RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

Kon was kinda funny this episode. It's still taking me some time to get used to the CG though. Dat double agent. Episode was okay I guess. I gotta admit, the Twelve Generals are pretty badass.

Nice ep.

Hope the conversation between Harutora and Kagami will motivate Harutora to get more BA.

Woah. Totally didn't expect Takiko to be Hirata. He's pretty OP but Amami Ossan is on another level of BAness ^^

Wonder what's gonna happen nxt :D

Nice episode, the story is finally getting darker. What's up with the ending, was that teacher guy another Yakou Devotee?

Also, wasn't Kyouko supposed to find out that Harutora was the kid from her past in this episode. Just wondering because of this

I'll be honest and say I didn't get half of what was going on in this episode.
16 episodes in and I'm still unfamiliar with the universe.
I guess it's time to read the novels a bit.

What just happened is that Amami has brought down most of Twin Horn (the Yakou fanatics), from the Agency, just as he said he would last week. Even caught his right-hand man Hirata who we have known was a spy for the organization for sometime now. We just learned his real identity in the process, Takiko. The red headed girl from before.

Nothing complicated really.

Awesome episode, but it seems like Harutora still has a long way to go when compared to the badasses they have been showing lately in this series. I wonder if they'll pull something like him getting really powerful in a short amount of time, hopefully not. If they do, I hope they pull it off well so it doesn't feel inconsistent with what we know about him as a character.

This was a pretty awesome episode. Apart from the CGI-familiars - I always dislike such blatant CGI in anime - there was nothing to dislike about this episode. There was another 'big-boss fight' (I thought it would take a considerable time after Doman-Ohtomo battle, but nope, two episodes later we're again at a major fight) and there was story progression as well, since the twin horn syndicate now has gotten serious blows, and we got a bit more info about what it is and how it was originally conceived, as some sort of counterpart of the Onmyo academy by Yakou's wish himself.

Furthermore, the grand fight was hectic and powerful, but it wasn't simply a matter of brute force, and I like that. Basically, apart from outright attacking eachother, they tried to outsmart eachother, and the old man ultimately got the better hand. I wonder when he began (and sprung) the trap, actually. Was he already weaving his spell/hypnosis from the start? Because otherwise, it's a bit strange that Hirata would stop his attack to kill the divine fan, when he didn't bat an eyelash when he killed his comrade. So imho, I think he already was influenced by that time, enough to cloud his judgement (obviously, he should just killed off the old dude as soon as he could, since he's such a dangerous adversary).

Well, I say 'his', but I should say 'her', because..plottwist, it's actually the red-haired girl from the former episode. It's quite a shocker, not only as surprise that they're the same, but also because she shot her comrade with such ease...while she seemed so nice last episode. This is actually the second time they came with a twist I really didn't expect (the other one being lil lolicon girl-lover senpai being the familiar annex student of Dolman.)

I must say, this series has pleasantly surprised me. In contrast to Unbreakable Machine Doll, who started good but continuously got worse and more-trope-bound until it became annoying and a 13-in-a-dozen mediocre anime, Tokyo Ravens started out a bit weak and like the so-many-th magical anime, but got better and better with each episode, to the point I'm starting to feel 'involved' and caring about the characters, the interaction, and the story. I also like the progressively darker mood it's getting. If it keeps this up, it's going to be a very good anime indeed.

They should keep up pumping episodes like these. My goodness. Amami isn't a chief for nothing. And the girl is disguised as Hirata, she is probably controlled or either subbing in for him.

I already know most of the major twists and reveals. What I don't know is how we're going to get there. So excited to see it O____O

I don't know how many times I thought "He got him now!". The fight was great in my opinion, wasn't one-sided at all so it was really fun to watch. Both gave a really good fight, but I guess there's a reason "the Divine Fan" is the chief. Can't wait to see what's next!

I feel like this series could have expanded into 50 episodes with ease. It's unexpected because I thought this would be like Strike The Blood who remains generic throughout. The universe is very intriguing and there are many mysterious characters. If only they had put more time into explaining a lot of stuffs, this could easily be one of the best action series. What I know about the Tokyo Ravens universe I mostly read from other forums and wiki.

The fight was fucking fantastic!! I didn't know who would win until the last second. I thought "oh he's a divine general so he's gonna win" but NO, his shikigamis were overwhelmed and Hirata almost killed him only to stop suddenly. Then come the twist that Amami had hypnotized Hirata all along!! And that plot twist at the end! Who would've thought this anime could be this awesome.

Pretty much a set up intense episode. Really like the battle in the 2nd half of the episode and I didn't expect that Hirata is Takiko in the ending scene. Shaver becoming suspicious at the end and next week should be amusing.

Indeed, this series is getting better and better. I was so close to dropping many time, but the patience is proving to be worth it. This reminding me of how Kingdom anime was. I hope this anime will get even better and clime to one of the top this year.

Love this series and I really loved the fight between Hirata/Takiko and the chief dude. And I'm really interested what will happen with the cliffhanger at the end of the episode.

I want more of this NOW!!
