Ah, gotcha. It kinda threw me because back in the day I was a complete nut for Animayhem. I used to teach the game to people, consign cards, ran a tourney once...anyway, I was into it. I thought I was familiar with every card, but I've never seen that one, and the only card I know to have existed from Ah My Goddess was a promo character card called "Young Belldandy".
These days they just sit around and collect dust, but I take them out every now and then because the developers were thoughful enough to create solitiare rules :)
I noticed your profile while looking over some reviews....I had to say hello based on one thing. The fact that you have an Animayhem card as your profile pic, heh. Do you just like the character, or did you actually have an interest in it, back in the day? I used to run tournaments for it, so...nice to see, I guess.
I have to say...though I clearly know of a card for Young Belldandy, I don't remember a card like the one you have up there. Is that a photoshop job?
I just finished watching Chokotto sister and I had a few questions I was hoping you could answer. They're actually questions about the manga though, since I know you've read a bit of that.
1. Is Yurika in the manga? If she is, does she have a purpose? Like...any purpose at all. It doesn't have to be meaningful.
2. Were the events of episode 23 filler, or does that happen in the manga too? I'm guessing this was an anime only ending type thing but I'm not sure.
3. Is Midori in the manga? She seemed like she might have another role at some point based on how much the anime focused on her the few times she showed up, so I'm not sure if she was just a filler character or if her role was cut short in the anime.
Basically I'm curious about the manga since I'm going to pick it up whenever it gets completely scanlated. While I enjoyed the anime well enough, I'm obviously going to have to read the manga to get the whole story.
Seriously, the only thing good about about Voices of a Distant Star is that it is short. Otherwise => Apocalypse.
We get this emo crying characters, that are smsing each other while the girl is on some sort of mecha mission to defend the world against alien invasion, (or on the contrary to invade the aliens herself, didn't quite understand nor wanted to) which is like the most stupid idea ever, but I'm guessing you know my position on mecha so I won't go in it any further.
So she's like smsing her ex-boyfriend, who's the most unrealistic guy ever, there was like more then 10 years since he saw her, but instead of getting another girlfriend or something, he's like 24 or more, waiting for her email "Oh my, now I can please myself again over one line of text that she typed to me, because I'm supposed to be so dramatic (read: emo), and I make my heart hard so basically I'm a lifeless little dick (pardon my French). I wonder what his parents think, "Oh my, we grew up a loser, hooray!".
Right, back on the subject, so this girl is like longing for a big pulsing male organ and I'm sure you can guess which one, and that's understandable since there is nothing but cold machines near her.. (I wonder if her cell got a vibrator, but I'm getting off subject again..) Which reminds me; Where the fuck are all the other pilots?! It's like she's alone in the cabin of her mecha 24/7, makes no sense. Shouldn't she like socialize with other pilots? Even the most stupid mecha shows show some sort of socializing between pilots, but here, she's like locked in there all the time.. 10 years or more in one small room, no wonder she's acting like a 15 years old wrist cutting unstable skank with her hair dried in pink. Why doesn't she email her family anyway? Is she an orphan or something? She emails this not-even-boyfriend of hers for 10 years like he gives a damn, if he wasn't such an unrealistic character he would have got married by now.
Now how does the show ends? It doesn't, it's like "yeah the fleet won the attack on the planet "who-gives-a-flying-f"", and then the episode just... ends.
But thanks God you know, I don't think I would have handled another episode of this cloaca like entity, that is this show.
Oh yeah, one more thing, did I say that flying giant robots suck? "Oh my God, look at me, I pilot a big humanoid robot", Jesus Christ sometimes I wish I was blind.
Yeah it was great stuff Crest of Stars, loved the relationship between Lafiel and Jinto and Ayako Kawasumi was great as Lafiel and you gotta love Read Admiral Spoor, hope to see more of her! I'll be watching the 2 Banner series and OVA for sure after I finish Fate Stay night and Kurau (more Kawasumi goodness). Though I might check out the first episode today to see the situation for that series.
:D No, it's not it. I had a lot of hentai titles back when we had a very high compatibility too. Besides, Hajime doesn't have any hentai titles in his list as well, and my compatibility with him is high (76.8%). Strange..
Yep, that's the one I meant. However, what's this about a robot?

Oh, hey, there's really a robot there. Three of them. Didn't...see that, last time. If it's a super robot show then I'll definitely check it out. lol I guess I'll throw it into the pile with the other several hundred anime I plan to watch eventually.
Thank you, especially for mentioning that there's robots in there. :P

Thanks for answering those questions.
