire thing is just so misleading...you tell me a synthetic hair wrap will burn faster than the actual hair? Then of course ep13 proves that Nanaka is an idiot...who the hell heads UP THE STAIRS when there is a fire downstairs? Of course I'll give her the benefit of the doubt given she just saw something very emotionally disturbing...but cmon now!

Well looks like M;Y has some twincest in it...I doubt 20 year old + people would be holding hands like that if they weren't in some sort of relationship. Hanako is still sporting a washboard, Aoi grew another cup size, Nanaka grew 2 cup sizes, and there was a character named Asami!?

They should have skipped the opening and ending theme and used the 3:00! to add some more screen time. This is usually a common tactic to add as much content as possible in an episode, especially during the last one. Having both the op and the ed just plain shows that M;Y ran out of any viable material to show, hell that time skip seems suspicious. Three minutes is a lot of time to add more content, hell that epilogue in itself is just a waste of space. I would have preferred seeing the op play as the gang is reunited before/after the performance, then fade into the epilogue. Although the lack of any content/creativity on the studio's part prevented something so simple from happening.

This is a pretty decent final episode...for the first half...the second half was just completely unecessary. The time skip transition could have been done better, the whole anime in general could have been done better.

I'm usually not very critical when it comes to my anime...but the first couple of Myself;Yourself showed much promise. I thought it would actually turn out to be great, had very high hopes for this anime. Just goes to show you that you shouldn't be misled by first impressions, great example of this is ef a tale of memories.

This is definitely one of those shows that won't leave any impression on you whatsoever, forgetting about it as soon as another show comes up. To those who enjoyed this story, good for you. To those who didn't, lots more out there that have been executed better.

Memorable Episode Moment:

Aoi disappeared for half the episode...you would think that a friend would visit their friend in trouble ne? Maybe Sana was just too much of a dick not to tell her? Maybe Aoi just didn't care that her childhood friend was going through emotional turmoil right now? They sure are a tight-knit group....

I agree with everyone that has said it would have been interesting to see more of the relationship development between Nanaka and Sana (but then again I'm a total romantic ^_^")
Now that I think about it it does seem quite rushed...26 eps would have been awesome! But still- Myself; Yourself was a good watch.

I guessed there would be black blood ^^...but it doesn't bother me at all though I didn't thought it was blood at first glance
The ending was a bit abrupt in my opinion.
Nevertheless overall it was a good series.

It was nice to see the future in the end so probably there won't be a second season :(

Ok, somehow good ending - but after 10 years, didn't see that coming I must admit.
Twenty year old Hinako dating... 5 year younger kid, oh the irony :)
And they didn't show us twins faces, because of the same reasons they colored blood black: self-censorship. As it is now, everyone still know it's them, but noone can't do a shitstorm accusing them of incest promoting :/

I thought this episode would be rushed and crappy but it wasn't, more likely very clearing and nice. I loved the ending though I wanted to see the twins' faces (they looked exactly the same from behind as before). I was really glad that Nanaka and Sana got engaged.

Good ending though I'm kinda sad it's over already.

I started both this and Clannad at the same time. It was upsetting to find out that I would be continuing Clannad without this. The ending was ok. I would've like to see that Shuuske and Shuuri were holding onto someone else's hands after ten years. I understand the whole sibling bond thing, but it's a little creepy after all that time. Like many others, the black blood was annoying and actually confused me at first. After watching so many fantasy animes, it almost seemed like an evil force was surrounding their wrist or something. Nonetheless, it was an overall good series and I am satisfied with it. It's not one that I'm going to look back on and wish that the time I spent watching it could've been spent finding a good one.

Wow some heated responses in there.

Mine will be short.

I think the writers had something so grandiose in their minds and started off thinking they were going to be able to go so far with the story that they went with that initial feeling. Then around the eighth to ninth episode they realised just how little time they had left to cram everything in. Which is where they started to put far too much into too little time and in doing so not so much ruined the story but let down their original hopes for the anime.

