Tbh, I like Suzuno's attitude this episode and her level of confidence in her friends. On the other hand, I wish they made Chiho more useful this episode but she ended up being damsel in distress. Poor Suzuno...even trying as hardest she could, she got beaten down.

However, it looks like Maou has a plan to save Emi and Ramus. Hope all goes well cause it's not going to be easy.

There is a scene after credits!
Is it just me or in some parts the animation was better than usual this episode? Like 17:06.

As greater demons go Libicoco's pretty weak. As a distraction i guess he's perfect. But the true culprits sure was a surprise. Amane sure made one hell of a timely entrance. But Maou sure was the coolest. The angel in red sure had some beef to pick with Satan. Despite our late counter this was still a defeat for us. Still this was a nice set up for the quest to rescue Emi, Ashiya and her dad.

This one went by in a flash for me, it was a pretty exciting episode. Suzuno was whooping ass until they realized they were being duped, and from there it was a bad time, it kinda hurt to see Suzuno get slashed up but thankfully she was fine by the end of the episode, she put in the work tho for sure. And Maou finally made it to the fight thanks to the help of Tsubasa/Acieth, he had a decent fight with that red armored Angel but it didn’t last that long sadly, that guy really wanted Maou dead tho lol, they had me thinking it was Emi Yusa at first but that was cleared up with the after credits scene.

And the situation with Ashiya didn’t go so well, they were done in and kidnapped but thankfully that one beach restaurant owner from last season happened to be in the right place at the right time to keep Suzuki safe at least, but this means Ashiya and Emi’s dad are both captured. And now we have a new goal regarding an art museum, I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how this rescue operation goes down.

I find all the serious parts so boring and convoluted, I just can't bring myself to care about any of the demon world stuff. I wish this was just a full on slice of life anime where this newly founded "patch-work" family is trying to survive in an modern day japan with all the shenanigans that come with it.

Ahh and I really hope this girl from Emi's work won't get amnesia...

I fail to realize what's Chiho's purpose here honestly, I may be biased because I never liked her since season one, but I truly don't see why she is one of the main characters.

Watch whatever format you like! Keep in mind that dubbed generally comes out later. In Canada we ate on episode 7 of the sub but only episode 4 of the dub.

Wow, the animation quality really stood out in this episode. It was a perfect fit for showcasing Suzuno's fierce confrontation with Libicocco, highlighting her character growth by choosing not to eliminate him until they understand his true threat level. Even Urushihara got a moment to shine as he protected them from a surprise Angel attack, although he didn't emerge unscathed.

On the downside, there's some bad news: Ashiya and Emi's father have been kidnapped. However, the silver lining is that all of Ashiya's investigative work from previous seasons seems to have paid off, potentially leading them to a way back into Ente Isla. It seems like Maou will be heading home sooner than anticipated to rescue both his generals—Ashiya and Emi.

Speaking of Emi, she might not be shedding tears, but her discontent is clear. She's confined with Alas Ramus, held hostage by the notorious Olba. He's using her father as leverage, making her situation particularly challenging. It's heart-wrenching to witness Emi's desperation for assistance.

One thing to note of this episode was how the animation has improved over the previous episodes. Sure, it's not going to shine well compared to other shows this season, but regardless, the good step up in quality for this part of the story is hugely welcome. =)

While the transformation of Acieth and Maou was awesome with their entrance and Amane made a good move on her part to save Suzuki from harm, they sadly couldn't prevent both Ashiya and Emi's father from being taken away by Gabriel and the angel soldiers. I do respect Suzuno and Urushhara for doing their best as well. However, while this was a setback, the clue left behind by Ashiya in a notebook has given a lifeline for Maou's group to bounce back and hopefully this will change the tide of this battle.

Also, I laughed with how immediate Chiho was in dragging Maou away from Acieth when she tried to touch foreheads with him again. Chiho's over-protectiveness over Maou here does make me chuckle! XD

Even though there's a lifeline for the group now, things aren't looking great for Emi, as she too has been captured along with Alas Ramus. Hopefully the pair can be rescued as soon as possible...

Another great episode, they’re cooking this season.

Suzu put up a very admirable fight against Libicocco but was always going to be outclassed when the knights got involved. She and Chiho did well to hold out until Maou arrived. The animation was great during all the action scenes today.

Speaking of which, that teamwork with Acieth was cool to see. Wasn’t expecting Acieth to be so good in a fight, she beat the brakes off clamuel lol. Love how Chiho is even worried about her taking Maou away 😂

So it’s Gabriel behind everything eh? Not a big shock there. Gonna be interesting to see how they rescue everyone next week. The enemy has the numbers advantage right now.

