I am 19 and currently doing classes. I'm a big fan of everything anime and manga. I like to listen to music alot, I usually listen to pop or rap. When I'm looking for manga and anime I usually look for fantasy, mystery, adventure, and action.
It was a lot more transparent in the past, now it's more vague. I don't know why. But even then, there's only so much you can say about it and a lot comes from personal experience and how different people handle situations in different ways, like the workload, the way of working, dealing with problematic situations, dealing with aggressive users. It's easy to spot rule breaking content, but it's a different thing to actually be the one to deal with it including all the negative aspects. That's why there's a second round test and a trial period because these bring you closer to understanding what it is about. You seem to be interested in becoming a mod later and you're motivated and positive which is a good attitude to have for it. My recommendation would be to report as much as possible, but at the same time also think about how you would handle these situations, including solving the conflicts. Do this for a few weeks or months so you can see if you could also do it for a longer amount of time.
What do you mean with website issues? When the website isn't loading or when there are a lot of errors? As far as I know these are only short issues which is why they don't get announced on the site. In the past they sometimes got announced on Twitter, but I don't know if that's still the case.
And no, there were no new forum/community mods this year, everyone who's currently still there was hired between 2020 and last year.
There are already mods/admins who handle the applications in their own departments. And yeah, it does take time to look at the applications and do a second round, but at least with forum/community mods the main problem lies somewhere else. There are not many people who apply in the first place, and most of them are either not suited or drop out during any stage of the recruitment or shortly after, not only because some people fail the test, it's mostly because they realize that it's not what they expected so they quit. It's been like this for many years. I also tried to nominate a lot of people (they were asked to apply outside of recruitment posts) but most people reject that offer. That's why I said that a lot of things would need to be changed to make it more attractive or else it will always stay the same or get even worse (there was not a single new mod in the recruitment in April).

I am a big fan of tuxedo cats. They look so handsome in their little outfits!
