Hi, nightfury! Thank you so much for your recommendations!! I really enjoyed your picks for me!

I’ve finished the first season of Ling Qi and I’m hooked! It was such a fun ride, and I really enjoyed the characters and the story. I also loved to see the character development of Jinghua, as he started off kinda unlikable (not to say he wasn’t enjoyable to watch, but rather how he came off as pretty self centered). But by the end of the season you could really see his growth, which felt genuine, satisfying and earned. I’m happy to have finally watched it, and I can see why you were excited to recommend it to me :)

Though I’ve only been able to watch a couple episodes of Do It Yourself thus far, I think it’s a really cute and fun show which I’m happy you convinced me to try. Now I regret almost having skipped it last season hahah! And I don’t mind CGDCT at all! Even my all time favorite anime is of that theme. Even though I’m only on episode three, all of the characters introduced till now are really fun and charming, and I already have several favorites among them. I also really like the character designs, as well as the environmental design. I love how they went beyond with setting it in a futuristic world which really highlights the themes of the show, but also the fast-moving world we live in right now and how we can learn to move a little slower, ourselves. I didn’t expect the show to go as deep as it did with that, but it’s very welcome and fun to analyze!

Again, thank you for your recommendations! I can tell you put a lot of care into them and I’m happy that you convinced me to give these two shows a watch. I myself was really excited when you mentioned how similar our likes, dislikes and watched shows are, and I was sure these recommendations would be good before starting to watch them. If you don’t mind I’d love to be friends and talk about anime with you :)
