How fitting, Alicia begins her "villainess arc" although she still remains generally the same person inside. Also interesting is how she feels about Duke after the confession.

It seems she is confused but can't forget about what he said.

Mel's quite amusing, already liking her. Glad she'll appear more now that Duke permit her to. Duke x Alicia any moment now. Also been waiting for the old man reveal. Older brother of the current king. More strong ally for Alicia.

I still don't agree that Alicia has to apologize Duke, why does stalker's target have to apologize stalker? It just doesn't make any sense to me.

what was that thing with liz and the dark energy stuff? was she trying to hold it in or was she trying to use it?

interesting that not everyone just has fallen head over heels for liz like the silver hair.
id like to see the bully girl get punished for trying to frame alicia but since she is on liz's side, nothing will happen. still not actually sure if the "bullied" girl was behind the scheme and blamed the other girl or not

Alicia stormed in to her villainess role. Importantly she also made up with Duke and both became closer. Alicia was really bold and she also convinced Duke to be more open. Thanks to that Mel finally made her appearance.

The whole cutting out context, taking things out of order and playing victim card is so so relevant nowadays insufferable behaviour. Alicia was ready to openly admit it like a mask of honour(Joe Rogan dejavu) but Mel was there to debunk those clowns anyway. It's pretty clear Liz was influcing them I almost feel bad for Jane but she didn't even get what she deserve.

I really like Mel. The fact she can come up and say she hates Liz is huge W. She is perfect chaos and her simping for Alicia is really cute.

Good Alicia and Duke development aswell. Looks like Alicia is more confident and open now. Jil & Mel is assisting nicely aswell.

This was certainly one of the better episode this anime is getting better and better.

That was a fun episode and it's nice that not everyone is under Liz's spell. It was also cool to see that she somehow casts out a (magic?) aura to swing everyone dangerously to her side.

Also nice that Alicia and "Prince Duke" ended up reconciling, since it was frustrating to see them leave on a sore note last episode.

Hoping it has a satisfying finish with them revealing the secret behind Liz!

From what I understood, it doesn't seem like it's some kind of magic that directly controls people, but rather Liz's jealousy and hatred towards Alicia somehow spread to those around her, though I'm not sure if it's intentional. What could be the requirements to resist this kind of "spell"?

I'm glad that Duke and Alicia reconciled, and that Duke finally stopped holding back and confessed to her. Mel was a great addition to the story and will definitely be useful to Alicia as a villain, either as a spy or even a friend. I'm also curious to see what will happen to Carol in the future.

Things are getting more intense now with the revelation that Will is the king's older brother. Could Luke have staged some kind of coup?

Idk why Alicia would feel bad for telling Duke off. He’s a nonce for one and for two he’s being extremely overbearing and frankly patronising about Alicia making her own choices to help a friend. It’s her eye, if that’s what she wanted to give up that’s on her. He’s so annoying 🤦🏽‍♂️ but his stalking did come in handy later in the ep

More importantly tho, from that scene it seems to confirm that Liz does control the aura she omits and when she got jealous over duke and Alicia flirting and making up, she strengthened it. So my subconscious theory goes out the window. She knows full well what she’s doing.

“I want to be a villainess who goes down in history!” She did it! She said the thing. Alicia is certainly going a great job so far of accomplishing that goal. Staying in the cabinet for two years alone will get her in the history books lmao

Marika and Jane’s little attempt to trap up Alicia was the most obvious bait ever. Jane is such a loser I wish she’d take a hike and give it up already. Anyone who believed that audio without any accompanying video footage is an idiot too like that shit was so obviously fake lmao. Respect to Carol and Mel for sticking up for Alicia, especially Carol since it’s not her “job” like Mel.. and her design is so pretty. Looks like Flora from Seirei Gensouki a little

Mel is cute too and I think she and Alicia are gonna be fun to watch. I love how she’s like her biggest fan.

That ending twist tho holy shit??!?! Will being a prince was totally out of left field for me. So his family left him out in the boonies, blind and was basically willing to let him die?? Wtf can’t wait to hear this lore

I really like that Alicia has now transferred into the class with everyone else.
She made the right decision to make thing right with Duke.
I wonder if Liz's power was accidental due to being an in game reaction or whether she meant to do that.
Mel finally get her 15mins of fame in this episode, she's being waiting a long time.
Looking forward to seeing What Will has to say next time.

I love this series! This episode was amazing—so much happened! Now we "know" Liz's secret, but to be honest we don't know much about her yet, so that secret doesn't reveal much either about why.

And I have to say that I totally didn't expect that thing about Will-ojisan!! Even though there were hints throughout the series, it never crossed my mind o: <3 now I really want to know more about him! I hope we get to learn more about him in the upcoming episodes<3

@YuushaNi I think it was pretty much confirmed before, but at 7 minutes it was certainly the most obvious use we've seen.

The big question remains, however, the same one I think we've really had the entire show: is her manipulation simply an unconscious effect of her being the Saint that she doesn't control (and may not even know about) or is she actively and intentionally using it to control people? IE, is she just annoyingly overpowered or is she actively and secretly evil?

A lot of people in this thread didn't see the end twist coming. I didn't either, but a bunch of people were talking about it last episode. I couldn't figure out where they were getting it from, though.

@amf85 I did. I wondered about it before, if Will was actually the King's brother. Maybe he couldn't lead because he was blind. Or maybe something a little darker went on. Like with Liz's Aura or curse or whatever kind of magic that was. I don't think it was entirely out of her control, by the way.

