Oh nice, Tsugumu gets more screen time. So I guess it's a surprise party this episode. I like surprises

Onodera looked adorable this episode. I think Raku's heart was about to pop out of his chest, seriously. Anyways yeah, Raku got some alone time with Onodera before being interrupted by Gorilla Chitoge's phone call. Oh God this episode was on crack amusing in the second half. Chitoge and her way of expressing herself :3

I guess I felt a connection between her and Raku though in a way.

CM of STEP released earlier than actual OP. Yes, "STEP" is the title of OP2. Main girl's b-day and the girl who protects her wants to have surprise party. Megane girl's matching up time. Weird hair girl found the present so fast. A place with a pretty scenery. He just spilled out the question about memory, different from what he wanted to ask, and she admitted it by adding "maybe". To her house means that Koyasu guy... The main girl is liking the present, that's nice. I didn't get what she said at the end. something love?

Adaptation of chapter 27 [Detour] and 28 [Celebration].

Onodera spends some time w/ Raku, it compensates w/ Ep. 10. Yay ! That Onodera shameful moment is priceless.
Dat phone call ffs.

Party half was really funny. Some Chitoge's reactions killed me.

A very nice progressive episode. Been waiting for it for weeks. It seems like whenever they have something for Onodera, Chitoge just swoops in at the last second to give you that final blow of "NOPE".

That gift that Raku got for Chitoge lol. That scene with Raku and Onodera was getting intense until Tsugumi ruined it lol.

Pretty sweet episode. Glad to see Raku and Onodera spending some time together. Raku asking her about ten years ago I was not expecting. Happy that they talked about a little before that damn cellphone went off.

Chitoge looking pretty good in that outfit of hers. Surprise she didn't go crazy over that Maybach. It's a freaking Maybach! That phrase surprise me also. Does that mean Raku made a promise with both Onodera and Chitoge? Guess i have to wait another week just to find out.

Anyway another great episode.

Oh my goodness. That Raku X Onodera moment! Got ruined in the most cliched way, cellphone ringing!

I really wonder what Chitoge felt at that present in the end. It was a "cute" present. Hahaha.

I so hated the part when it was interrupted! Damn that phone call. It was getting so good and I was having goosebumps. That present Raku gave though, good one. Raku and Onodera! I wish you the best!

Probably that he made promises to the girls ten years ago. It's just a thought.

The Onodera and Raku moment was pretty neat and the final scene between Raku and Chitoge left me wondering how the next episode is going to play out. Knowing how scenes like this have gone in other episodes I assume is going to go with Chitoge saying something "oh nevermind I was just being dumb" and Raku contemplating what she meant by that and forget it a second later. Nevertheless I enjoyed the episode.

Good ep.

Seems like Raku was just a player when he was a kid promising girls to marry them left and right XD

Kosaki looking into the cafe's glass and Raku seeing her was so lol. Her blush and embarrassment were so kawaiiii <3...and the waitress laughing at her XD

Nice moment at the secret place with Kosaki calling him Raku. Too bad it won't last -.-
And just when the mood got better...cock block ofc <_<

The birthday party was lol. Claude's gift was O_O
And Raku's was so lol. Dat Gorilla Chitoge hehehe with the bananas make a great combo lol

All in all, enjoyable ep and one of the rarities that progressed the plot XD still waiting for Marika >_<

A fucking MAYBACH for birthday present, that was hilarious :D
That car is worth what, 500 000 in Japan? 600 000?

Onodera actually trying to do something for once!
Chitoge actually not acting all tsundere and retarded for once!
It cant be!
Overall, awesome episode, liked it a lot. Show score up to 9/10.

So much cuteness this episode.

That present though... funny in a way and an unbelievable find... But it's still ugly.

I'm betting Raku is getting a bean sprout toy with his head modeled on it for his birthday even if she has to order make it (but probably she can just find it somewhere)... bad news is that such a toy would be easily confused with something else...

Now I get it, thinking ahead, Chitoge accepted the gift and is "treasuring" it so that when it's Raku's turn he won't have a choice but to do the same. XD

Still, I'm surprised Onodera wasn't against such a gift, as she should have seen it when he bought it...

Well I certainly wasn't expecting Raku's relationship with Onodera to get as far as it did. Really enjoyable moment between them two. Of course that meant Chitoge needed to come in at some point to say something to Raku about his promise to a girl to balance things back out.

I still think Chitoge's description so far of the boy matches Raku more than Onodera's. All Onodera can remember is that the locket seems to be the same. At this point it could still be someone different that Onodera made a promise with. Or Raku could have made a promise with them both. Guess we'll get some more clues next time if they give Raku a chance to explore if that phrase Chitoge said mean's anything to him.

I thought to my self "Oh shit things are moving along" but then I remembered how people said that the plot doesn't move an inch in the manga(LN?) Though it was interesting to see how their relationship progressed(Raku and Onodera),Chitoge had to move the plot by asking about the promise as well.

Story and development will scatter too much at a point that we will even lose the director line; which is in that case, the promise plot.

yea its a shame they skipped it.But it wasn't enough for an episode and adding another manga chapter would cause discontinuity in the storyline....

After seing last episodes seems like there is 2 options for ending:
1-They will wrap up the story with few changes after Romeo x Juliette chapters end end it
2-2nd season

Wait, what is this? Actual plot progression?!? I was expecting more fillers and beating around the bush, thereby leading to an unresolved harem ending by the end of the season. This is blasphemy towards the god of rom-com, blasphemy I say!!

In all seriousness, great episode.

Agree, chapter 26 doesn't have enough material to be 1 episode and it would cause discontinuity for this episode.

I was thinking about ending here : http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1109671 (Spoilers)

You know I was wondering that my self. I think they are going to have a second season, but seeing how they are choosing what episodes to adapt maybe they want to speed things up and end with an original ending?

So Raku made two promises ten years ago?

As much as I want RakuXOnedera to happen and despite the development in this episode, it's probably still going to be RakuXChitoge in the end.

So many Onodera screenshots this episode. I'm actually starting to like Chitoge more than I did because she's being a tsundere without hitting him every 5 seconds since the hot springs episode which is great. I'm pretty sure Raku made the promise to both girls. Even though Onodera is god-tier cute, I think Raku has more chemistry with Chitoge.

What Chitoge said at the end? HS subbed it as "Zawsze in love". Zawsze is a Polish word for always, so it would have a meaning indeed. From her pronunciation I'm not so sure about this, but again, it's Japanese, they can't pronounce shit, so it could be zawsze. In this case, why would they say such a word? I thought Chitoge was Japanese/American and Raku was Japanese...

Raku and Kosaki scenes were spot on perfectly. Glad they get some screen time, but now she has another boy that she made a promise 10 years ago...

Happy Birthday Chitoge. Those presents are LOL a toy Gorilla, and an expensive car. Another message to the story where Chitoge says "Zawsze in Love."

Onodera is cute and moe. Finally, some major development in this episode. Raku get to know Onodera could be the girl she made promise 10 years ago and possibly Chitoge too.
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.
