| This shit was incredible! At first, I had high hopes of witnessing Minato's remarkable prowess in the war. However, upon delving into the story, I realized I actually cherished the emphasis on Minato and Kushina's relationship... It brought back memories of how much of a MinaKushi fan I used to be. Moreover, it's incredibly heartwarming to discover that the Rasengan was crafted as a present for Kushina, only to be inherited by their son over time. |

| Is this truly just a one shot? It was really just getting started and it was over. I can see this as a flashback episode in Boruto where he learns the creation of the rasengan. I had some hope that this would be the flame that ignites a Naruto prequel series. More please. I need more pages. |
| Wait a minute... Konohagakure didn't had black people before Karui and Chocho. So who is Dekai*?! lol Joking aside I wish it was longer, like maybe 5~10 chapter. So we could learn more about those new characters and see more old once and see more of rasengan development as parallel to Naruto learning it. but as Minato x Kushina story this one-shot worked great. Honestly, I wish Kishimoto would ditched Boruto and started to make more of those one-shots/short stories about beloved/popular characters. Maybe we could see Hinata doing something since Naruto (manga) ended and I was enjoying manga adaptation of LN. It could be fun to read 5~10 chapter stories (or one-shots) about each member of Akatsuki... Of course some of them got extended backstories like Sasori and Itachi but I think Kishimoto could figure this out, like maybe horror themed story for Sasori, Hidan or Zetsu? *Ok So Dekai technically appeared in chapter 122 (and episode 72) as Jiraiya's team 6 member but he was nameless + in manga he was white and in anime had lighter skin color than in this one shot and black hair. Other member of Jiraiya's team is still nameless. lol |

| Kishimoto should have just done one-shots like this for various characters after Naruto ended, hell, maybe even do side stories that span a volume or two to fill in some lore, instead of that underwhelming sequel series. This was beautiful. Seeing Minato and Kushina's relationship, seeing Jiraiya again, doing the popsicle thing 😭😭😭, learning that Kushina gave Rasengan its name (Minato really can't name shit 💀💀💀), what a nostalgia trip this was for this longtime Naruto fan. That clash Minato and Kurama had was chef's fucking kiss, Kishimoto's art is still as great as ever. What really got me though was that beautiful final panel, seeing Minato's head perfectly positioned where his Hokage stone face will eventually be had me tearing up. I'm so happy Minato won the popularity poll, he's one of my favorite Naruto characters, but now I selfishly want more lol. Madara, Shisui, and Kakashi's dad were all also in the top 10, I'd love one-shots for them too. But even just getting this, I'm satisfied. Any additional Minato content is welcome in my eyes. |

| That was so terrible that I almost laughed. I thought it was a joke tbh; all that hype for months about Minato getting a one-shot, and it was literally half about Kushina. We barely saw Minato's teammates and frankly other than the color pages, nothing about this waste of a one-shot interested me. It was basically Kishi's cheap way of filling in the gaps in Minato's backstory, except with way too much emphasis on the Rasengan (and Kushina like I said). |
| May not be the biggest fan of Naruto but it has the nostalgia like no other. Again it wasn't much of Minato I remember watching or reading in the main series, so him winning the popularity poll and getting his own one shot was a good way from them to again have our memories refresh about this great man. It was mostly about Kushina and Minato's days during the war. Though I've to agree as well it was kind of short, but hey a one-shot means a single chapter, it doesn't serve its purpose if it's multiple chapters at once lol. But still seeing Jiriya, that evil Kurama and the origin of Ransengan was plenty satisfying. Knowing what would transpire going forward, these were indeed happy times...:((( Again, I'd wish getting more of these one shots about other people as well. After all Naruto has a whole coal mine of such characters who fit this criteria and deserve. |

