Your logic is all over the place lol I just said that I don’t watch anime where there’s no point of the said fan-service or which feels out of context and breaks the immersion of a series and by minor I meant kids under the age of minority like 17 or 16 which is considered legal in Japan and most countries.

why are all these minors naked???

@VKDOOM Try watching some of those love polygon Shoujo shows. Femcels aren't prudes they wanna see hot boys fawning over an otherwise average-looking girl(just like in harem shows where hot girls are falling for an average dude). In that regard, Dandadan is the complete opposite as there are 2 hot girls falling for an average-looking dude.

@VKDOOM so what I'm gathering is that you don't like tsunderes. which is fine, wanting a gf to be able to actually communicate feelings isn't that high a standard. kind of harsh to simplify what they're both feeling down to that though. The drama has been pretty solid imo... between this and Ranma 1/2, we are getting some pretty cute romcom situations this season.

The thing about the tsundere dynamic is that it can work if the male character has backbone. Even something like Nisekoi, it worked because the male character wasn’t just a bitch.

Like this is an even worse dynamic than the one in Familiar of Zero because even though the dude was LITERALLY a slave, he still had strength and he still saved the girl and could be heroic. Here, he’s completely useless. Even more useless than Shinji in Eva and that show works with having such a weak male character like Shinji because it’s literally an examination of why he is such a weak willed person.

This is probably the worst anime couple of all time to tell you the truth. This is pretty much a femcels ideal relationship though. A man that is just her bitch and just a doormat to be walked on.

@princesshy hey, you're not the only one who found the ending gag uncomfortable (I found one or two other people saying they were, and I'm sure Twitter will have a field day). But, at the end of the day, the series is partly a comedy and that was a gag to end on. Going into the next episode and eventually finishing out the season, there will be more jokes that may land better for you personally (as I heard from some manga readers that they somehow forgot early chapters got that wild, so this was seemingly the worst of it).

I was just also adding context that they are indeed at an age where the society that makes this series is ok with more sexual humor as not-that-serious gags, and has been for countless other anime too - something you'll need to get used to about anime and Japan in general, not just Dandadan. Hell, the other romcom I'm catching this season is the 2024 Ranma 1/2 remake and, while I largely consider what I've seen so far to be fluffy tsundere-ness (new viewer), BOY HOWDY, is there some nudity of these teenagers, as there is a lot of baths and otherwise magical-sex-shift-related awkwardness. And that's all expressly without the nipples that were visible in the original version, apparently.

That's anime... every fan needs to reckon with this whole concept at some point, and imo you can either embrace it or avoid it. I only replied initially because you seemed so shocked and hung up on the concept, like you've actually never seen it before, so like... welcome to some of the longest ongoing discussions you'll find in the community: which fanservice is ok and which is too much or too far.

And beyond that, I was being genuine about being confused about the underwear that went too far for you, and the reasoning I gave was my actual life experience. I wasn't trying to talk down to you or dismiss you or anything; I'm just trying to explain why it is the way is it and the general culture around gags like that, as another woman approaching 30 that has been watching these shows and talking in these communities since high school.

I get that shounen manga/anime are always gonna include some wild fanservice here and there and usually it's whatever for me I just ignore it, but man is this episode one of the more "in your face" about it I've seen in a while.

Can someone please tell me there's less fanservice than what was shown here this episode moving forward? I've been loving the anime but yeah, I'm not gonna be enjoying the show if the fanservice is this present and in frequent amounts. I get it's for the teenage boy audience (their main demographic) but I'm an adult so for me all that in-your-face fanservice is just taking away from an otherwise great show.
