The show returns and already rumors spreading around school about Mash.

Too bad we didn't get a proper celebration for Mash since his latest accomplishment. Instead, he is judged for his 'lack of magic' by the vice director. Interesting to see Ryoh Grantz being animated though. I love how Mash responded even though Ryoh had his intimdiating presence. Interesting to see the Divine Visionaries making an appearance too.

Just a two season break, and we’re back in the world of Mashle. For many reasons, this could very well be the last season of this series… the biggest one being that the manga was already finished last year. But okay, we’ll see.

As for the episode itself, I’m dead sure the first few minutes were something we already went over during the last episode of the last season lol. If they were doing that to properly expand the stuff they couldn't do back then, that’s fine. Otherwise, it could act as a recap kind of too lol. Though the bottom line being, Mash’s secret was, and is out in the open…

… that he’s devoid of any form and shape of magic. Needless to say, their school wouldn’t let it go past as it is, as Mash was indeed invited over a hearing where they were supposed to pass judgement over his enrollment in the school, though hey as if things go so simple and straight in this series. Loved when Mash showed how “manly” he is lol.

Ryoh and other divine visionaries made their first appearance too, Orter being the one we need to keep an eye on tho. Lighting fire with friction and winning Ryoh’s trust aside, when Mash literally turned that magical parasite into some kind of “art”, that had me dying lol. Still doesn’t change the fact that divine visionaries want him dead, as he is irregular.

Very goofy opening song. And ED’s quite rich with those expensive cars lol. Fine return.

Magic and Muscles is back, and this time, it's bringing the Divine Visionary Selection Exam Arc with it.

I gotta say, Creepy Nut's OP is hands down one of my top picks this season. The full version is probably gonna be like 10 times better, but just this bit is doing it for me right now. And Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku's ED... doesn't hold a candle to Cream Puff Funk

The carefree days are behind our little gang, but now there's gossip spreading in school that Mash can't use magic. Meanwhile, Mash and the gang, triumphant in their battle against the Seven Magic Fangs (Magia Lupus), claim the class coins from Lang Dormitory, making strides towards becoming god-sensates. After school, Abel, Love, and Abyss join in Mash and the crew's celebration, and just when things are getting lively, a surprise visit from an owl leaves behind a mysterious letter.

I'm kind of wondering how Dot's holding up, you know? The gang's over there celebrating with the guy who got him into that messed-up state in the first place. And Love, well, she's taking advantage of Dot's situation with her appetite. I thought Mash was going to throw a punch so fast it would set the air on fire, but what he did was even cooler—tying that magi parasite thing into a balloon animal with his tongue. We listened to the bad guy's speech, saved the old guy, so I guess that's it for now.

Now, the big question is, can Whalberg actually convince the Divine Visionaries not to go ahead and kill Mash?

Hajime Komodo's Mashle is back...focusing on The Divine Visionary Candidate Exam Arc.

Creepy Nuts's OP is kind of a banger bop, really. But Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku's ED...it is different, though I'm not sure if it fits. It has bling cars and whatnot, but the previous ED was so much better.

Continuing where Season 1 left off with Mash Burnedead defeating the Lang dorm (with its coins moved to Adler), but after facing Innocent Zero's Cell War, more and more people are noticing that Mash can't exactly use magic. Everyone is back...with Dot, who's all wrapped up in bandages. And so, a big feast is held while awaiting the Divine Visionary selection...with Abel and the Abyss members. But still, Mash loves his cream puffs, and the warning to him about Innocent Zero, whom have used Abel and the Abyss to their advantage, it's because of Mash that they're able to get back on track.

But Mash's summoning to the Bureau of Magic's emergency inquiry into his concealment of magic, the inquiry is interfered by one of the Divine Visionaries: The Light Cane of Ryoh Grantz, testing him to light a candle without touching it...which he rubs a wand on the stone floor and creates a fire, further cementing his reputation as changing the world with his fists. The other Divine Visionaries, summoned by Headmaster Wahlberg, are no exceptions to the rule, with Innocent Zero planting a magiparasite on the old man Bless as a declaration of war...that Mash does it with ease, surprising the staffer Nefrey Shawn. Even as Mash acts like a kid, the Divine Visionaries will not take this lightly, with both Wahlberg and Rayne Ames showing up.

