So, what was the point in that training? It's obvious that Shu is the most powerful person in Funeral Parlor as long as he has the proper void. He can take down an entire army of mechs on his own, he doesn't need to know how to shoot a gun. It'd be much more useful to figure out which members of Funeral Parlor have voids that would be practical in combat. At least he was smart enough to realize this during the mock battle.

Also, how can Funeral Parlor expect Shu to be an expert in military combat within a week's time? And, wtf is with Ayase barging into Shu's room while he's naked and slapping him like it's all his fault? Sure, Shu is annoying and wimpy but he doesn't deserve that crap.

Just a thought. Maybe the transmitter is a bomb itself? And the blue, blue, red is the activation sequence? The major will get rid of both dangerous individuals(Shu & Gai) at the same time. Also, if the Major is behind the satellite beam attack, maybe the activation of the pen-bomb is supposed to destroy Funeral Parlor's main HQ together with Gai? Because the Major believes that the death of Gai will make Shu think that Funeral Parlor is doomed & "turn to the light side", blowing himself up.

Exactly! ROFL! But if anyone will be the cause of it is Inori. Ayase started to get busy with a possible thing for Shu, after all he impressed her by defeating her, however noting is sure and Shu is not really into Ayase except for her breasts, he did stare at them.

Is it me or Tsumugi in the spoiler
has the breasts random enlargement. They always do that in anime. DO NOT WANT! Tsugumi was much more fine with her previous size.

I doubt it has anything to do with her growing up but if the suit has some feature, I would like to know if it has to do with that enlargement. It's probably fan service ballooning.

Shu will betray Undertaker, Ayase will be hurt and/or killed by it, everyone will blame Shu, which will give him the attention he wanted but for all the wrong reasons, he'll take the lead to get revenge and redeem himself, and that takes us to episode 11.

Prove me wrong, writers.

So, what was the point in that training? It's obvious that Shu is the most powerful person in Funeral Parlor as long as he has the proper void. He can take down an entire army of mechs on his own, he doesn't need to know how to shoot a gun.

Always take advantage of your strengths, but be prepared to fight at your weakest. What's Shu going to do if he's stuck alone against adult or mechanoid opponents? That's why they're (trying to) train him.

I'm thinking that Inori was the daughter of someone Gai liked maybe? But Gai is too young for that to be the case, right? I have a feeling she isn't a clone or anything like that - like people have been thinking.

Either way, I really liked this episode, added feeling to the rebellion's side, and Ayase has to be the best mix of Tsun & Dere ever - I loved her. It's at the point where I wouldn't mind a Shu x Ayase ending. But Inori eventually coming to like Shu is probably what will happen/feel right. But I hope nothing bad ends up happening to Ayase.

In a way this goes towards my other theory of Inori's brain being transferred to a whole new body, so the clone aspect is not totally in. Then you can think of it as her brain has problem adapting to her new body is another though in my mind.

At this point there is nothing we know of Inori's origins but anything else to disprove all of this with the clone theorem is simply that Inori's twin sister is the one featured in the flashback with Gai there.

Well too early in the show yet for any of that so it's all speculations again.

So much for the people critisizing the anime for what Inori said.

Seriously , why Shu reminds me of a character from Nurarihyon no Mago?
Seriously, I hate his hairstyle.
by the way, I only watch this Episode because of Inori haha. When she say that " Don't touch me" my expression was "what the heck?" " I only do ths because Gai said to" whatever she sai. Also, the underestimate thingy. It's boring to see those scene happen in this anime. I was expecting more than that.
Lastly, whats up with the training? Why Shu need training? I hope Shu betray will them .

But still I enjoyed this episode.

I hated it, Gai is a complete ass hole right now. I also hate how the anime creators never consider true human feelings into what they make. I mean I would be angry as fuck if I just got deceived by both sides in the fight. I would be tapity-tap-tapping on that pen and run away from everyone like hell lol. I hate how in pretty much all animes all guys are so nice and forgiving, and they're also stupid as fuck. Well thats just my opinion I guess, so don't flame me.

They're after something named after a white blood cell, great.

Oh fuck yeah. Go Gai! Cunning bastard is cunning; playing with Shu's feelings for Inori like that. He got led on by Inori and then got hit in his face by that all familiar wall called, "reality."

Ayase is quite the tsundere. Inori is...a clone?

God, Shu is actually becoming more annoying as the episodes go by. He's THAT upset that everyone likes Gai and not him? The fuck?

Also, the mock battle is not even realistic at all. Sure he won, but what's the chance of him coming across a person, much less that person even having a useful Void, if he went 1-on-1 against an Endlave? Yeah...

Dat animation and music was the only thing keeping me going again this week.

I guess the training was a way to see Shu's current capabilities and getting him use to certain things so that they can see his potential to grow. He's going to need some basic combat skills in order to defend himself assuming that no 17 year olds and under are around to pull things out of. He got "lucky" on the test. Personally I did think it was ridiculous for them to expect a lot of progress out of him so soon.

