Keiya drawing a sword in class was not something I had expected.

This episode had some complicated feelings but the chemistry betwee him and Isaku is still obvious. On the other hand, it was great to see the main cast gets dressed up for their festival play. It brings out their looks and the reactions were priceless. Isaku does look great though, even if she feels embarassed imo.

Somehow the name of this week's episode perfectly describes the whole show (that, and collapsing animation too). Anyway, preparations for the play continues smoothly. With only the slightly higher amount of expected melodrama.

Also, that must've been the most sturdiest sword ... made out of cardboard box pieces, i have ever seen.

And dude, what is even that ending, lol.

At least the production quality is getting better, and no noticable animation error so far.

I was so pissed at Isaku for being so retarded this whole episode. you know, opening up like that to someone you barely met and who is just so obviously ill-intended. but suddenly she pretty much got what she was asking for so yeah, it was a good ending. perhaps, Isaku-chan will develop some brain cells after this ummm..predicament? one can only hope

Isaku rocks the Juliet look, but once she speaks, things start unraveling. Now I'm concerned about how the actual play will unfold.

Talk about a sudden escalation. Mikio goes from sporting a creepy expression to pulling out a blade and holding Isaku hostage.

Just shoot him Keiya, gun's faster than knife. Get rid of the pest.

Isaku chan looked cute in the Juliet costume. Keiya x Isaku moment was cute. He really is like a dog, sniffing and cuddling.

@Swagernator it's a little bit better than the previous episodes. Only the first episode was very decent. The next episodes were sloppy, especially the 7th one

Nah man that scene of Keiya grabbing and smelling Isaku was so real 😩 such a cute and intimate scene. I like how their relationship is slowly but surely taking steps forward..

Gotta say I’m pretty disappointed in Isaku in this one. She was extremely stupid all throughout this episode. Blonde dude has had bad intentions from day 1 and is clearly out to fuck up she and Keiya relationship at any cost.

I get that she might not want to escalate things, but she was a little too naive for my liking. Ultimately leading to her being in a life threatening situation at the end. Idk how this’ll be resolved next week but it’ll for sure be messy.

Animation quality was a little better in this episode but still severely lacking

Well, uh, the animation didn't fall apart this episode, which is rare. Lip syncing actually happened, faces didn't turn into amorphous blobs of poo (Well, not as badly as in previous episodes), and overall, it felt like the animators actually gave a shit for once. I still think Keiya is fuckin' creepy when he tries to be romantic, but at least his mouth flapped with his words when he did his usual creeper shit, and Isaku didn't spontaneously switch to a whiter-than-white ghost robe like she did in episode 6. Mikio is supposed to be unlikable trash, but I actually kinda like him, since I feel like this anime would be intolerable by now without him. Yeah he held Isaku at knife point, but it's like he's the only one with a vibrant personality right now. He's a fun antagonist, which is something I always approve of.

isaku needs to be rescued yet again huh, who could've seen that coming. isaku saying she likes his face while the studio isn't doing any justice to it at all is hilarious lmao. that sword scene in the classroom was cringe but we move. keiya taking a sniff and tanuki pulling out a knife, this is cinema.

I can get the scene Keiya pulling in Isaku is meant to be sexy and it kinda is in some ways how she was straddled on him and how he held her but I was too bothered by how rough he was with yanking her arm so damn forcibly and fast. That obviously would have hurt her, unless it's bad timing on the animators part. He comes off like an abusive boyfriend sometimes. At least he isn't a lowlife like Mikio but as a character Mikio is a bit more interesting since he actually expresses emotions more for one thing..

About Isaku saying too much I think it's just her having the right buttons pushed to get her talking rather than her being outright stupid though she is a little stupid.

The perchance that Tanuki saw both Isaku and Keiya having their moment together, it just strikes melodrama.

The preparation for the festival continues, though Isaku must be on her guard more since they don't know what Tanuki is up to with his antics, since she as a maiden in a one-sided love, can be steered quite easily, and it just so happens that Keiya is getting too annoyed of Isaku's relations with Tanuki too much, he ended up attacking him with the fake sword. And like a guard dog, Keiya wanted praise...and more. Hiding from Tanuki is impossible at this point, though he will obviously try and break them apart.

The dispute betwen Keiya and Tanuki may be never-ending, but what matters more is the play, and the clothes that maketh the people playing the part, espeically the trio acting as the main characters and Tybalt. Onto the acting rehearsal...and apart from looking beautiful, it's clear that Isaku still has a long way to go, but they accepted her bad acting, and Keiya is not helping on his fabricated lies to help mkae her feel better. Tanuki offers to help, though that creates uneasiness for Keiya, and as much as Tanuki has the act, the much...er, rather, crude act of brandishing weapons and holding Isaku hostage, that could only mean one thing: Isaku is a Yakuza clan's target.

