| Episode 2 and beyond airs on FOD and Crunchyroll 1 week early. Inori Minase's OP is cutesy, as expected. Chizuko already made her mind about whose side she's on, and in the bereft against a burglar, Chrome a.k.a Kuroma is physically powerless, as Chizuko wishes for Berry Blossom to save them, which she's just right there in the background to save their sorry asses...and run away from police before they get there to arrest the burglar, or rather, hide her true facade that she's met a hardcore fan of hers. But to have Chrome be in her grandfather's place, who then teleports her to Fossa Magna's base...all she wants to do is watch Berry Blossom on TV. It turns out that Chrome is so limited on his magic since the teleport took all of his magic, that it's even on a borrowed basis to pay lols. And the cheek to have Chizuko sign for a new magic contract, she clearly signs it without thinking much about falling into the hands of evil...and to think that her grandfather's place is where the Fossa Magna was in the underground, Chrome clearly played with Chizuko's feelings all this while. Chrome needing Chizuko's help to control the Kuma Kaijins, even he fails on that regard. More than a burdock root, a hot pot party is not apt lols. Not gonna lie, I got the feeling that Chizuko doesn't want to admit her downward spiral to evil. |

| Very nice OP. I already listened the full version of it on YouTube. Chroma is such a hopeless case for being an evil mastermind, lol. These two first episodes were quite enjoyable. |

| I’ve seen enough, AOTS, best Wednesday seasonal 😂 we have 3 mahou shoujo series this season and we’re off to a great start. Loved every moment of this, basically a non porn addict version of MahouAko. Had a great time seeing Date go from being lost and struggling to make friends to becoming the biggest Berry Blossom stan in the world.. well, 1 of 2, anyway. Having the “evil” villain work together with Date to make fights more interesting and bond over their shared love of Berry Blossom kinda felt like a mix of Mahoaku last season and love after world domination from 2022. Hilarious first two episodes, Date and Chrome are the unlikeliest of allies but actually have a ton in common of course all centred around their love of the magical girl The store robbery and teleportation incidents are probably my fave parts so far. Chrome being powerless to stop a simple bank robber when he fights a magical girl every day had me crying, and since when tf do teleportation devices have data limits 😂 Can’t wait to see where this one goes! Very funny so far and Date is adorable. Hopefully we learn more about Berry Blossom soon too! |

| Chroma and Chizuko are such vibes together this shows hilarious so far and I really like the art style. Each character has very unique eyes. Best show so far (Its the only one I've watched so far) |

| I can't get enough of this show, love the tone, the facial expressions, the voice acting, I'm a big fan of characters like Chroma who address someone by using their full name and that after ED scene was so cute and funny. |

| The image of a villainous mastermind part timing really is a curious one. Perfect OP from Inorin. Nice visuals as well. Kuroma really has a fetish for being punished lol. Still their base turned out to be pretty close to home. The bears though sure were interesting creatures. Chizuko sure knows the value of incentive though. |

| I might drop this. I don't think Miku Itō fits the role of Chizuko and the comedy works for me only 50% of the time. I'll watch one more episode, but it could be the last. |

| Quite enjoyable first two episodes. However, feels like the voice acting could be a little bit better and somehow match a bit. Feels like it doesn't. Anyways, hoping this holds up. Might be a fun series. |

@RobertBobert Technically, Anthy did the shoujo villain protagonist thing 27 years ago. Though she suffered a bit more for it.
| @lambda-fairy First of all, I'm talking about current shows. Obviously, there have been many shoujo shows with villainous protagonists over the years. Second, Utena is not a mahou shoujo. Third, Anthy was an anti-hero, not a villain. If we are talking about one character, of course. @EcchiGodMamster This show definitely feels like an urban fantasy comedy from the 00s. Especially the music. |

| Love this so far, it already has a high potential of being my AOTS. I burst out laughing at several instances, including when Berry punched the thief and when it was revealed that the evil base is under Date's grandpa's home. I also love the characters and the art, Chrome is pretty funny and the grandpa is so cute. And I love the way the eyes are drawn. |

| Chroma is incompetent and pitiful but is somewhat competent as using his pitiful look to get what he needs, I like him. The op and ed are both very sweet , they looks good, with a lot of visual gags in the op and the musics are quite nice. I like how the anime explain that magic can only be used on other magical user and creatures. On a more meta level, it's kinda explaining/rationalizing the, why you rarely see in a magical girl shows the heroin fighting against normal criminal. |
| I guess japanese, or at least their crawlspace, is theoretically livable. I'm pretty sure crawlspaces where I live would be more hazardous. Like I would love to be able to live in my crawlspace... nope! 5/5, it's so wholesome silly and I love it. It makes no sense but it's so cute. So much fun! |

| LOL, the Evil Dude's pretty much just acting to get things to go his way. It feels like the beginning of episode 1 was actually his plan... since he made the mahou shoujo do like 90% of the building damage. And this episode with the robber, he clearly has the physical strength to counter, but purposely acted weak so Chizuko can see that mahou shoujo won't use magic as it would probably kill the robber. The actual evil mastermind that strive to stall the entire evil vs good conflict so it turns into a sustainable marketable product... (since we see they have tons of items for sale based on evil vs good) We even seen how the evil dude manipulated Chizuko to stay in the evil base, dude's a true evil. (plus dude uses some limited magic plan... what the actual fuck is this? so he isn't the actual leader? there's someone even higher up in the evil organization? that controls how much magic someone can use...) (but it feels like this is part of his plan to make Chizoku sign the contract) . Also, Chizuko palm striking the evil dude was cute, LOL (this is also how most girls play hit their partners to act cute and flirts) . BTW, the "crawlspace" they mentioned is most likely a regular "basement", since actual Crawlspace is not high enough to actually live in as you have to be bending or actually crawling between the base (ground) and floor (wood boards) of the house. Especially since a regular Crawlspace for japanese house would open up to the entire section of the room floor, but in the anime we see the space is a small square that leads downwards, like a regular basement passage/ ladder way. |

| Ahahah, episode was hilarious! OP pretty much tells the whole story. Villain is not actually a villain, and the two are going to help the shy magical girl get stronger. Robbery scene was funny. Clotheslining the dude, then calling the police lol. Like an average magical girl would. Characters are amusing so far. |
| This is... a lot of fun, actually. It's really janky, stupid, relaxing, and pathetic in a funny way. Maybe it's because I don't know much about magical girls, but that rule about the magical girl strictly dealing with magical villains and having no power whatsoever against normal people is... really weird. I kind of felt bad when Berry Blossom was crouched down on the side of the street. |