Every episode recently has amped things up more and more. Suzuno trying her best to defeat this demon that created the storm. Suzuno rocking him with her hammer and nearly winning right there if those angels hadn't shown up. Ganging up on Suzuno while she was also trying protect and carry Chiho. Lucifer trying his best to protect them but also being knocked out. Maou jumping in at the right time to save them all. Using that weird girl Tsubasa as a sacred sword just like Alas Ramus. A very powerful weapon demolishing that angel that kept spouting Satan name. Some great animation with the fights this episode. Suzuno with her hammer, Maou using the sacred sword, Tsubasa using good ole fashioned punches. Everything looked really good with the action. Gabriel showing up to abduct Ashiya and Emi dad and take them back to Enta Isla. Rika pleading with Gabriel to not take Ashiya was very sad to see. Maou has his work cut out for him going to rescue everyone, including Emi and Alas Ramus.

For what could've been a downer episode to balance out the slice of life events and progress the drama, the execution of the heroes being beaten and Rika's struggles in the animation felt lackluster for what the story asks for and the pacing near the episode's end was rushed. But it's passable. Here's to hoping the season's climax will pay off the preparations before the storm.

I like Acieth a lot, she is cute, funny and useful without needing to be a fkng baby lol

btw they have defeated Olba like 2 times already and he is still being the main bad guy??? Is there no other villain or what??? (since the archangels like Gabriel aren't "evil", just dumbasses actually trying to do their job, and the demons are just dumbasses). Olba is just an old man, having him as the villain over and over again is so damn uncool lmao

I noticed the same in other episodes too. You can spot the difference in the shadows, lighting and also in small details like the hair. It seems very incosistent so far - but it is there.

Yes, my thoughts exactly - it feels like the author doesn't know what to do next so, OH, new character. And this seems to be a long trend by now.

Anyway, so... about the episode. I think the way they decided to introduce Alas' sister was kind of a let down - but I do appreciate the change in pace.

Libicocco's rampage on Earth feels like a distraction, and indeed it is from Archangel Chamuel's Heavenly Regiment, which the both of them are working in cahoots to get Chiho and her Shard. On the other side, Gabriel is reclaiming Ashiya where Riko is stopping them as Amane enters for the save, as both Maou obtains another Shard with Acieth. And just when all hope seems lost, Maou comes in for the save engaging enemy forces with the sacred sword Better Half. Even if Gabriel manages to smoothen things out, getting Ashiya back will prove to be a dastardly approach, though his research from before will prove crucial.

The Gates of Hell at the Ueno art museum is where the Gate resides, and that proves their only hope to save Emilia, Alas Ramus and the rest back to Japan.

So Acieth is also a sacred sword?! She also seems pretty powerful on her own as Liicocco stood no chance and the Archangel Chameul wasn’t able to do anything against her.

I’m glad that Ashiya and Nord weren’t killed, but what exactly are Gabriel and the angels doing by taking them back to Ente Isla?! What exactly is Amane’s connection to all of this?! What is this Gate of Hell and why has Emi been kidnapped by Olba?

A lot to uncover…

DIOGabriel is back to "deport" Ashiya and Nord from Japan back to Ente Isla. The landlady's niece aids Rika but lets transdimensional immigration control do their business.
As Alas Ramus's sister Tsubasa can turn into a sword, too, enabling Satan's victory but yet another girl in Satan's life does not sit well with Chiho.

Is it me or it looks like they used an easy way to avoid some fighting scenes ?
I thought I missed something when I saw Emi's father and Ashiya captured.
It went from: "they are in front of the window to they are defeated without a fighting".

Same with Suzuno suddenly on laying on the ground immobilized by the soldiers' weapons.

It confused me more than it should have been...

Suzuno looks so sexy whenever she fights, especially whenever her sexy legs are seen. BTW, I'm glad her fight was animated well.
I like Camael's armor. It looks so badass! It's too bad he's so weak. Acieth beat him so easily. She has nice moves.
I'm not into little girls with short hair. However, I find Acieth attractive. Haha

Suzuno now care for the team and yeahhh they fight harder. Finally a fight scene and Maou did his best too with hmmm Alas Ramus sister? its getting more interesting. I love this episode and curious what will Maou did. Not intense like in season 1 but i hope there will be more fight again. Now Maou plan to save Emilia and they are too. All the things about Emilia didn't come back is now a real deal. Achieth is kawaii imouto too, now Maou getting more harem. Love this series so far.

Most of the fighting as off-screen and the rest had horrible animation...

Also Amane is a useless sack of shit. "I'll protect my turf" my ass, if you just let people on your turf get kidnapped without doing anything because you apparently shit your pants.

And apparently "Can you please let me go?" is enough for everyone to just agree and not do anything *sigh*

Definitely the worst episode so far and one of the worst in the whole franchise.
