Duke's proposal to Alice really is a life changer. Glad he found the courage to commit to it cause it felt like the entire season built up to this.

Also, good for Dulles that she's becoming human. That's also a life changer for her. Watching these characters develop over the course of this season was a surprising delight imo.

Bocchan's recovery has been swift, and more than Alice's right to call him Victor is quite the embarrassing blush, him relinquishing the heir to Walter and marrying Alice as a result from it results in him leaving the villa, but not before their wedding is settled. Walter is shouting: "THANK GOD, I'm the heir now!" haha. Also, Daleth being embarrassed about her kiss to Walter in the pursuit to become human, Sade and the Witches giving advice to her helps a lot. The announcement brought to both Zain and Zachou, of which Bocchan wants to work in music, he wants to live there for the rest of his life. As for Alice, her receiving compliments from the members of Circus Gemini, and Zachou remembering his promise to Bocchan, it's not all forgotten.

With Walter being the new heir, Gerbera must arrange a partner for him, though she knew that Walter has always got Daleth in his mind. The manuscript for a romantic first kiss sure is a lot to fill (25 years' worth), but he makes it clear that he loves her, and with the kiss, Daleth turns into a normal human, and she's a beauty just like her twin sister.

As for Rob, Bocchan has a dilemma since he was his personal butler for the long while, though the decision comes from him first. As the wedding invitations go: Nico and the teachers send bouquets in exchange; Evelyn couldn't attend to pursuit her novelist dream; and the surprise being Philip writing a letter of apology and attending the ceremony with his sister in favour. Most importantly, the long-standing tumultuous relationship between mother and son, as well as between Sharon and Sade, is finally resolved.

Bocchan and Alice's marriage, along with Season 1's OP (which I still consider to be the best OP of the series), it's happy and heartwarming to finally see the both of them have the long-awaited first kiss of their lives.

With that, the anime has finally come to an end, reaching the finale of the manga! What a series.

So glad these two got married in the end. Kinda fell out of love with this show this season, but they stuck the landing, which to me is all that matters, and fuck man will I miss these two.

Would be lying if I said I didn't cry when I heard that first OP again as they kissed. Farewell.

A solid conclusion to wrap up this series and nice to see after what all have happened, Alice and Victor to get married and pursue their happiness in their own way together, alongside some others having their closing moments be strong too like Walter/Daleth as well. I didn't like this show much and the humor and tonal shifts in it at times, a bunch of episodes throughout bored me admittedly but even with me feeling mixed about the season, the ending did feel nice and wrapped it up well enough. I think because of the last couple episodes and the start, I'd probably say that this season was better than the first two.

Pretty good note to end on! I'm surprised how much they managed to wrap up in this episode without it feeling too rushed.
They missed an opportunity to animate Victor's hat getting knocked off at the kiss scene. I'm pretty sure it hit Alice in the forehead.

And just like that one of my fave romances ever ended 😭 can’t believe I almost passed on this because it’s 3D what do I do now.

No OP βœ… Series name as title βœ… yea this had all the makings of a perfect finale and it absolutely lived up to that. Everything I needed I got. Walter and Daleth happy ending, Rob politely letting Viola down while encouraging her to grow as a person, Sharon and Sade, long haired cuff and of course THE WEDDING.

This is how you handle a long running series’. Conclusion. Thank you to all the staff for all your hard work! You made me a believer in the magic of 3D anime and opened my mind.

“Time only means something because it’s not limitless” such a simple yet poignant truth that I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. Daleth choosing to live and die on her own terms with Walter rather than being immortal with Sade is such a nice way to show her independence. Happy for the two of them. That kiss was everything.

Speaking of Sade, who would’ve thought that the mighty witch would bow to Gerbera to plead for Walter to be able to marry Daleth and then to Sharon asking for an apology. She really is a totally different person now for the better. I would love a spin of manga just following her after the events of this.

Phillip my boy! What an apology. He didn’t get a ton of screen time, but I liked the episodes he got this season.

The wedding!!! Alice looked absolutely gorgeous my only complaint is it was so short 😭 I need to see them happily married with kids too man don’t just end it here lol. Gonna miss this sm

At long last, the series finale of The Duke of Death and His Maid is here. And it's just as good as I hoped it'd be.

