| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Good episode overall with the buildup as Chaika's new friend becomes a centerpiece to this arc and the tournament. Kinda curious to see how this will turn out in the end. Alveric Gillett is also revealed to be alive although that doesn't surprise me this episode. |

I am looking forward to his reunion with Vivi but it won't go smoothly considering his amnesia and her new appearance. Certainly an interesting episode even if it was mostly setup. Honestly going off last week's preview I was expecting Chaika to get kidnapped at the end by Niva, but it didn't happen so that's good anyway. |

| That was quite interesting with the tournament. Gillette being alive after being saved by Guy. Those two Guys behind him and controlling the soldiers to act as his shield. Niva willing to follow Guy to somewhere. Interesting how Guy would use Niva. |

| I'm thinking Guy is some sort of avatar that Gaz made for himself, and once he has all the body parts together with Niva, he can basically rematerialize or something like that. Just a wild guess on my part. In any case, the Guy is extremely annoying and I hope he ends up being hit on the head with Akari's war hammer or eaten by Fredrica. I loved it when Akari broke up the conversation between Chaika and her oni-sama. It never get's old. |

| Gillette was officially revealed to be alive back in episode 3, so it doesn't really come as a surprise. This episode was more of a set up episode but it was a great one! Gillette got some development, Guy got to be more mysterious, and the Chaika-Niva conversation like the one between the two Chaika last episode was awesome. It's also important to note that all of the remains are now in the same place, along with a very powerful Gundo... |

| Okay, that's it. I'm watching ep 7 when it comes out and then waiting for 8, 9 & 10 to watch them in a row. We all knew that Guy is the bad guy of this show. He's starting to make his move now. NEED MOAR FREDRICA!! AND MORE CHAIKA-SPEAK. Too bad Guy took Niva. Vivi and Red Chaika really need to chill out. |

| Akari's interruption between Toru and Chaika's intimate moments are always hilarious! Toru X Chaika will never happen as long as she's around. XD Damn. Gillette changed quite a lot; almost like a new person. Pretty sure his memories have been altered after Guy saved him. Did I just see a glimpse of the blue Chaika? What might she be doing here? O.o Niva is such a casual betrayer; leaving Chaika's side and associating herself with Guy now. Why? I have a feeling Guy is actually a bad guy.. Good episode. Frederica needs some spotlights. It'd be fun seeing her battle in her Dragoon mode. |

| Fast paced even as a setup episode, but did a lot of good things. Best part was Red Chaika development. It's clear her resolve is starting to waver since finding out the truth, and now she's starting to care more about her companions. Depending on how it's handled, that could be a very good resolution for her to let go of her revenge and drop her mission and just be with her friends. Which could serve as a nice parallel for Chaika's resolution once she sorts her feelings out and gets to to the very bottom of things. Also really liked the fleshing out of Gillette with Guy giving structure to the development we saw him go through at the end of season one and progressing his character potential. |

| This is probably going to be an epic last few episodes. We get some significant Gillete screen time. Find out he has amnesia after the blast and he's kind of a dick now. It's probably not going to go well when him and Vivi see each other again. So Guy has completely established himself as the villain now, and he has the ability to make Niva listen to him. I mean, she did go with him voluntarily, but she only would do that if it was Chaika or something significantly close to Gaz. I originally thought that Chaika's mission was going to be to gather the remains, and then something would happen where she would be sacrificed to re-summon Gaz. Now it looks like Guy knows exactly what's going on, and perhaps now all of the emperor's remains need to be given to Niva and she'll cause massive destruction. This is probably the only episode where we know that Akari has worn panties. Looks like next week Toru and Akari face their old mentor. That'll be a kickass fight. |

Guy taking Niva away comes as no surprise, he wouldn't have led them to the island for no reason. He's had his own motives since the very beginning, that was obvious even back in his first appearance in season one. He's another of Gaz's tools, probably one of the main players in the plans Gaz left behind. I don't know if I can get behind these theories that he's a soul form of Gaz, or whatever; but I do have a feeling that he and Niva will try to use all of the remains for some mass destruction kind of shit. That seems rather obvious, though we all know that it isn't going to go well for him at all. Gillette's old team still seem to be stuck on that whole "Chaika will start war" BS, it should be obvious by now that she has no such intention. With Vivi morphing into a Chaika you would think that they'd put a little more thought into what's actually going on, their ignorance is really annoying. All in all, this season has not been as good as season one IMO. Season one had this excitement and tension to it that I'm not feeling from this season, at this point I'm only watching because I want to see how they resolve this crap with only 4 episodes left. |
