How to get a Music Swap participant ticket!!

(1) Reply with a music recommendation to the user above you or anyone else who has already posted, including myself. It's best you provide a link on Youtube or another site so we can go straight to the music.

(2) Also post a link to some music you like. This way other users can recommend music to you! It's optional but you should provide a reason why you like this particular music or video.

I'll begin. I really like the Preview of Me music video by Tatsuya Kitani because they hide the lyrics in the set of the video!

If you plan to embed a video use spoilers and this code

and you can use
artist
to take you to the artist!

Thanks for coming by!

This is tough as there are tons of them to choose from.
I think I'll go with something recent like 音色の軌跡(Neiro no Kiseki) which is a character song from Hibike Euphonium 3. It is a duet between the characters Oumae Kumiko and Kousaka Reina.

I would like to recommend to all my family this song by Addison Rae called Diet Pepsi. I love slow songs like this and have been obsessed with this one lately!

I also want to recommend this amazing music video from The Weeknd called False alarm. I love the cinematography and the POV is so original and cool! Definitely take a look.

Since you like Kimi no Namae,

I remember that I was watching White Album 2. The song is called Sayonara no Koto by Rena Uehara which was a great ending song within the anime. And yes, it's also available on Spotify, so I highly recommend anyone listening to this song!

Thank you for putting Gotou Hitori as the poster girl for the event, the songs from the anime are super cool and simply fits my criteria. Here is my recommendation to everyone who has not seen Bocchi the Rock yet, which I think is quite rare.

If I could be a constellation by the Kessoku Band

I hope you could also recommend to me songs from an anime wherein you could actually feel the "personality" or "trope" of the singer or the band by the song that they are singing. Here's one example from Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Season 2 with Lanzhu Zhong just being her competent and confident self which emanates so much with her music and performance.

If there's one song I think everyone should listen too it'd be "I Need Somebody"

This song just touches your soul in a special way as they portray loneliness and anxiety with sounds.
The song gives beautiful insight into the difference between being alone and being lonely.

Another one I thought of was Daylight by Morfonica, since you said you like violin! Also I gave that malice mizer song a listen and it sounded so good.. Thank you for a new favourite :3

for me, I like a whole bunch of different genres in music, I like songs with violin and songs where the piano is loud and clear, or has it's own solo part. I also like songs that are emotionally driven, or make you emotional I guess. Or just generic pop honestly, I'm not super fussy ^^ Rn my favourite artist is Eve, and here are two songs I really like right now!

The description of what you like somehow brought to mind two different shows from the same franchise. One of the tracks that came to mind is this one:

since it has its solo parts but also fits the pop criteria.

And then this very not generic one that sounds more like a music box

which, to me, is very emotional.

As to what I like to listen to these days, I tend to go for similar soundtracks to the above. Classical to epic sounding (you might like the following one too). Think escaflowne!

It might be slightly different from Joji's music, but I feel that they fall into the same type of almost melancholy(?) sound category. I think you'd like this song from Mk.gee:

I also would like to take a kinda sidestep from Joji and go out on a limb with an assumption that you'd like this style of songs too (I may be wrong but it kinda feels that you might like it)

I really like shoegaze music or songs that contain a lot of ambience, I might be throwing a bunch out here but they are tracks I'd like others to take a listen to:

I'm into a lot of styles so I'm interested in what other people want to recommend, like if you have a song you want others to know about then feel free to send it over to me.

I see you liked Alya's cover to Omoide ga Ippai, which the original song played as an ED to an 80s anime called Miyuki. You might also like the 3rd opening to Maison Ikkoku, which is another relatively popular 80s anime.

Recently, I've been into BanG Dream MyGO songs, especially Noroshi and Utakotoba. Utakotoba is one of the songs that was sung in the MyGO anime and has great emotional and narrative significance. I also keep coming back to another insert song from Mahoutsukai no Yome 2nd Season Part 2, Quiet Choir, which also played at the climax of its story.

Hello Mick! As you like emotional music, I tried to find some that really conveys the emotion that the artist wanted to present with it.
Here is the first song:

My second song for you is this one which is more bittersweet than the previous recommendation but I still find it to be an emotional song:

I saw your Blue Giant post along with perusing your profile. I absolutely adore Hiromi Uehara <3

Love your list ^^. My first thought, taken from the Jazz inspiration, was have you seen Sakamichi no Apollon and of course you have!

So I'm going to recommend Runnin' by Ichiko Hashimoto (another absolute jazz legend) from the anime RahXephon. Every OST/track from that anime is disgustingly good:

Feeding off the Hiromi train I'm going to post this bomb track for myself. Time Difference is off her album Time Control (2007) with her band Sonicbloom. I love all music and jazz/prog/fusion is absolutely no exception. <3

This music hits me so hard that I would listen to it before playing games most of the time. It's recommended to anyone who likes rock songs!

For @JoanVi04 I'd recommend Yellow by Yoh Kamiyama

My favorite band is The Protomen with my favorite song being Light Up The Night

@SolemnlyDoc they sound a bit different than the protomen, but if you like mega man-themed concept albums, have you checked out the megas' history repeating: red and history repeating: blue albums? i refuse to believe from red is probably my favorite out of them as a fun nerdy rock opera thing

and in honor of starting now my third anime featuring a song by buck-tick as an op or ed (night walker, trinity blood, and now xxxholic,) here's probably my favorite japanese language song -- dress by buck-tick

Hello @RaiYou,

Since you mention rock songs, I recommend "MUKANJYO" by Survive Said The Prophet. It's from the anime VINLAND SAGA. Hope you likei it!

As for me, I'm absolutely in awe by Hana Hope's "Destination of the journey", the first opening for the Spice and Wolf remake. Her voice is incredibly calming and the song gives you a nice blend of longing and optimism. If you enjoy music with emotional depth and a soothing atmosphere, I recommend giving it a listen!

I'm also into Vaundy's Hadaka No Yusha! The energy it gives off is amazing and always gets me hyped up.

^ Kizumonogatari was the first thing that came to mind.

I would maybe recommend some KOKIA too

I like classical, violin, bass, fast shreds, jdm & anything weird-sounding / with complex instrumentals
@coffeedrops This song, "The Pimp and The Priest" by The Dear Hunter is different to the music you provided, but since you have a fun taste in instruments, I thought you might like it. A song that reminds me more of the music you suggested would be "Reapers" by Muse, which is fast paced with amazing guitar. I love it.

One of my favorite songs is "The Lake and The River" by The Dear Hunter (a totally underrated band).
I really love the strong vocals and the story in the song; you can listen to it on its own, or as a part of the narrative told throughout their albums. The instruments used also hook me in so hard, I listen to this song on loop for hours at a time.