Finally, the name reveal of the main character. It's the same name as his grandfather! Tho it'd be pretty funny if his actual name was "Duke."

Victor gives up being the heir. His mother was actually very understanding and allowed him to do that. The interactions with Victor and his mother were genuinely very emotional. It got me teary-eyed.

As a result, Walter became the new heir. Good for him. Tho this outcome was pretty predictable. Victor had no interest in being an heir anyway.

Victor can't be a noble and married to Alice at the same time. But somehow Walter can be the heir and also be married to an ex-witch from the witch's world which has no bearing in the human world. Funny how that works. But I think it'd be really easy for Sade to forge something that made it seem like Daleth actually is a princess from a faraway country or something. That'd be cool.

It's too bad Viola can't be with the person that she likes. But I'm glad the series didn't go with that weird route. Ig it's better to be left as forbidden love.

Keto and Teto were live-streaming. My theory is that the witch's world is far more advanced than the human world at that time. I also liked all of the other side characters who made appearances.

Of course, the wedding was beautiful too. But I wish they showed a bit more of what happens after that too. It's nice that Victor and the others live so close together now. Even though he's no longer a noble, it's nice that he'll still be close to his family and friends. This was such a good ending.

I'm glad I watched this show and didn't write it off just because it was 3D like others. I think this might be one of the best 3D anime out there. It blends so well that you don't even realize it's 3D CGI unless you actively think about it.

It's sad that so many of my favorite anime ended in the last 7 days. I'm gonna miss all of them including this one.

This anime is beautifully amazing. I laughed a lot and cried while watching this. Well done 3DCGI and pretty story writing, also the ending is satisfyingly fantastic. I'm glad I can follow through their journey until this point. Won't comment much about the music but I really love the OP and ED they had for this season.

Kudos to all of the people who worked for this! I'm gonna miss all of them omg...

I'm gonna say it, I'm not a fan of Sade redemption arc. It is the only way to get the ulra mega happy ending this story deserved and I'm glad she's redeemed, but I have issues with the arc itself. The reasoning of Sade scarring Daleth in childhood is bullshit (jealous and shit yeah, but their relationship is not like that at all), and this act alone means she was never a sane person to begin with. And then they decided to talk sense to her in the exact moment she wen't insane, and never even considered trying other time points like more into the past. The show isn't only romance, it was actually good at plot in previous seasons which is why I'm dissapointed. Another point, they didn't need to tie up all loose ends in the last couple of episodes. It felt like playing ten sidequests simultaniously to the point you forget the plot every quest and finish them at the same time.

Anyway happy for them and their long awaited marriage

The rare sight of a story, even more so a romance one, having a conclusion. Strangely enough I didn't particularly care as much for the main couple but I liked a lot every other one.

This episode was so beautiful, I may or may not have teared up a little. I've been following this anime since it was released in 2021 and I gotta say it's one of the best time investments I've ever made. What a spectacular, touching story. I hope more of Inoue-sensei's works get adapted into animes.

And so we end with tying up loose ends and a long-awaited wedding.

Well my thoughts on this series never really changed all that much from day one. I loved everything about it but the 3D CGI character model choices. If you took those out and put in traditional looking models I'd give this a solid 8/10. Instead it gets a 7.

With that said I know there were several bonus manga chapters after the wedding of Alice and Victor being all lovey dovey. I wish some of those had been adapted. And the only other thing I'd have liked to see was a flash forward bit. If any series deserved a "they had babies" ending it's this one. But I guess that's what doujinshi are for.

It took 36 wonderful episodes of beautifully expressive characters being everything that real people should strive to be, and even though the ending was always as predictable as a classic Disney movie it hit the feels like truck-kun with jetpacks.
Please let there be an OVA soon. Victor and Alice at the beach with their kids and Rob, maybe Viola too… dare I dream?

Beautiful finale. Satisfying ending. I love how this series ended, and truly worth watching this series all the way to the end. Tied up all the loose ends too hence everything got a proper closure. Every character in this series have their own appropriate conclusion and I'm so happy for all of them.

