| This anime has its own beach episode! Lol, about time but jokes aside, it's nice they got out of the classroom for some fun. Yet, this is also another episode where words fly around about Serina. I swear, her existence in this anime always causes unintentional drama. Serina's character has been really fleshed out in these episodes. Her character is among the most important from the cast now comparable to Uka and Kai. |

| Ahhhhhh I had the biggest smile on my face this whole episode! Didn’t anticipate a beach trip, but they handled it in such a Honey Lemon Soda way, it was great! Poor Uka over here being self conscious about the other girls in swimsuits when Kai’s only got eyes for her 😍 “We’re twinsies and members of the Kai club” aww, Serina is like the best love “rival” I’ve ever seen. She’s genuinely just as happy to see Uka succeed and get with Kai as herself. So much respect for her not dragging things out and just telling Kai how she feels and getting the closure she needed. It sucks that they very well could’ve worked out in middle school had things gone differently.. but that’s just how life goes sometimes. I think that rejection is the first time we’ve seen Kai emotional/cry in this show. He does care for her a lot. “When kai was with me I got weaker, but Uka got stronger” awww again, I love how instead of any bad feelings Serina is just so supportive of Uka and wants to see she and Kai happy 😭 Lmao at Kai’s friends using him to pick up girls and paying him with food. Love how he instantly goes after Uka when he sees her, he’s such an Uka simp lol. I just don’t get why she still wants to be friends with those delinquent girls. Fuck those hoes. The smile on Kai’s face when Uka asked for his number omgmgmgmg!! “When you get a chance ask your dad if you can get LINE” omgmgmg he is the sweetest thing ever!! Such a cute ending to the episode even her dad can see how much she’s grown |

| Uka making progress again now being able to text her friends and Kai. Serina being rejected wasn't surprising but it was still a sad scene. And the former bullies being dropouts is something they created themselves, you live with the consequences of your actions. |

| Even if she was the one who ultimately cut things off, there aren't many love triangle rivals who've been as graceful from introduction to stepping down as Serina. Seeing someone like Kai get emotional was powerful stuff. Also, something about 8-bit emoji on an flip phone is both comforting and fits Uka perfectly for some reason.  |

| I love Serina because she’s not the typical character who makes the protagonist’s life miserable. Instead, she became good friends with Uka, even though they both had feelings for Kai. She accepted her loss and stayed friends with Uka—both of them deserve to win Kai’s love. She’s not like most rivals in shoujo romance anime. Little by little, Uka is making progress. She overcame her fear of her high school bullies and asked Kai for his number. I just hope that comment from her father, when he felt sad about not spending as much time together, doesn’t hinder her progress with Kai. |

| Even though she didn't have a swimsuit to wear, Uka still had a fun time hanging out with her classmates at the beach. Her progress has been steady and she showcased that after encountering the bullies that harassed her in the past. As for Serina, she finally got rejected by Kai. It did hurt her, but she's glad that she got an answer from him and she can now move on. She and Ayumi have been very good friends to Uka and it was fun to see how Uka texted to either of them. =) I'm glad that Uka was finally able to get Kai's contact info, which he was proud of her for asking him for it. Their time together at the cafe was fun and wholesome. Overall, this was a pretty nice episode, with plenty of character progression for Uka. She's done great so far! |
| The Little Uka that Could, so I completely failed to understand what was funny when Kai took her phone and saw the screen, was it previously saved and ready to go or something like that? The real final boss is here, her father guilt tripping her. |
| Loved the episode. Didn't think that Uka would ever actually develop, but she's having a wonderful development as a character each and every episode. She's becoming bolder and more courageous than i ever honestly was at school, haha. Makes me happy to see that, honestly. That last bit was a bit weird though, cuz it's supposed to kinda be a positive scene, but the sad smooth instrumental in the background made it sound a little sad, haha. Loved the episode though. |

| Bro Uka texts just like me, I mean I wouldn’t be writing on MAL if I didn’t lol. But what a great episode this was, I think this one was perfect from head to toe, even if it crammed a beach trip and drinks with Kai into one episode, it just all felt so smooth. The beach first half was really good, Uka was pretty amusing in that kind environment like how she reacted to everyone showing so much skin, especially Kai lol, but the best part of this was definitely when she stood up to her old bullies, I was wondering if they disappeared from the show or not but turns out they just dropped out, Uka didn’t need to do that but it really shows how far she’s come since the beginning, it’s just like Kai said later in the episode, the fact she didn’t realize they even dropped out shows how little they matter to her now. And there was also Serina’s rejection scene, it’s pretty upsetting for her since she lost her chance of being with Kai back in middle school when she originally shut him out, but I’m really glad she managed to confront Kai and say what needed to be said on her own, massive respect for that, she really is the best love rival one could ask for. Then in the second half we got the one on one with Kai, very nice scene between him and Uka, but what stood out the most was when Uka finally went for Kai’s number, that really made me happy for her, she’s really going for what she wants now. Only downside is that Uka’s dad is starting to feel her absence, I think that’s definitely understandable but just bad timing for it, very sweet all the same tho, I wonder if Uka will try and make something happen with her parents soon because of this. |