The story truly starts from here, to become a Divine Visionary. How will Mash make sense of all this?

Season 2 let's go! Judging from the trailers, the animation will be much better this season, excited for that.
The OP is fire! I knew it will be from the trailers, but the visuals, including the text font, are really good too lol. Seems really fitting for Mashle.
LMAO all the enemies sitting with them like nothing happened is so funny to me.
And someone please untie Dot I feel so bad for him
16:29 I liked Agito's introduction in the trailer more. There the narrator was saying the character's name, then the character would say something, but for him the narrator said "Hey, say something".

19:39 His name is "tsukkomii" lmaooo

The ED is showing everyone in the modern world like the previous ED! Nice, I like it. And it's cool how tey're using IRL footage in it too.
Good start. This already seems funnier to me than season 1 for some reason.

Got to see Love Cute again, early in the season. Which is nice.

I like the cool-aid owl delivering the letter.

Oh no! Xehanort want to kill Mash. We need a keyblade.

Mash have some serious tongue action proficiency.

The ED is fine and stuff, but now I want to know what car Lemon would drive.

Mash having his life hang in the balance. Since his big fight with Abel everyone now knows that Mash doesn't have any magic. That rumor spreading around quickly as most rumors at a school do. Even low level chumps are coming for Mash thinking since he doesn't have magic he's an easy target. People without magic being persecuted in this world is a detail that was kinda not addressed last season but with the truth of Mash coming to light that issue is front and center. Finn sticking up for himself standing by Mash as a friend even though hiding someone not having magic could get him in trouble too. Mash being put on trial by the higher ups in this world, only for that trail to he crashed by the Divine Visionaries. Whom themselves want to deal with Mash, A very cool scene telling us about each of the Visionaries and what their magic speciality is. A few in particular stand out and we will see more of them as time goes on. They're not a monolith that's for sure since they're disagreeing about how to deal with Mash.

Mash Up Mashle is back with rumors going around the academy that Mash can't use magic after the Abel fight. Despite all that, Mash managed to make friends with Abel and Abyss warring Mash that he's being targeted by Innocent Zero. It seems not all of the Divine Visionaries are not in agreement in executing Mash for concealing his lack of Magic as Light Cane, Ryoh Grantz sees potential in him after passing one of his tests of lighting the candle without touching it. However, Headmaster Wahlberg has other plans as he entered the room.

Creepy Nuts have another banger OP and the ED is nice too.

Normally I don't gush about Ops or Eds, they are merely boxing or wrapping material for me for the real content. Still, this OP is catchy AF. The two tone animations of Mash and gang are delightfully in sync with the beat of the song, and the style that yells "shonen" does fit so well with it.

The new bad boys on the block are quite cool. It will be interesting to see the new match ups now that Mash's old rivals are at the very least non confrontational towards him and his posee.

And I'm getting impression that Mr. Sawabe Junichi (blond bastard's seiyuu) is getting mainly strong and ellegant characters to voice last times. Like it :) His voice makes me feel cosy.

Mashle is back, and it returns in a big way with that insane OP by Creepy Nuts – it's pure fire! And the ED has its own charm, featuring the male material of the anime and even adding cars.

We pick up where we left off, where Mash is discovered to be unable to use magic. Wait, what am I saying? he can! he can! he can!

All of Mash's companions are back, and there are even new friends, some of whom were antagonists in the previous season. But the fun is interrupted by Abyss's warning about Innocent Zero, who is inexplicably after Mash.

Additionally, Mash is summoned for interrogation regarding his inability to use magic. Grantz Ryoh, a Divine Visionary, challenges Mash to light a candle without touching it, a challenge he easily surpasses. Just when they think everything is settled, other Divine Visionaries try to kill Mash, but Innocent Zero declares war and takes a hostage along the way. However, Mash solves the situation by creating a dog-shaped balloon with the Magi-Parasite.