A forced ending, though stories of this nature are not all that surprising.

Why am I still watching this? I just want this to end TT___TT. I'm so close to dropping this but a part of me is wondering how it can get any worse. I'm not even surprised it ended on this note. It's so predictable...

Also I think the animation was even worse than last time. Sometimes the faces look so cursed. Is this supposed to be horror?

To each their own I guess... it's not for me...

Keiya went too strong with a sword and it turned out he wanted to get rid of a bug on Mikio's stomatch, as a reward he got to hug Isaku on the roof and it was kind of awkward to see.

That ending... The true face of Mikio is revealed now, uh-huh. I hope the story won't end up being worse in the last few remaining episodes.

was isaku really blaming herself for keiya's outburst at tanuki? REALLY? saying she didn't watch him and thate as his fault?
and he then goes on asking her for a pat on the back for being a violent asshole?
(i'm not even gonna talk about the lap hug and whatever happended there)
this is so not okay...

in a weird way, what makes this a light watch for me is the horrible animation because HSGSJEBDKSHDJSKE it's so funny.

@fukumenkei Seriously. If it weren't for the abnormally bad production quality, I would've dropped this by now. There really isn't much else keeping me here.

@fukumenkei Episode 6, actually, but that episode was amazing. I genuinely don't know of a more animation error riddled anime than this one, which honestly overrides my disgust in the surrogate father/daughter romance. Just watching the animation talent dissolving into a primordial ooze like this is something magical.

I’m happy to say this episode is the best looking one since episode 2, of course there were parts here and there that looked sus but overall it was a serviceable one, tho unfortunately it looks like some folks are watching this just because of the bad art and animations, I’m personally on the other side of the spectrum that loves the content itself but is not a fan of the adaptation, but I guess shows will attract folks for different reasons lol.

And as for the episode itself, the play is coming along nicely with some exceptions, like when Keiya attacked Tanuki with a prop sword and Isaku’s acting lol. There was also a good scene with Keiya and Isaku on the roof, it’s kinda like Tanuki said, it’s pretty clear now that Keiya loves Isaku and isn’t just being her dad but we gotta keep Isaku questioning it because otherwise it wouldn’t be as interesting lol. And the gang looks good in their costumes, especially Keiya and Isaku, they kinda slay lol. And I’m ngl that last scene caught me off guard, other folks here say that Isaku was stupid this whole episode for giving Tanuki the time of day so maybe that means I’m stupid too because I thought Tanuki wouldn’t actually do anything bad, looks like I was wrong lol. Next episode will be an interesting one, and hopefully they can keep the art and animation at least on this episode’s level.

Honestly this episode was kind of boring with how little animation and drawing errors there were. Also that cliffhanger came out of nowhere but at least it could maybe spice stuff up in this show. The first genuine nice comment I can give to this anime though it that the those costume designs looked really good and were drawn well.

I didn't see anyone with 4 eyes this time, that could count as an improvement?

Of course, anatomy went out the window, as for foreshortening... more like failshortening. Also what is perspective and why did they buy it off wish?

Man you people... You crack me up with these words. Okay, so incest? Please, enlighten us as to where the incest is.

My actual episode comments:
This one wasn't so bad but kind of boring. Mikio's arm's giving me damn nightmares.

The scene on the rooftop where they had a hug was surprisingly, not animated so badly.

All this bad animation though, it makes me wonder what the blu-ray will look like. They have until January to fix things up, anyway. I'd probably say, if you didn't already start watching, you should just watch 6 months or so for a fixed version. The whole time, it honestly just stinks of a rushed production that has had some major issues.

A 26 year old man jealous of a 15 year old boy. Hahaha doesn’t he see something wrong with that? The pressure for good acting is making Isaku so anxious. I feel bad for her.

Why is Keiya just standing there while Isaku is trying to defend them. Speak up damn it. Keiya is acting so fucking stupid. Get in the way and interfere wtf and he does, but then Isaku tells him to stop, noooo you're too naive and stupid to understand the situation. The rooftop scene was soooo cute ahhh!! I can't take it :') but there goes the blondie keeping creepy. Also why aren't the friends more protective of Isaku when they know blondie is a creep. Keiya looks so good in his costume, he outshines the blonde by a landslide and he's not even Romeo lmaooo well at least Keiya stayed behind and didn't let those two alone...