| since last episode the series has been getting better a bit.. my favorite moment was when uka was on the beach and thinking to herself that she was never imagined she would be where she is now. probably the most realistic detail of the whole anime so far. im sure a lot of people can relate to that in some way. although i do think it was a bit odd when she tried to befriend her middle school bullies and was genuinely interested in their lives. it fits her character and makes sense for her, but she should also learn to set boundaries and distance herself from people who arent good for her. i guess it was a good step for her to get over her anxieties tho kai annoysss me when he sounds overly stern with uka. his attitude is unnecessary sometimes. especially in earlier episodes when he would spell out words for her. it just irked me. there was less of that this episode at least, but it was still there |

| This anime PMO (Pisses me off) The beach episode of every romance anime has come for this shiz show of an anime. I just don't like it at all espically the way Kai help Ishimori there "Never seen skin before" Is such a shit line i cannot describe how much it pisses me off. The chemistry just feels so unrealistic man i hate it. Nothing is good about this episode easily the worst one yet. And then Kai leaving his friends to hang out with Ishimori their bond just feels so fake and unrealistic. I mean like what? And everyone fawning over Kai. This has never and never will happen in real life. This is like the dark romance (toned down ofc) book of an anime if i've ever seen one. One of those things booktok girls read. |

I so often see technologically slow teenagers in such media that this makes me think about how well this represent the life of real teenagers. Yes, I also had big problems with technology at one time, but this was mainly caused by a problem with money and then even simple phones or computers were considered incredibly precious property.
Also, maybe this is true for Japan, but why in anime all Trendy and Cute boys always seem so spoiled and feminine? Japanese Doramas never depict them in this way in turn.

| Gotta have the obligatory beach episode. It’s nice seeing the growth of the characters. Uka slowly growing in her own regard and breaking out of her old-self. Serina finally has a definitive answer for a proper closure allowing her to make proper progress for herself. The bullies, well that’s their decision on the path they have taken. Crazy how the mother threw shade at Uka saying that the books were heavy for her. She’s not that frail. |

| I was kind of expecting Kai or Serina to take Uka-chan shopping for a swimsuit. Oh well this works too. I feel really bad for Serina. This makes me think this is why so many love rivals arent written like her because the fact she's willing to step back is a sign she really loves Kai and actually cares about Uka too so she is very deserving of love but doesn't get it. I kind of get it what she said how she was weaker with Kai and Uka stronger so he maybe saw it as him being bad for Serina but it just kind of feels not that satisfactory in that it feels like Kai is just not willing to tolerate too much so it makes him so ordinary, which does make him a bit more realistic but his odd contradictory behavior does still feel not quite realistic. He is supposed to be a good guy but he sometimes acts like an abusive boyfriend pissed off at his gf for not acting how he wants which seems pretty immature like early grade schooler level immature. Seems Uka's dad is a bit clingy and protective of Uka. He probably isn't a bad guy since he didn't even try to stop her going out or anything. |

| The class's Summer beach outing, and Uka learning the side of her friends and classmates having pretty bodies, that's more or less Miura conducting his caretaker role when he has eyes only for her. Even with Oguni being at the beach as well, Uka finally having a mobile phone and accepting both Ayuki and Serina's contacts, it's simple happiness for her just being in the moment, and then coincidentally meeting her bullies from junior high to give them a talking to show how far she has come. But the answer to Miura's romantic love, though he'd treated Serina the same way as he did for Uka, he knew that this kind of self-depending love would not last, given the differing strengths of the two girls enough to reject the former and chase the latter...? Serina's obsession for Uka getting along with Miura, only gets worse for the latter meeting him coincidentally and wanting to find out what's her shtick with her bullies. Though it's only for a moment for him to catch up with her, he's always looking out and enabling her to become stronger. Slowly but surely, Uka is treading along on Miura's trail, which is all for more, the better. |

| Another packed episode, I really liked Serina her hair. Not only is she pretty from the outside, she's so pretty from the inside too. I am so happy she can let Kai go now, she had me almost crying when she said that Kai made her weaker but made Uka stronger. She is lowkey the sweetest and coolest character of the whole anime. The way she doesn't become rivals with Uka but actually befriends her melted my heart. I was also so happy seeing Uka finally conquer some of her fears, even though her dad tried to make her feel guilty at the end for having friends. |
| Ok this episode was cooking a bit, I really liked the beach part with Uka and Serina. This show got back to its roots a bit with this episode. |