Still feeling teary-eyed to see Victor finally getting to hold Alice. That moment when the curse has been broken and the two of them finally hold each other for the first time....ah, I really broke down in tears from witnessing that. :')

I'm going to miss these charming characters and this series as a whole. Such a satisfying ending with this wedding and everyone's here. Well, not everyone as some people were absent, but you get my drift. The only thing that I could ask for is just some bonus extra episodes (as OVA or specials) showing the characters in their now happy daily lives. Or even their honeymoon. Or even a distant finale with Victor and Alice having a baby. Would be so lovely.

So everything has been wrapped up and concluded properly. Very happy to give this a solid 10/10 for this lovely satisfying conclusion. Thank you for such a wonderful story. :)

Tears of joy, Alice and Bocchan finally have their wedding, Bocchan reconciled with his mother, Daleth and Walter get to be together, Sade and Sharron are friends again, Rob is gonna stay with Alice and Bocchan with Viola visiting, Amelia got a human body from magic so she can be closer to Zachou. This is how every adaptation should be done. 10/10 Also tears of sadness cause there won't be anymore but rewatching will be great.

When I watched the first episode in 2021, I never thought I would become so attached to this 3D anime and it ended up being one of my most favorites of its kind. Thank you for the quality delivered for this fantasy romance story. Adorable and with adorable characters, I couldn't be happier with the ending!🌹🌹🌹

P.s.: I never thought I could fall in love with an octopus , Amelia is very cute and was even cuter at the wedding 😍😍😍, I'm jealous of Zachou, if I were him I'd even buy a submarine to go live with her at the bottom of the sea.

10/10 No doubt!

What a beautiful ending to a wonderful anime. I'm going to miss this anime so much, I loved everything about it. I remember watching S1 when it aired in 2021, around the time I got into seasonal anime. This show taught me that there is nothing inferior about CGI anime. I'm so grateful this was able to get a full adaptation with lots of love poured into it.

I highly recommend others to check out High Score Girl, another CGI romance anime by the same director :)

Aww! Alice and Bocchan are married! Daleth and Walter will also get married in the future~ β™‘

Finally after 3 seasons, we got a real happy ending. There were so many happy endings in this episode... I'm happy for all of them.

Even though it felt like these two or three episodes were too fast (like they wanted to make this end soon) especially about Sade and when Alice decided to leave Bocchan's place, but honestly I'm happy... seeing them hugging and even kissing and getting married is what I want to see the most. So happy for them!!

Oh and, I didn't know that Bocchan's name was Victor lol. Finally Alice called him by his name before the anime ended xD

I would have never imagined this series getting a full adaptation, but here we are. I read the manga after the first season and kept up with it until it finished. I am glad to see the conclusion in anime format as well. I really hope we at least get an OVA or something, there are bonus chapters they could do and some Sade adventures I really want to see. But anyway, this series was such a joy to watch and read, just all around wholesomeness and everyone is happy. 9/10

@einstorage6691 Right, but there's literally an immortality curse that Sade can cast and take off as naturally as she breathes: it'd be easier to use than finish the 1,000 steps, that's for sure. And there'd be plenty more time to change their minds if things really go south. He lives longer, and she keeps her magic: Win-win. And if there's some convenient book to turn her into a Human, why not a convenient book to turn him into a Witch? It's not like Humans can't use magic at all anyway.

@HyperlinkBlocked no, that is not win-win. I don't think any sane human want immortality. there is no way Walter want to see every person he love death yet he still alive.

"And if there's some convenient book to turn her into a Human, why not a convenient book to turn him into a Witch?". only God and Author know at this point, but since it does not mention I will stand by with Sade can't turn witch into human I guess

That is exactly a win-win. He's going to see a ton of them die to begin with, like his mom, and his dad. Not to mention any unfortunate accidents. And, thanks to his running complex, he'll get to see Victor die too, which is a nice bonus. Seeing a couple extra while keeping your eternally youthful wife is something to consider. Nobody even consulted him about any of this. She just decided to be Human for no apparent reason.

Page 7, Chapter 132 clearly establishes Wizards as something different from witches. They're either Human/Witch hybrids, or just Humans who got magic from Witches. Zain is a witch, Niko is a sorcerer. We literally have precedent in the story for non-witches using magic directly.