Will's revelation ain't really that surprising at all. Well, to the viewers at least, but I have a feeling Alicia might've had an inkling already. But that cafeteria scene with Duke and Alicia was giggle-worthy, Liz was green with envy and she let her inner angry girl voice seep out and was felt/heard by her stupid followers, thus them acting quite stupidly & hatching up a scheme to cause more hatred towards Alicia, but too bad for them it backfired. I still think Liz is the actual villain in this series lol

The more of Liz's dickriders we get to see, the more I see that they are just some of the stupidest, bandwagoning people I've seen in anime. Like straight to hating on Alicia without even letting her talk, and then when miss pink hair girl shows up and plays the ACTUAL recording, we just switch sides INSTANTANEOUSLY..?????

Please, no more of them, it'd be for the best.

Nah, the fact that Liz said "everything I have wanted as come to fruition, so now we have to become friends" (paraphrasing) is crazy. I knew Liz was using mind control.

Jane is insane and it backfired so badly it made me cringe. Jane was projecting the entire time lmao. Mel and the purple haired girl truly came in clutch.

I absolutely love Mel. She's such a cutie. I love how obsessed she is about Alicia. I'm glad Duke finally came out clean about his secrets.

Thankfully, Alicia apologized to Duke in such a badass manner. The way he blushed while walking away, I loved his expression. Y'all need to stop hating on poor Duke. He doesn't deserve all the hate he gets.

I also knew Will was related to the royal family lmao

Well that rough patch with Duke didn’t last long, Alicia mustered up the will to apologize pretty quickly, but I do love to see it, and really she did kinda stand her ground while apologizing at the same time which I liked, she may not have asked for his help but appreciating it is the right way to put it. And her counterpoint of protecting someone out in the open for all to see was also nicely put, and this ended up changing Duke’s way of doing things later in the episode when he revealed his cute pink haired spy Mel, she’s a fun addition and a complete contrast to Alicia, but after her display against Jane I’m sure she can get along with our resident villainess just fine.

And speaking of Jane, I loved seeing her plan to villainize our villainess crumble apart, Alicia not only took it well, but she also got some unexpected help from Carol and Mel which got her the crowd’s favor, their minds changed pretty easily but I was just happy to see Jane’s plan foiled, she may be cute but it was a deserved defeat. Also, we finally got a tease on Liz’ power, it’s not apparent if she’s doing it on purpose or not, but there’s absolutely some kind of power at play here, hopefully we get the answer before the show ends. And lastly, wow I wasn’t expecting blind grandpa to be the older brother of the king, I feel like I shoulda seen it coming but I just didn’t put it together when they originally mentioned the king’s brother, cool reveal tho.

@RedChrome I mean, if they want to make it to the wolves incident this season they'd have to, I guess (we see wolves sillhouette in the OP). It's already EP09, we'd only have 3 EPs left this season afterall, and still a few number of mats left to go before the wolves incident. I think they might reorder some things as well, and push some mats to season 2 (should it ever happen someday) as well.

Still, whilst it is smh understandable, doesn't make it acceptable tho... No matter their reasonings, rushed stories are still rushed....

I was afraid it's gonna be a weak episode, but the latter part is great. After being told off, Prince Duke now grows a spine.

He has a spy for him who watches Alicia, and it looks like there will be more Alicia groupies.

There's visuals of Liz's mind control. It begs the question of whether she knows it or not.

Finally, unlike what I thought earlier, Duke's uncle will not be a final boss. He is Uncle Will.

So the "hero" does have some kind of passive (maybe active?) Aura that influences others to harm our "villainess" and love the "hero".
We found out about the spy Duke had and she's adorable! Also we know not everyone is under the "hero"'s spell.

So William is the King's older brother, the plot thickens.

Honestly this is highly possible, while I will forever question it's lack of intent after Liz tried to kill Alicia and gaslight her, this is a possibility of what it is, because whatever it is, it is evil.

Alicia being pompous to barge into Liz's class to attempt taking over, it's the least of her worries. Thinking that she did offend Duke by lashing out at him, she pays him back twofold with her villainess trait, which as far as the rivalry goes, it's still incomplete. But a simple testing from a rando girl only proves that it's just more of the set-up to frame Alicia, though any words spoken out of Liz thus earning the ire of her followers, she's slowly becoming the villainess that she so desires.

So, the pink-haired student always behind the scenes of Duke's spy Mel to turn the tables against the once-offended Jane, there's just no need to deal with the root of the problem, though Alicia seemingly has gained an arduent fan who adores her to no end, and also sides with her knowing the playing ground alongside her master. But if facing Duke and making her own heart flutter is one thing that the villainess can't control, she has to deal with it either way.

Grandpa Will being exiled is one thing, but to be royalty and related to the King, just what is his shtick?

Alicia has been condemned by a group of her peers like a classic villainess should. Too bad for the Heroines groupies what they were condemning was phony evidence created by Jane and Marika.

I like this new Mel girl. She's silly and a spy. That's two brownie points. Also what was up with that black energy that left Liz and went into her classmates. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but that's clearly not a good thing for Alicia. At least Liz seemed to be feeling better.

I stopped at ep 8, cause Liz pissed me off, back to watching...

But still get pissed off by Liz like 8 mins into the episode... >.<

(low key I want to murder Liz and all her friends)

.

I hate these "hero aura" thing they use in some series as some sort of ultimate plot armor (like that Hero-dude in Slime), where the caster gets away with anything they do.

But... apparently some students aren't affected? even tho they're also hanging out around Liz... hmm...

I wonder how this aura thing actually works... feels like it only works for people that's either neural or have a positive view about Liz. People that doesn't like Liz remains Sane.

Which means... Duke actually hates Liz deepdown.

.

Also, LOL, that dude revealed Alicia "likes" Duke. And Alicia gets all shy and runs away, LOL.