| Very happy with this. Impressive how well Kishimoto connected this to the main story. He is the creator so he probably had the idea of this one-shot's story while writing the main story but couldn't fit it in at the time. The Rasen -Helix theme was beautifully done. And Minato being next to Lord Third's head in final panel (foreshadowing his eventual promotion to 4th Hokage) was great too. Can't help but feel a little cheated though. This manga could've easily been a Kushina One-shot and it'd still be acceptable. Doesn't quite feel like a Minato story. Still enjoyable. And seeing Minato's Rasengan against Kurama's Beast Bomb was epic. |
| I really love all the revelations from this one-shot! The Rasengan is perfect for Naruto because it was developed with a Jinchuriki in mind. I also loved that Kushina ended up naming it in the end. Not a super high-stakes story, but this makes me glad that Minato won the contest in the end |
| If I had a nickel for every anime that began airing on October 9th 2022 that started with a B and ended in "ock", I would have two nickels. That's not a lot, but it's funny that it happened twice.    |
| Loved this so much, Kishimoto still got it haha! Wish he turned this into a whole prequel series but oh well. 10/10 from me since I voted for Minato and I'm satisfied with what we got. |

| decent stuff, i did vote for minato so interesting to see the result of that. wish there was more though, the past is what's actually interesting, not the future. so the rasengan used to be the 'halo hair whorl of jiraiya inspired by frozen dessert twin style sphere' lmaoo not long enough. but glad i got to see at least a bit more of my second favorite character in naruto. |

| Damn~ finally! It has been years since the last time we got canon Naruto content... Reading this one-shot brings back memories and reminds me why I love the series so much. I really hope Masashi Kishimoto is just testing the waters with this, so that if it does well in Japan, hopefully he would do more one-shots in the future exploring other characters and expanding the lore of the series even more. |

| Really happy that Minato one the popularity and got this one-shot. The man seriously needed some more lore and this scratched that itch perfectly. Also really glad that Kishimoto included Kushina in this story too, because I absolutely loved every page she was in especially the flashback of her talking with Mito about becoming the nine tails jinchuriki and finding love. And Kushina being the one to name the rasegan “Rasengan,” was just the icing on this immaculate cake. I mean, I would’ve like it to be called “Ice pop-inspired Nimbus Jiraiya Twin Whorl Sphere,” but rasengan good too. Seriously loved this one-shot, it’s such a nice feeling seeing these two characters in a new story after all these years. Anyways, I’m gonna go cry now… |

| Rasengan origin was great! Minato and Kushina relationship, the best pair in Naruto series! Besides these two, I'm delighted to see Jiraiya-sensei again, and of course Kurama. The characters that grew on me. Love seeing the cameos of Kakashi, Guy, Obito, Asuma, Kurenai, and Tsunade. I love them all. Reading this brings back good ol memories. Minato is just the coolest! |

Bittersweet that Kushina's life is affected as the jinchuriki, leaving her restricted in a barrier in the village and barely hanging out with her love Minato. Although, meanwhile his reason to focus on training instead of being together is because he's developing the rasengan. Funny it had an awful name until Kushina renamed it. All symbolizing with her last name and clan of Uzumaki (Spiral). I can't explain it properly, so I won't try, but... beautiful how we saw flashbacks of her grandmother caring for her, speaking of love, how it'll save her, and showing her up to her favorite place. Seeing Kushina in stages of the Nine Tailed Fox to then her and Minato saving her from being possessed by Kuruma was awesome. Great origin of the Rasengan. Created by Minato. Named by Kushina. 8/10. |

| It was good (4/5), but I wish they had gone further back into Minato's past. We know literally nothing about where he came from, what his childhood was like, who his parents were, etc. Also, his other teammate is clearly an Uchiha and Kishi just went, "Nah, not gonna elaborate further." We didn't even get their name!? I know it's not important to most people, but nerds like me have been obsessing over the identities of Minato's former teammates since they were first shown in the manga. Getting to know more about those two would have been infinitely more interesting to me than a Rasengan backstory. That said, it was nice to get some original Naruto material from the man himself. I hope he plans on making more one-shots later on as well. |

| Pretty good. Wish there was a physical version of this in English, or at least have it animated. They need to make more prequel one-shots! There's so much explored territory with the Senju clan (like Hashirama's kids), Sakumo Hatake, Tenten/Rock Lee's families, even just more focus on the Uzumaki clan (with Naruto and Karin discussing their heritage, maybe having Naruto learn the sealing techniques). |

| Honestly thought this was gonna be a lot better unfortunately. It's just okay. & Yeah why is that leaf nin obviously from the hidden cloud village? If he had another name it wouldn't be an inconsistency but the fact that he obviously has a Kumo ninja name just makes him seem out of place in this era as a konoha ninja, without an explanation. |
