I was bit harsh on Nisekoi, it just doesn't fit my preferences, I guess. Now regarding Ichigo 100%, it was my first romance series that I completed. One has a light hearted plot and characters, while the other one can GET serious (adult) at times, plus the art is HENTAI worthy! lol if your into that.
BTW chapter 100 of Nisekoi was a tribute to Ichigo 100%, because of the gals in series is striving to become a Patisserie. When I think about it, the majority (half) of girls in the series doesn't revolve too much around the protagonist and this also applies to the male protagonist, he wants to become a film directer someday.
Have you looked into "Ichigo 100%" before? An old manga series from JUMP, similar to Nisekoi. Personally I dislike Nisekoi, felt like a copy of Ichigo 100%.
