| Had to facepalm at Lenessia lol, answering to Akatsuki's questions and all that without actually realising it.. Souji and that "murder him" face. Unfortunately, Nao and Shiroe have problems of their own.. Akatsuki, Souji, Shiroe and Nao all dead. Looking forward to the conversation between Shiroe and Akatsuki after dying. |

| Except that they lose a certain amount of their memories so dying a number of times is definitely a bad thing. And as some folks have said: "The game is changing," so the fact that up until now adventurers have been reviving doesn't guarantee that will continue forever. Every time they die there is a chance that it might be something other than what has happened before. It looks like next episode might answer a few questions on that. As for the serial killer, it strikes me as somewhat convenient that he appears and causes a crisis just as Shiroe is attacking the financial system that is controlled by the clan whose member stole the Royal Guard's armor. Yep, sure is a coincidence there... |

| Damn Shiroe and Akatsuki death :(. Feeling pretty sad just because of the memory loss. Didn't think it would be enough to make me care about characters dying. But it is even thought they will come back. For some reason I hate that samurai murderer dude..... In any case, Akatsuki's death was really touching and sad. Very well executed scene. Even knowing that death doesn't mean that they will disappear forever. It made me sad.... more sad than all the In any case (x2) the Kunie clan reminds me of the Jews... every time the representative dude goes on screen and the whole financial rule of theirs sounds too much like the ultra-rich banker Jewish families (Rothschilds, Rockefellers etc) Of course I suspect the whole Royal Guard armour theft was their job aimed at harassing the adventurers which are facing trouble even without harassing. They might be trying to get them to escape Akihibara even! Because dat foreshadowing. In any case, I think the reason the representative told Lenessia about it was because he knew that she won't tell the adventurers (too scared/shy to do it) and after the fact the adventurers will find out that she knew the whole truth but didn't tell them creating conflict between the adventurers and the people of the land. | This episode was intense, now we know why Shiroe and Akatsuki are together when it was shown on the first episode. Cannot wait to see how they are going to the defeat the killer! |

| So one of the Royal Guards (Defenders) went crazy and started using his power to kill adventurers. Wonder why the other Defenders aren't stopping him. Maybe they've abandoned their job of protecting Adventurers too? Or maybe they don't see it as their job to protect an Adventurer from a Defender. The Kunie clan seem to be the type to interpret their rules literally and without question. This is just an idea, but maybe the noise in the murderer's status display denotes an attempted violation of the laws of the world. In this case, the noise resulted from Soujirou attempting to damage an invulnerable entity. In the 1st season, noise in a status screen resulted from Isuzu attempting to add a Person of the Land to her friends list, which it would seem, is not allowed. O.OGuys, isn't it obvious. the Kunie clan is sending a threat to Shiroe that he can kill adventurers in response to Shiroe threatening to rob them. The whole thing was obviously ochestrated by them from the begining. |

| Now that's how you end a fucking episode. I must've rewound and rewatched starting from the point when Akatsuki deflects an attack that was going to hit Soujirou like 6 times before being satisfied and I'm gonna watch it at least once more after this post. The song that played when Soujirou first started fighting the killer was already good, but the one that started when Akatsuki dropped in was godlike. Only two complaints this episode. Deen's proportions got wonky several times throughout the fight. I probably wouldn't have noticed as many times if I hadn't rewatched it so many times, but still. For the record though, I still prefer Deen's character designs due to being more faithful to the novels, but that's not really related. Second, I can't fucking believe Deen used that tired ass "OMG DOING SOMETHING FAST BUT IT'S BEING SHOWN IN SLOW MOTION" stock sound effect for Akatsuki's gale step. I mean yes, I get it, Deen doesn't have the budget to animate fight scenes as perfectly as ufotable generally does, but the least they could do is not use corny sound effects that further take away from the effect. |

| Nice fight. So this guy doesn't even get damaged when hit? And what about those healers they mentioned? Where were they to give some support. Didn't they say each group searching for the murderer had two healers? I guess the Royal Guard system doesn't work because that guy is recognized as royal guard since he is wearing their armor. |
| I was hoping to see more Lenessia and Krusty development this season but so far it's been a disappointment. This episode was nice with the scene between Lenessia and Akatsuki. Overall, it's interesting about this murderer and what they might have to do and a surprise with Souji's other side. Man, that raid is taking way too long. | It seems like a bold move to see Akatsuki get 'killed,' but we can all see where this is going. At least it's getting a bit more interesting again. I'm still not convinced it'll be a good second season. IMHO, the best moments so far were the early episodes of season 1. With 20 episodes to go, it'll hopefully turn out well. |

| This whole "arc" with the new raid and the serial killer began with Shiro and Akatsuki meeting each other in the "after life" (before coming back to life"), so I'm guessing next episode we'll see that come into play (and not that i went back and saw the preview that would appear to be the case.) Seems like it could be a good character building episode. The battle with the immortal man got pretty intense. If shiroe, or really any major tactician / bad ass were in town, I'd say that they would defeat this guy with a collective effort, but I think that with most of the big guns out of town they'll end up being more creative than usual: making use of the suits of armor to even the playing field perhaps. Not sure I'd really like that outcome though. Seems a bit obvious. Plus, I doubt adventurers could use the armor, otherwise someone would have tried by now. Then again... they could just follow through with the hints they've dropped of Akatsuki learning some legendary new move soon and use that as the resolution. Again, this would be a little too creative, but you can't help but root for her hard work paying off :3. Personally I'm liking this short period of time where Shiroe is separated from the others; sure, the way he wins his battles is awesome but you can't just throw the same thing out all the time and expect the same returns right? Now that the adventures don't have Shiroe as a crutch to hold the town up, how will they fare against this new menace? Thus far not so well. Given the fact we'll be seeing some Shiroe - Akatsuki interaction next episode, I'm thinking Shiroe will in some way or another guide her down the path that will lead to the resolution. |

I agree with you 100%. I will root for Akatsuki all the way. Hopefully, like you said, the dying, and coming back to life will be a lesson learned, and also learning the legendary move, i can't wait to see her even more bad ass! Hm, I can see where you're coming from with the juxtaposition as well; however, I think it depends... for me it's more of a case by case scenario. This sort of ending that doesn't flow well with the episode reminds me of the ED in Clannad After Story... hearing that at the end of every serious episode was always so jarring and usually would kill the mood. I didn't keep the player running for the ed this week, I just skipped to the extra content after it... though I do like the cute ed. At first I wasn't all that fond of it, but it grew on me. |

| Akatsuki ga Kill XD Soujirou's face was seriously scary. He reminds me of one of my high school classmates (nicest most docile guy around, but once someone pissed him off and all hell broke loose!). Akatsuki's little self-doubt episode continues, as does her longing for her "Lord". And Shiro suddenly got raid-stomped! Will they ever explain what happened there? I for one would like to know the circumstances leading to their raid failure and deaths. Was it that Demiglace dude's fault again? Also, how the F-ing heck are they gonna stop that Rogue Knight? One, he's got armor that enables him to completely ignore the laws of the towns. Two, because he has that armor on, he's able to beat any and ALL Adventurers. Three, he is a POL NPC, which means he has no reason or need to make himself vulnerable by taking off that armor, heck he probably doesn't even need to shower and stuff.... So how the heck are they gonna solve this problem? Can't wait to see the next episode! |