I still give it an 8/10 due to how it started, there was quite a lot of potential for the story and I really liked where they were going with it, the animation was also really good but that's only expected of modern anime. The only let down was the shortness of the series and the rushed ending. Overall though it is still something I enjoyed watching.

anyways, the seriest did feel a bit rushed to me.. and the offscreen marriage proposal + the "10 years later" old teacher giving candies + the yeti-kun girl not becoming a slut but ending up dating(?) someone 5 years younger than her (her brother? idk wtf w/e) + random old lady who killed the kitty = EQUALS a 7/10. mleh. cant say much else...

so much wasted potential.. but i'll still convince myself i liked it a lot.

liked nanaka's story tho. sana's was kinda lame, buut who was really paying attn to that letdown anyways? blehk`. btw. dont Sana and Itou look like twins?*rewatches School Days*

Ended so perfectly. All the questions were finally answered. It was actually Nanaka's father who caused the fire, not the uncle. They both keep such long grey hairs.

I really love the final outcome with everything being worked out so well. Sadly there was no concert but really, the stroyline is just amazing. Nanaka and Sana are really meant for each other.

Hmmm... I wonder.. the twins? lovers? That would be my guess.

Also, Asami's lil' cousin is going out with Hinako?! The little Youta that used to hide behind Hinako's dress is now a man. I surely wasn't expecting that!

I would give Myself; Yourself an 8/10. The ending was a bit rushed but nevertheless, the rest of the series was interesting and full of surprises in the plot turns. It would've been great if there was probably 26 episodes instead of 13.

I was really loving this series but I do feel kind of let down. Great story, just wasn't told as good as it could have been.

Just one thing, black blood? WHO CARES! Get over it.

Yeah this series was good but hasn't left a mark like School Days did (Now that was a good Anime! I don't think anything will make a mark like School Days did...).

To tell the truth, I found the ending a bit dissappointing. The story was fairly powerful up to then, but the end just seemed... weak. I mean Sana and Nanaka get engaged, the twins come back to town and all, it should have been very up-beat, but I just didn't feel any real happiness.

I must say the last few episodes were kinda rushed but being a short anime as it is i suppose it was satisfactory. But there were a bunch of good ideas with this anime so if the producer had apted to make this anime a bit longer they could`ve the character story and development enough to make it a whole lot better just with a few extra episodes. Oh well i had a good run with this anime so kudos to all of the people who watched this

It seemed a bit rushed ending. I mean they completely ignored twins part. Ok they run but it was like directors realized 'hey we don't have more budged/time for more eps so we're going to show their hands only, with 10 yers old bracelets in, final ep'. What was that? Honestly I wanted to see their faces at least!

After all I'm quite satisfied, however dark blood is annoying, all actual shows have dark blood? This anime was touching some interesting topics and surprised me almost in every ep. But even in final ep I found Aoi voice annoying >.<

it was an ok episode, it was really obvious that sana's wristwatch was to cover up his wrist, thank goodness i didn't change my thinking... though, i didn't expect nanaka's father to be the one burning the house... wtf, i didn't even know he had a ponytail.

the story was linked nicely, but seriously, what the hell is hinako dating that little kid... you'd have thought he went for sana after he kissed him in the cheek.. oh well.

shuu and shuri.. well, besides holding hands and living together for 10 years.... i dont think they are da... no, i take that back, they are so in a romantic relationship... holding hands for that long is just wrong, i dont think brothers and sisters would ever do such a thing... for THAT long.

aoi and hoshino... well, aoi was pretty much... ok, her voice annoyed me a lot though. hoshino, i liked how she looked in the end, i guess she overcame her hate for herself after sana told her how the real her aws... and well.. it was ok.

nanaka and sana... well, i am starting my sentences with well.. so well... it seems like their relationship improved a lot in 10 years, she accepted, and they are going to marry...

i wonder what happened to nanaka's scar... anyways, she looked really cute... and she finally finished the song 10 years after she saw sana back.. what a promise...

anyways, i will give this an 8 because it at least kept me entertained, and the story was nice... i didn't like the pacing, but the characters were awesome... except shuu and shuri's twincest... shuri was cute on her own...

Like many others, I agree the episode felt rushed. The general feel of the last two eps gave a little (actually, a big) emo feel to it...which was...depressing... to say the least.
It was a good ending, just not the best ending. It could have been more upbeat/cheerful.
However it was good to see in the end Sana and Nanaka finally get together...
I love those "fast forwards" showing the characters a few years later...

As for me, a solid 8/10! Took me ages to finish but was worth it in the end!

Too bad this episode was rushed, the direction suddenly dropped in the last two episodes and the ending lacked emotion... It could have been an excellent drama/romance show (and it was until the last two episodes) but it's just a very good one for me : 8/10.