Nevertheless, the execution of Mash is still pending, although Dumbledore... I mean Wahlberg and Rayne, enter the scene.

A great start to this second season that promises a good dose of action.

Another banger opening song here, ngl. Comedy still at its usual way. More hotties coming along to be introduced, yes its Suwabe again and also Hayamin for the lady, as the most recognizable one. While Mash still don't give more shit about situation and giving that face, really a usual Mashle comedy.

I'll keep staying here and hopefully they adapt this till the end chapter of source so i don't need to give more shit as well with the source. Let's see next...

Mashle's back and continued where it left off but I thought it was a little strange how the old rivals were hanging out like they never had hostages and almost killed Dot. I guess Mash is letting bygones be bygones although now he's targeted by both Innocent Zero and some Divine Visionaries but the blonde guy seems to respect Mash.

I liked the gag humor including Lemon being Lemon with her fantasy of marrying Mash and her saying something about feeding him like newlyweds and later on Mash tying up the parasite thing into a balloon dog lol.

A new arc, and hopefully I'll have a better time with this season than the last one, which bored me by the time it ended. The OP and ED were very solid, especially Creepy Nuts' banger of an OP. As for the episode itself, it was more of the same humour as before, and for now I don't have much to say. At least things should pick up a bit with the arc ahead.

Fun start to the new season. The previous bad quickly becoming friends and being part of boke squad. New characters seem a bit uptight but surely that won't last.

The OP was both amusing and silly. Actually really liking it. The ED where you find out Mash is pushing his car in the end, lol. Reminds me of the Saitama heart attack meme.

Mage asssassins huh a perfect fit if anything. Pretty catchy OP. Poor Dot though. The party sure had quite the unique atmosphere right down to love sneaking in to raid the party food. A peaceful world where magic and non magic users can live equally is a nice dream. Abyss being weak to girls though was a nice weakpoint for him. Ryoh sure gave out a near impossible task. But that was a nice prelude to the divine visionary's arrival within the narrative. Man that meeting sure escalated pretty quickly though. Overall a pretty nice start to the season that did well to recap everything that happened so far while intruducing plenty of new faces in the form of the divines.

The wait wasn't long for the second season of Mashle to begin and it starts off with one odd, but VERY catchy OP song. The visuals and sakuga animation in the OP also goes hard as well, which I always approve of. =)

The episode itself didn't waste time to getting to the point of the attention of Mash not being able to use magic has spread to the point that the higher-ups are now making their judgement on him. The Division Visionaries have a split opinion of what they want to do to him, with Ryoh testing him and having good expectations of him, to the Desert cane guy wanting to stick to the rules and have Mash executed. To make matters more complex, Innocent Zero also make their declaration known of wanting to use Mash for their own gains.

With Walhberg and Rayne showing up at the end, which the latter ended a standoff between Ryoh and the Desert cane guy by the use of his swords, I expect things to get more tense in finding a solution that works for the majority here. Whichever you look at it, Mash is going to have a tough challenge upon him very soon.

The ED has a mixture of animated and real life clips mixed together, but as a big fan of cars, I do seeing a good portion of the characters standing with their chosen car (and one bike as well). Lance with a blue Ferrari 296 GTB and Finn with his Morgan makes me proud of the pair's good taste in cars! XD

Mash is back and it seems as if he never left at all.

From the get-go you get the usual gags akin to the series. Mash can't tell that he can't use magic but at least he's been thrown a party. The way he reacts to everything and the hip hop music starts playing in the background is quite hilarious. "Who do you think created this world?" "Some big shot" XD

Now the actual big shots have come to prosecute him although there's no telling how will Walhberg and Rayne react to this until next episode. Also, the opening is already one of my candidated for best of 2024 and it hasn't even been a week. Cool ending sequence as well with the cars.

Mashle sure isn't the smartest now is he?

The whole "Mashle can't use magic" could have easily been explained away with him saying that he uses physical enhancement magic which applies a multiplier to his physical strength. This would justify the need for his constant physical training and people would easily be able to accept it given just how unprecedented his performance in that area is.
