| Noooot baaaaad. Not great either, was expecting more from this series. Story build up is kind of slow, but at least it's there, I suppose. This Meiren girl is interesting though. I'm wondering what she's going to be up to, seeing as she doesn't seem to be one of the 'bad guys' and isn't from the manga. |

| The only thing that really shone in this episode was its extremely neat direction. I think I'll watch this show just for that, I don't really care about the script and characters so far. |

| Ok, I have read several chapters of the manga between last and this episode. Now I totally understand what everyone says: This anime adaption feels like elementary school kids acting out some movie. This is no longer Dance in the Vampire Bund. The episode itself was often pretty close to the manga for the first time, but that doesn't make this better. Akira and Mina are totally out of character and everything feels so ridiculous and soulless. I never thought I also would say all this, but unfortunately it's the truth. And I have always liked SHAFT. I could totally understand one dropping this and only reading the manga. |

| I think this Episode was much better then the others 2. Hrrhrrr, Akira, dress you. Maids, ftw :P And the "new" charachter at the finish of the episode is cool xp Mina Tepes in the school uniform is awesome *_* I'm sort of glad that I don't dropped this anime. The plot thickens |

I read the manga up to date so far and the anime adaption is just disappointing. But I will stop there. Why bother saying what everyone else has already stated? The manga is better and I will leave it at that and try to judge this as a stand alone. So far my biggest compliant has to do with the director. I hate this style he has placed. It is the same style that helped ruin Bakemonogatari for me. Which is that most of the episode the camera keeps changing randomly about every one or three seconds and most of the shots include random scenery and a zoomed in part of a anime character. It makes actions seem over exaggerated and cheesy as well as making it hard for a viewer to get sucked in when the camera keeps jumping around like a skittish rabbit. So the viewer is busy wondering what the hell that are looking at now and the second you figure it out.....bam! New camera shot. Be it of a building or some girls skirt. There was even a point in this episode were the screen flashed to yellow and made me wonder "What the hell?!" The main reason why this annoys me is because action scenes never look good with this style of camera. Now I know that it is doubtful that this will be as action packed as the manga seeing the direction this seems to be heading to but I know that any action scenes with this style will be.....boring. If you ever seen an action scene in the Bourne movies you may know what I am talking about. Action scenes are best shot with a camera that does not change too fast. But if you have the camera banging around the place then it really makes it hard to appreciate the animation of a good fight. |

| The EP was fine I guess. Though it was actually just more boring than ever. Lets hope the next ep won't be so bad as this one. >_>; Candy Girl just now interested me. Hope to see her more in the eps. :D Breaking a window with 1 piece of candy? just wow. |
| I liked the episode, although I don't read manga so I'm not easily disappointed like all the little fanboys and girls here. Better than the ladies vs butlers ep3 at least but im not one to complain since i pretty much just watch them all |

I honestly hope not, because it always seemed that the bad guys were only capable of sending assault after assault against Mina and Akira without much tact. I'm hoping candy girl ends up being someone independant who wants to mess with Mina by stealing Akira from her. After all, she helped him, called him sexy, and then gave him her number. When it boiled down to it, all the other bad guys just kind of... went right for the Mina and Akira or just Akira. I'm hoping she's at least going to be bad in an interesting way, like trying to manipulate Akira or something. (´_ゝ｀) Right now, candy girl is my greatest hope for something interesting in this anime. |

| lol the way Mina had everyone try and capture Akira reminded me of the scenes in Code Geass where Milly would order everyone in the school to hunt down Lelouch xD Episode was entertaining, it's getting more interesting now, I have a feeling I'll eventually be picking up the manga considering how like everyone who's read it has said it's so much better. Also LOLwut@ whoever said AkiraxYuki should happen xDD Pfft as if the Akira x Mina isn't obvious enough ._. |
| You know i never started the manga because i knew the anime was gonna air for a long time now, so i didn't want to be affected and not enjoy the anime. But even with out reading a single page i still see that something is wrong with this anime. The plot is vague until now, instead of dark games, scary cool vampires, armies and politicians, we get a school life environment with naked butt girls. And Mina Tepes the princess of darkness doesn't behave like a scary loli dark princess except from a few scenes, but she acts more of the time like a normal loli. Even with out reading the manga i have the impression that her character must be more interesting in the manga and that they screwed her essence with the way they are showing her. Hell in some scenes i thought i was watching Louise and her familiar. I will suggest one thing to the Shaft personnel making this anime: Put the DVD's of Hellsing OVA on the screen. Watch them a few times and then under that kind of influence continue the next 9 episodes left. If you do that maybe you can save a boat that is full of disappointment and high expectations falling apart. Am not against going a little original but they went completely the wrong way. I actually i agree on changing it a little but if it was me i was gonna make it a little darker than the manga with even more secret games under the shadows, completely ignore the school environment(certainly not use the amnesia bullshit) and when Mina will talk loli cute it will also be a little creepy(something they did a little in episode 1) because it will always seem like she could charge at you in any second and start drinking you blood. |

That would ruin her whole ideal of vampires and humans to co-exist peacefully. However, she is far more dangerous than most people take her for. Most things you describe don't fit her nature. She doesn't just go out and suck people's blood, only if she has to (as in episode 2, where she's being attacked). At the very least, we've seen that she's a good schemer by having an entire school built to accommodate the needs of vampires and pretty much removing the power of the student council by declaring herself as principal. Heck, she even bought out the Japanese government to allow her to build a kingdom off their coast. And now that they don't like the thought of living next door to vampires anymore, she pits pressure on them by hitting them at their weak spot: money. For the most part, she behaves like she does in the manga, so I think people are either overreacting or don't fully grasp what Mina's all about. |

| Well I guess I'm not disappointed because I haven't read the manga still the anime itself is pretty decent since I went into it not knowing what to expect. The chase did remind of Code Geass too which I thought was pretty funny. I'm kinda curious as to whats going to happen next since the plot is so vague. |
| I haven't read the manga and even so this show is disappointing me. This style of direction worked with Bakemonogatari, but won't work with this one. | At last. 1 episod was 100% filler, 2 - 50% and now twe have normal episod 90% like in manga. But the best is twhat they don't exclude Yuzuru-Nanali loveline ))). I really liked this couple in manga. Hope, other eopisodes won't be fail andf hope we'll get at least 24 episodes |
