| Looks like Tatsuya needs all the help he can get and Retsu's grandson seems to be part of that solution. I'm kinda surprised Mizuki got some screen time as she has been overlooked this season. This episode seems like a calm before the storm for the arc. At least Tatsuya was able to get some cool air outside among all this stress. |

| It's time to head to Nara. To secure Kushima Retsu's cooperation in capturing Zhou Gongjin, Tatsuya, Miyuki, and Minami pay a visit to Nara, the headquarters of the Kushima family. Kushima Retsu promptly agrees to Tatsuya's proposal and introduces him to his grandson, Mitsunobu. Mitsunobu, who is one year younger than Tatsuya, is described as physically frail but possessing formidable magical abilities. During dinner, Mitsunobu learns that Tatsuya and his companions are in search of a traditionalist magician and offers his assistance. The following day, with Mitsunobu as their guide, Tatsuya and his friends explore the traditionalist stronghold in Nara when they come under attack by the Traditionalists in Nara Park. Suddenly, Minami creates a barrier to block the first attack. Then, Minoru and Tatsuya jump into action. Tatsuya stops an enemy from targeting Miyuki. Miyuki sets up a protective barrier shaped like a big glass to defend everyone. Minoru defends himself with a shield and attacks the enemy with Spark. Miyuki and Tatsuya are impressed by his skills. This arc seems to be getting increasingly intense. |

| Btw is that Miyuki or someone else in the water in the OP? Not sure. Yesss Minami and Minoru's interactions are so cute. I always get this fuzzy feeling when I see romance in non-romance anime, it's weird. Hoooolup, we didn't know that Zhou Gongjin has connections to Saegusas, right? On what and why did they cooperate? Interesting. 20:47 Qimen Dunjia (Traditional: 奇門遁甲, Simplified: 奇门遁甲 lit. mysterious gates escape armor) - an ancient form of divination from China. Divination is the attempt to gain insight into a question or situation by way of an occultic ritual or practice. Rip Nakura. He's been in the series as Mayumi's bodyguard since season 1 iirc. Edit: Wait, Zhou Gongjin and Saegusas connection was in the Double Seven Arc, sorryyyyyyyyy |

| Mahouka Fridays are the best.. only a few more left this season! Things really starting to heat up with the hunt for Gongjin Zhou. Pretty neat seeing all the various families form temporary alliances to deal with him. The Yotsuba, Kudou, Saegusa etc all want buddy gone. And from what we’ve seen of his combat abilities it probably will take all of em working together to do it. I forgot Minami was even a character it’s been so long since we saw her lol. Getting strong ship vibes from she and Retsu’s grandson Minoru.. speaking of which damn he’s OP. Short but very satisfying display of his abilities during that ambush. Could give Tatsuya a run for his money some day. Speaking of ship vibes, loving the development between Shibata and Yoshida. Yoshida acting as her body guard is a perfect way to finally get them on the right path, love how flustered the two of them get! I don’t blame Yoshida for confronting Tatsuya, I know he gotta keep some stuff a secret, but definitely would be advantageous to at least give some insight to his friends as to what they’re up against.. RIP Saegusa butler. Tried his best to take on Zhou but uh yea.. at least he tried. Can’t wait for next week! PS: That mizuki tiddy drop was crazy lmao |

| New ship? Minoru's pretty strong. Mikihiko's gonna be helping Tatsuya. Was great to have more cute Miyuki moments. If Zhou was gonna be easy to kill then they wouldn't have so much trouble with him but this guy actually did well against him. |

| The Ten MC seems to be too shackled in tradition and procedures huh. Love at first sight for Sakura lol. The meal at the Kudou's was pretty fun. Minoru sure made dealing with the enemy at the park look easy. Miki's concern for Mizuki showed well his affection for her as well as his ability to think outside the box. Too bad about Nakura though. But looks like Zhou has become a much larger danger than even the Saegusa's could had forseen. |

| Minami looks to have fallen for Minoru very easily. It was pretty cute seeing her like this, I must say. =) Although he's a bit frail at times, Minoru did showcase how strong he can be when he made the enemy's attacks look like a complete joke. Having him help out Tatsuya will have the enemies worried. Mikihiko wants to do he can to help protect Mizuki, which did lead to him having a short confrontation with Tatsuya, although he can only tell him a few bits of info, but can't say anymore than that. At least Mikihiko is willing to help Tatsuya out in anyway he can. The battle between Zhou and that butler was one-sided. The butler did his best, but he was outclassed in every step of that fight. It does prove that stopping Zhou will be a challenge. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

| NOW with this episode the Ending makes more sense with Minami and Minoru. This is SUCH A CUTE SHIP AAAAAAA. Figured that Zhou would not die this easily, ironically called out several things they would say in the battle like going to hell lol. |

| What happened between Tatsuya's maid and Minoru? Seemed like two childhood friends who saw each other as love potential having a reunion. Did they knew each other before? This chinese dude seems very strong. Tatsuya has to take him down or not |

| Minami might escape third wheel territory now. Zhou's Ancient Magic is brutal, but still has a certain grace to it. I knew Mizuki's boobs were big, but this scene below really put it in perspective, front and centre even.  |

| Another awesome episode. The way they are able to integrate easily slice of life elements in this action and full of fights anime is insane. Minoru is also very powerful in this universe as it seems, and I can't shake away the fact that Japan is way too powerful in this universe compared to what we've seen of other countries so far, which is a bit unjust. I would love to see something more of a Naruto style power balancing where all countries have really powerful weapons and fighters. Let's hope this chinese guy is a fighter of the calibre of Japanese forces. The main head of the Saegusa clan seems really dumb to me, his character is really insufferable based on how unethical everything he does is, and it's a shame his main underling will die like this, it also seemed like he was at least a bit powerful, he got the hang of Zhou's skills, that brain power already seems powerful enough for me to make him one of the more important characters power wise, but oh well. The romance aspect is something unpredictable and impressive in my view. As a romance lover, I love how things are developing here on all fronts. Multiple possible couples and slow development, they manage to showcase important relationship progress between all characters while not interfering with the pace of the action and fighting related stuff, which is incredible to me and very praise worthy. |