Don't worry I'm not flaming you, just pointing out how I see things (:

Shu actually didn't have the pen the whole episode until the end so he couldn't have has a chance to push the buttons even at his peak raging moment. One of the reasons he was going through the mock battle was to get the pen back in the first place. The ED credits did show him contemplating over whether he's going to use it or not and obviously this isn't going to be the end of the pen ordeal.

Other than that, it was pretty clear that Shu was upset. But given his situation now he's a fugitive that really has no choice but either to go along with the Undertakers or to turn them in to GHQ. Right now he still doesn't really have a clear idea of what's going on nor who the bad guys are so he shouldn't really be acting rashly. I'd actually hate it is activated the pen (if he had it) now because even though Inori and Gai manipulating him is maddening, its an "understandable" (a-hole) tactic to make sure he sided with them. He'd only be pushing the buttons out of jealousy that Inori "chose" Gai over him which is a bit immature.

Anyway before he could really lash out, he bumped into Ayase. I imagine it'll be all the more confusing as time goes on to differentiate the good or bad guys seeing as he's already started forming bonds with some Undertakers such as Ayase and Argo. Whatever Shu decides to do with Gai is pretty much going to have repercussions for them too.

I believe EVERYONE who think that Inori was the whole time lying is not very well informed.

The creators said: The stronger the bond, the feelings between the person with the ability of the Guilty Crown and the person with the Void inside, the stronger the weapon is.

Remember episode 4?
This HUGE sword? Remember how EVERYONE was shocked, when Inori do what she want and don't listen to Gai's order?
I mean not only Gai. Ayase, Tsugumi... EVERYONE was shocked. Really. Not played. (Why should Tsugumi play this? Shu couldn't hear her.)

It's pretty clear Inori is lying to Shu - about her lying to him.

Clearly, she was not merely following Gai's order. Other than that, Shu needs to beef up even more if he wants to become an influential member in the organization.

Shu obviously knew that girl connected to Gai, as he had that flashback when Inori showed him the cat's cradle. I guess if you look at the little girl's picture you can see how obvious her hair is just like Gai's. They look so alike, definitely his sister.
So question is how did Shu know her? But I assume again it has to do with his mother's job: maybe Shu met her when she was sick and under her observation.
And as someone said before, Inori is probably a clone of some sort of that girl, maybe that's why she knew so much about Shu's mother, clearly her job is some sort of interest to Gai & CO. Inori being a clone would also explain why some of us felt like she wasn't really acting like "human" - all that high level building jumping that she does in episode 1 first and then in ep 4 without any sort of hesitation - some would think she was pretty confident nothing really fatal would happen to her. But then again, if she is a clone of a frail dying girl it would only be logic that whoever created her made a "stronger" version of the human.

I doubt Gai is banging Inori, but I definitely see Inori wanting to be banged by him. They a sweet little encounter in his room where you can clearly see her longing for him. But it seems she has a one-sided love for Gai at the moment.

The episode wasn't that great like the previous one but at least it is a balanced show. There is one episode with plenty of action and some episode that involves interactions between the characters and some development.

I was actually glad that Inori was lying to Shu. It was more interesting and it would have been boring and typical if Inori turned out to be a character that becomes so close with the MC so quickly like in other shounen. As for saving him in the past episode, perhaps it was an order from Gai to gain his trust or it was her heart. And now we know why she is so devoted to Gai. On the other hand, I hope Shu's personality will change because he is trusting people so easily.

And by this episode we confirm that Inori is probably not a human. A clone of that girl from the flashbacks is the most obvious thing to say, but who knows. And Gai had next to him a cross and we see Inori in the opening with a crystallized big cross.

What I believe:

Looking forward for the next episode.

I'd have to give this a 4/5 it wasn't as good as the last episode but still entertaining.

Ayase was pretty cool this episode. Nice to see other members of the Funeral parlor as well that guy with the "Zero visibility" Void is pretty cool.
I didn't really like the way Inori acted towards Shu in this episode kinda feels like they were just using/ deceiving Shu all the way just because he has the Void. I wouldn't be surprised if he pressed that button but he probably won't since he still likes Inori.
Gai getting hit by lecucyte... he'll probably survived since his the leader of this group that girl that was with him probably won't. Gai acts a bit too tough I think for someone who has an illness, I don't really like him.

On another note, whenever I watch this I always remember Eureka 7 there are so many similarities. Well if this is anything like Eureka 7 this is probably gonna be the start where Shu will get depressed. Hopefully he doesn't though

Please think rationally. Why in the fuck would she have stretchy arms? Retarded shit like that only happens in garbage like One Piece. It was obvious that she wheeled over there just to slap him, because of the whole transition of "Gahhh!"ness.

I just don't understand how people can still be pulling for a ShuxInori pairing in this show...

I mean this is crazy... even if they get together Shu would have to forgive and forget a lot of he was put through because of Inori and Gai. Not to mention that he'll have to get rid of a lot of doubt/suspicion that will be lingering forever in the back of his mind.

Forever wondering if every thing Inori is saying and doing is what she wants or if it's another order from Gai. Forever being suspicious of her... Come on, she completely duped him AND FELT NOTHING ABOUT DOING IT!!!! She tells him matter-factly and just walks a way to her masters room without even looking back.

She feels nothing for him... If I was him I wouldn't be able to forget something like that, EVER!
